Your views on what a successful season for Aberdeen looks like
Following a Scottish Cup victory and qualification for European football last season, we asked for your views on what success would look like for Aberdeen this what some of you said:Andy: Top-six, a cup final and European football beyond Christmas. I'd settle for Playing good football and playing to win every game no matter who it is, belief is key, and a good performance in Third place and get within 15 points of the league winners, decent runs in the cups and European football, then that would be a successful season. A more balanced season would be good, especially tighter games against the Old A more balanced season and clear signs that we are picking up what the manager is putting down, another cup wouldn't go amiss Realistically a comfortable top-three finish and at least the semi's in both the cups is the expectation. A good European run would also be a step forward. Real success would be winning a cup or splitting the Old Firm as we won't have the squad depth to actually win the league without significant A good run in Europe, hopefully to the knock out rounds or further. A cup final and a top-three finish in the Consistency with good results. Being tough to beat again. I'd like to see group stage Europa League with a couple good results there, obviously I'd like another cup, but top-three has to be the goal every With group stage football in the first part of the season we just need to make sure we are in about the top-six going into the second half of the season. Then we can kick on and go after the top-four and Scottish cup.

'It's down to us to finish season on a high'
Craig Sibbald insists Dundee United are ready to cast aside their "wee blip" and finish on a high with European have followed a hat-trick of wins with three successive post-split defeats to come under pressure from St Mirren for a European Goodwin's side might need a result at Ibrox tonight to keep European qualification in their own hands before the final Sibbald said: "The boys are all confident. We've had a wee blip recently, but every game's tough in the top six and we've been doing really well up until that."All in all, I think we've had a really good season and we can be proud of where we are now - not many teams who have been promoted from the Championship have made into the top six straight away."Unfortunately, we've not had a good start to the top-six games, but who's to say we can't finish on a high and get maximum points out of the next two games?"We just need to remain confident and keep believing that we can get something. It's down to us now and we want to finish the season on a high."We were disappointed with the result (on Saturday), but it's in our hands and we're sitting in a good position in the table."So we just need to learn from our mistakes and try and cut them out them at Ibrox on Wednesday to make sure we can try and get three points."
