Black Ops 6 Zombies: Grief Mode returns with explosive additions
Image via Treyarch Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is leveling up once again, and Season 4 is bringing back a fan-favorite mode that players have been requesting for years—Grief mode. But that's just the beginning. From new weapon mods to limited-time modes, there's plenty to be excited about when the update drops on May 29. Let's break down exactly what's coming. Black Ops 6 Zombies Grief Returns With Changes, New Gobblegum, Ammo Mod & So Much More! Season 4 Grief Mode Makes a Comeback Originally introduced in Black Ops 2, Grief mode pits two teams of four players against relentless waves of zombies—and each other. It's not about direct fire between squads. Instead, players battle the undead while trying to sabotage their rivals through clever mechanics like Zone Capture objectives. These create debuffs that make surviving even harder for the opposing team. This competitive PvPvE mode has been absent from the series for over a decade. Now, it's officially returning in Black Ops 6 Season 4, complete with a fresh twist. Welcome to the Arenas Although there aren't any new full-size Zombies maps in this update, Grief mode will introduce 'Arenas'—smaller, specialized sections pulled from existing maps. At launch, players can expect 11 Arenas, including areas from Liberty Falls and Shattered Veil . These condensed battlegrounds keep the action focused and intense, perfectly suited for the high-pressure format of Grief. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! Flavor Hex : Grants a random Legendary GobbleGum. Rainburps: A quirky option that makes zombies pop with rainbow bubbles upon death for a short time. On the ammo side, the new Shatter Blast Mod turns standard rounds into armor-piercing explosives. Pair that with the new Shatter Blast Augment research path, and you've got even more ways to blow through undead hordes. NO DLC 5!? Grief pay to win!? Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 4 Grief Mode Gameplay Trailer Breakdown COD Fresh Limited-Time Modes and Challenges Two standout LTMs will arrive in this update: Starting Room Survival : You're locked in the starting area of a map. How many rounds can you last? Abomination Challenge : Take on a super-powered variant of the terrifying Abomination in an alternate version of Liberty Falls. For the completionists out there, new Dark Ops Challenges offer exclusive Calling Cards and bonus XP for your efforts. Support Weapon Highlight: Grim Reaper The Grim Reaper joins the arsenal as a support weapon. This semi-automatic launcher is designed for heavy impact, perfect for thinning out clusters of zombies or dealing with elite threats. Final Thoughts Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 4 isn't giving us a new map, but it doesn't need to. The return of Grief mode, the introduction of Arenas, new gear, and creative LTMs make this one of the most dynamic updates the mode has seen in years. Whether you're in it for the competition, the chaos, or the rewards, Season 4 is shaping up to be a must-play for any Zombies fan. May 29 can't come soon enough. Call of Duty reveals everything new coming to Warzone Season 4
Image via Treyarch The countdown to Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone is nearly over, and the new content drop is shaping up to be one of the most impactful updates yet. From massive changes to Verdansk's skyline to the return of fan-favorite modes and inventive gameplay tweaks, there's a lot packed into this season. A Towering New Landmark: The Overlook Verdansk has changed again, and it's hard to miss. The Overlook, a gigantic skyscraper, is now the highest point on the map—easily dwarfing anything else in the city. Replacing several older POIs like Burger Town, the SKN Comm tower, and surrounding tenement buildings, The Overlook adds a vertical twist to combat. Expect rooftop battles, crane climbs, and fast-paced movement using ziplines. Inside the building, players can navigate multiple floors filled with both tactical potential and loot. The ground floor also introduces new areas like a sushi bar and a relocated Burger Town, helping freshen up familiar locations. Clash Mode Is Back With a Twist Clash Mode makes its return in Season 4, offering 52v52 team deathmatch chaos across Verdansk. But this isn't just a copy-paste from previous seasons. This time, Clash comes with new features including: Search and Destroy Contracts UAV Towers and SAM Turrets for added intel and anti-air capabilities Door Barricades for defensive plays New power-ups like Speed Boost and Double Down Add in rotating POIs, in-match events, and accessible loadouts from the start, and Clash becomes the ultimate arena for large-scale action. Mid-Season Surprise: Havoc Royale Later in Season 4, players can dive into Havoc Royale—a limited-time mode that introduces dynamic modifiers to gas circles. Each new circle alters gameplay in real-time, forcing squads to adapt their strategy as the match evolves. It's chaotic, unpredictable, and designed specifically for Quads. This mode will keep even seasoned players guessing. Casual-Friendly Resurgence Mode Another big addition is Resurgence Casual , a more accessible version of the popular mode. It features bot opponents, making it easier for new or returning players to get up to speed without the high stakes. Importantly, it doesn't impact your progression, so it's a stress-free way to practice and warm up. WARZONE: Major SEASON 4 UPDATE FULLY REVEALED! New WEAPONS, Full Roadmap, & More! (BO6 Season 4) New Killstreaks, Contracts, and Perks Drops Season 4 also delivers a variety of gameplay enhancements, including: The Care Package Killstreak : Drops a crate full of rare loot mid-match Loot Master Perk : Increases loot quality from caches Return of the Hand Cannon : High-damage, limited-use firepower Expanded Search and Destroy Contracts : Now available in standard Battle Royale, Resurgence, and Plunder These changes are designed to reward exploration, aggressive play, and smart objective focus. Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 goes live on Thursday, May 29, and it's packed with fresh content that promises to shake up the meta. When Is the next double XP event in Call of Duty Black Ops 6?
Image via Activision. As Season 3 in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is about to end in a week or so, Treyarch has recently announced another double XP event for the final push. Season 3 was released on April 2, 2025 with lots of fresh content, for example: maps like Barrage, Nomad, game modes like Joint Operations LTM, the Ladra SMG and many more. However, the mid-season refresh called Season 3 Reloaded wasn't refreshing at all because it failed to quench the thirst of the fans who have been waiting for more in-game treats. Still, it's more than a week until Season 4 gets released, and the recently revealed double XP event will surely help the fans to complete the Season 3 Reloaded Battle Pass. Call of Duty announces last double XP event for Season 3 Reloaded New double XP event in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 dropping soon. | Image via Activision. The final double XP event of Season 3 Reloaded in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will begin on May 23, 2025. The surprising part is that it was just last week when the game dropped a double XP event on May 15. It seems fans were hugely disappointed with the mid-season update that they didn't care for the Season 3 Reloaded Battle Pass anymore. However, Treyarch might want fans to complete the Battle Pass at least, as most of them are eagerly waiting for Season 4 to drop on May 29, 2025. This recently announced double XP event can be accessed from the in-game event tab when it gets released and will be available until May 26. Players need to keep in mind that this event is specifically based on double player & weapon XP. However, those who want a double Battle Pass XP, have to wait for this weekend. The upcoming event will be beneficial for the players who are looking to upgrade their weapons. Despite this upcoming event, all the eyes will be on Season 4 for sure . This season is rumored to bring back a lot of forgotten aspects of the game, like Olympia Shotgun, or the Grim Reaper multishot rocket launcher scorestreak. However, there has been no details revealed by Treyarch yet, but an explanatory blog is believed to be dropped tomorrow. Read More: When will Season 4 begin in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone? Can you wall run in Call of Duty Black Ops 6? Every possibility explored
Image via Activision. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was slated to open a new chapter in the franchise's history. To begin with, developers introduced a new kind of movement mechanics called Omni-movement. With this franchise first feature, players can slide in any direction they want, even backwards. This new movement mechanics literally changed the way CoD was played before. The game became all about fast and pacey maneuvers all over the maps, instead of swift aims. Now it seems Activision might be bringing back another movement mechanism from the past. Is wall running already there in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Click Here - This Might Save You From Losing Money Expertinspector Click Here Undo Wall run was featured in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. | Image via Activision. Before Omni-movement, there was a maneuver technique called wall running which blew everyone's mind. As the name suggests, players could easily run while being tilted on the wall, but just for a small period of time. This feature was more prevalent in the titles like Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare. However, wall running wasn't initially available in Black Ops 6 and Treyarch never intended to introduce this feature in the game as well. However, despite its absence, players in Black Ops 6 are still wall running and the videos of it are all over the internet. Many fans thought that these clips are from any other CoD title which officially featured wall running but that's not the case. These clips are really from Black Ops 6. So, players are wondering, if there is no official inclusion of this movement technique in the game, then how can people still run on the wall? A prominent CoD leaker 'CALL OF DUTY WARFARE', Treyarch actually added this feature in the Season 3 Reloaded update files in Black Ops 6 but never made it official. This feature now might have risen from those files as a glitch and players are exploiting that. But it's hard to understand that if this feature was added in the game, then why isn't it made official? Actually wall running was previously rumored to be featured in Call of Duty 2025 which is slated to be a sequel of Black Ops 6. So, the developers might have added this game to test it out in the newer gen Call of Duty titles and also how well it is pairing up with the Omni-movement. There is another title rumored to be released before CoD 2026, which is Modern Warfare 4. But that title might not have wall running as it is also rumored to be scraping away Omni-movement . Now, let's answer the question? Can you actually wall run in Black Ops 6? It's actually a glitch, so whenever you encounter that, you can wall run. But it's not going to be executed at every mode of the game. It is said to be usable only in the private lobbies. However, nothing has been official so far. The Season 4 update is knocking on the door, and we might get more official details on wall running with that update.
