Northern Arizona tops Eastern Washington 66-53 in first round of Big Sky Conference Tournament
BOISE, Idaho — Trenton McLaughlin had 17 points to lead Northern Arizona to a 66-53 victory over Eastern Washington on Saturday night in the first round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament. McLaughlin went 7 of 19 from the field (3 for 10 from 3-point range) for the seventh-seeded Lumberjacks (18-14), who will play No. 2 seed Montana in Sunday's quarterfinals. Diego Campisano totaled 16 points and five rebounds. Jayden Jackson added 13 points and three steals.

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Carson Towt totaled 24 points and 12 rebounds to help Northern Arizona defeat Idaho State 82-79 on Monday night in a Big Sky Conference regular-season finale. The Lumberjacks (17-14, 8-10) placed sixth and earned a bye until they play No. 3 seed Portland State in the third round of the conference tournament on March 10 in Boise, Idaho. Idaho State finishes fourth and will play No. 5 seed Montana State in the third round. Trenton McLaughlin finished with 21 points and five assists for Northern Arizona. Jayden Jackson added 17 points. The Bengals (15-14, 10-8) were led by Dylan Darling's career-high 34 points and six assists. Jake O'Neil had 14 points and seven rebounds.
