Fans Applauding CBS For Removing NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew
Fans Applauding CBS For Removing NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew originally appeared on The Spun. CBS has decided to remove a former Pro Bowl running back from one of its broadcast crews for the upcoming NFL season. Just a week ago, CBS revealed all of its broadcast crews for this fall. Unsurprisingly, Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson will continue to call the top NFL games for the network. They'll cover an NFC North showdown between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers during Week 1. The No. 2 team for CBS will feature Ian Eagle, J.J. Watt and Evan Washburn. There'll be plenty of people eager to see how Watt performs in the booth. Although they won't get to cover the top games, the No. 3 crew of Kevin Harlan, Trent Green and Melanie Collins has become a fan favorite over the past few years. It'll be fun to see what they have in store for fans this September. Where things get interesting is the No. 4 team. CBS has removed former New York Giants star Tiki Barber in favor of Charles Davis. Here are the top crews for CBS: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson Ian Eagle, J.J. Watt and Evan Washburn Kevin Harlan, Trent Green and Melanie Collins Andrew Catalon, Charles Davis, Jason McCourty and AJ Ross Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta and Aditi Kinkhabwala Judging by the reactions on social media, NFL fans are glad Barber is out of the picture at CBS. "Thank God Tiki Barber is gone "Tiki bias towards the Jags shines through anytime he talks or covers anything he does having to do with us," another fan wrote. "Thank you CBS Sports for getting rid of the horrendous Tiki Barber," a third fan said. "That's a shame. Not. Won't miss him at all," a social media user wrote. Despite losing his gig at CBS, Barber will be busy this season. It was recently announced that he'll play a role in the radio broadcasts for the Giants. "I am really excited to be joining the Giants gameday radio broadcast team on WFAN. This organization has meant so much to me, professionally and personally," Barber said. "The Giants have a long history of legendary broadcasters and Wellington Mara always told them to call it like they see it because our fans know better. I look forward to providing analysis and insight that Giants fans appreciate." Do you think CBS made the right move getting rid of Barber? 7-foot-9 Olivier Rioux didn't need a ladder to cut down Florida's nets
7-foot-9 Olivier Rioux didn't need a ladder to cut down Florida's nets Olivier Rioux is 7-foot-9, but because he was a freshman redshirt, he didn't play for the Florida Gators this season. Still, he's a national champion like the rest of his team after the March Madness win over Houston on Monday. And that meant the very, very, VERY tall (just ask Tracy Wolfson) got to cut down the nets with his teammates, as is the tradition. FLORIDA IS A CHAMPION ONCE AGAIN: Celebrate with this commemorative book But when you're 7-foot-9, you don't need a ladder to reach up and cut the nets with a pair of scissors. Check out the video and be in awe like we are of Rioux being tall: Wow.
