Popular breakfast fast-food chain adds new items and deals

May is finally here, which means that summer is right around the corner and vacation destinations are open for the season. What's even more exciting is that this is also when restaurant and fast-food chains begin to drop their highly anticipated limited-time summer menus for the year. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter Menus nationwide will be filled with various iced beverages, tropical sweet treats, and multiple deals, since these chains know most people will be out and about for the next few months. This is good for consumers, since it gives them more value for their money, but challenging for businesses because they have to compete with sometimes unsustainably low price comparisons. Image source: Corbis/Getty Images As breakfast lovers awoke this morning, Dunkin' quickly hit them with the first email of the month, revealing its 2025 summer menu. Dunkin' is already known for being among the most affordable coffee chains because, unlike its rivals, it has chosen not to offer $8 lattes. Instead, it keeps its products within a decent price range, and this time, the deals are better and more plentiful than ever. The breakfast fast-food chain will keep the $6 Meal Deal momentum going but is giving it a fresh twist by changing its offerings. Customers still get a medium hot or iced coffee and hash browns with this deal, but it now comes with a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich. Dunkin' did a two-in-one this season by releasing a new Tropical Guava Dunkin' Refresher that costs only $3. This new drink allows customers to combine iced green tea, lemonade, or sparkling water with passion fruit, orange, and guava flavors. The company has also released the new Ham & Swiss Pretzel Sliders in partnership with King's Hawaiian and revamped its beloved Iced Lemon Loaf with a strawberry twist. Due to popular demand, Dunkin' has returned its fan favorite Chicken & Bacon Croissant Stuffer and the Sweet Black Pepper Bacon. Although Dunkin's $6 Meal Deal may seem like a total bargain, it faces stiff competition from its breakfast-restaurant rivals. IHOP (DIN) relaunched the $6 House Faves menu nationwide, featuring four of the chain's most popular breakfast combos, including the Breakfast Faves Combo, House Scramble, Ham & Cheese Omelette, and French Toast Breakfast. The dishes cost around $6 to $7 each, depending on the location, and are available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., as stated on its website. However, it added more dishes this time, including dinner items. For breakfast, Denny's now offers the Everyday Value Slam, Loaded Breakfast Sandwich, Super Slam, and three add-ons, including the Stack of Original Pancakes, Choconana Pancakes, and French Toast. For dinner, customers can order the Mama's Fried Chicken Salad, Chicken Tenders & Fries, Classic Burger with Fries, Grilled Cheese with a bowl of soup or side salad, and a New York Style Cheesecake add-on. Dunkin debuts bold new summer menu items… and fans have mixed reactions

Not everyone is running on Dunkin' following the announcement of new menu items. Dunkin' will be offering three new items for fans to cure their 'seasonal cravings' starting tomorrow. The chain's newest offerings are the Tropical Guava Dunkin' Refresher, Pistachio Signature Latte, and Iced Strawberry Lemon Loaf. Food blogger Markie Devo previously announced the beverages' upcoming arrival in an Instagram post earlier this month, along with three other upcoming items: Orange N' Vanilla Classic Donut, Pride Donut, and Summer Munchkin Bucket. Although fans have not stopped raving about the pistachio beverage, Instagrammers insisted they would 'skip out' on purchasing the Pride Donut and slammed the chain for not introducing new coffee flavors. 'Now I can't even eat my favorite rainbow sprinkle donut bc they have to name that s*** "pride" seriously,' a customer wrote. 'This is so lame honestly. No new exciting coffee flavors,' another person commented. Dunkin' will be launching a few of the new items and begin one of its Rewards deals tomorrow Several social media users admitted they were excited to try the new beverages coming to Dunkin'. Commenters talked about the pistachio latte the most, which is a combination of espresso and a pistachio-flavored swirl topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and waffle cone pieces that reminds them of the chain's Pistachio Coffee. This nutty-flavored beverage is also the only new offering that comes hot or iced. Starting tomorrow, medium-sized cups of the new Tropical Guyava Dunkin' Refresher will be available for $3 all day, every day. The tropical drink includes B vitamins, and is available with green tea, lemonade, or sparkling water. Fans looking for food instead of a beverage can try the Iced Strawberry Lemon Loaf, which is a lemon load with a strawberry cake swirl topped with strawberry-flavored icing. Besides new products, Dunkin' gave its fans a new commerical celebrating its $6 Meal Deal starring actors James Marsden, Charles Melton, Tramell Tillman, Gavin Casalegno, influencer Dylan Efron, and comedian Zarna Garg. Customers who take advantage of the $6 Meal Deal will receive a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with hash browns and a medium hot or iced coffee. Dunkin' Rewards members can celebrate the month of May with all new exclusive offers. The chain is starting off with a $2 10-count of Munchkins available tomorrow until May 15. Members can also earn extra points when ordering a half dozen or a dozen donuts and 25 or 50-count munchkins from May 10 to 11 to celebrate Mother's Day. Dunkin' will move on from munchkins and donuts and offer its Rewards members $3 Pretzel Sliders with a purchase of any beverage anytime between May 16 and May 31. Besides these offers, members can score 100 bonus points every Monday in May when placing an order ahead of time on the Dunkin' app. The new deals also come after Dunkin' confirmed it would stop charging customers additional money for dairy alternatives.
