Dunkin debuts bold new summer menu items… and fans have mixed reactions

Daily Mail02-05-2025
Not everyone is running on Dunkin' following the announcement of new menu items.
Dunkin' will be offering three new items for fans to cure their 'seasonal cravings' starting tomorrow.
The chain's newest offerings are the Tropical Guava Dunkin' Refresher, Pistachio Signature Latte, and Iced Strawberry Lemon Loaf.
Food blogger Markie Devo previously announced the beverages' upcoming arrival in an Instagram post earlier this month, along with three other upcoming items: Orange N' Vanilla Classic Donut, Pride Donut, and Summer Munchkin Bucket.
Although fans have not stopped raving about the pistachio beverage, Instagrammers insisted they would 'skip out' on purchasing the Pride Donut and slammed the chain for not introducing new coffee flavors.
'Now I can't even eat my favorite rainbow sprinkle donut bc they have to name that s*** "pride" seriously,' a customer wrote.
'This is so lame honestly. No new exciting coffee flavors,' another person commented.
Dunkin' will be launching a few of the new items and begin one of its Rewards deals tomorrow
Several social media users admitted they were excited to try the new beverages coming to Dunkin'.
Commenters talked about the pistachio latte the most, which is a combination of espresso and a pistachio-flavored swirl topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and waffle cone pieces that reminds them of the chain's Pistachio Coffee.
This nutty-flavored beverage is also the only new offering that comes hot or iced.
Starting tomorrow, medium-sized cups of the new Tropical Guyava Dunkin' Refresher will be available for $3 all day, every day.
The tropical drink includes B vitamins, and is available with green tea, lemonade, or sparkling water.
Fans looking for food instead of a beverage can try the Iced Strawberry Lemon Loaf, which is a lemon load with a strawberry cake swirl topped with strawberry-flavored icing.
Besides new products, Dunkin' gave its fans a new commerical celebrating its $6 Meal Deal starring actors James Marsden, Charles Melton, Tramell Tillman, Gavin Casalegno, influencer Dylan Efron, and comedian Zarna Garg.
Customers who take advantage of the $6 Meal Deal will receive a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with hash browns and a medium hot or iced coffee.
Dunkin' Rewards members can celebrate the month of May with all new exclusive offers.
The chain is starting off with a $2 10-count of Munchkins available tomorrow until May 15.
Members can also earn extra points when ordering a half dozen or a dozen donuts and 25 or 50-count munchkins from May 10 to 11 to celebrate Mother's Day.
Dunkin' will move on from munchkins and donuts and offer its Rewards members $3 Pretzel Sliders with a purchase of any beverage anytime between May 16 and May 31.
Besides these offers, members can score 100 bonus points every Monday in May when placing an order ahead of time on the Dunkin' app.
The new deals also come after Dunkin' confirmed it would stop charging customers additional money for dairy alternatives.

‘A random woman slid into my DMs - turns out she was my mum'

Candace Bryan planned on doing her debut Edinburgh Fringe hour about her dad, who raised her as a single parent. But last year, the US comedian was doomscrolling, and her estranged mother has slid into her DMs. Now, she's got a lot to unpack. 'I had mostly written her off,' Candace tells Metro in a chat ahead of her Fringe run, where she will discuss this mysterious enigma that is her mother every night in her show MILF (Mom I'd Like to Find). Candace's mother and father divorced when she was a baby. She had not seen or heard from her since, save one time she remembers as a child. 'It was kind of a blur, but I sort of remember not liking her very much and I remember her smoking a lot of cigarettes,' Candace says. But while Candace spent much of her life thinking her mother didn't have custody of her and so was unable to opt into her life, the opposite was true. A few years ago, Candace asked her dad about her mum. It was only then that she found out about the custody. (Candace is from Memphis, where she says families don't talk as openly as in other US states, so a lot of her knowledge was based on assumption). 'I remember being really affected by that, because I had been telling myself this story for so many years that she wasn't really expected to show up for me in a way. But it turns out she was, and she just chose not to.' So you can imagine Candace's distress when her mother randomly followed her on Instagram. Her name isn't a common one, so when Candace saw it flash up on her social media she dared to think: 'Is that my mother?' 'I started looking at her profile and I was like, this person kind of looks like me but in their 50s, which is the age that she would be,' Candace explains. Then she slid into Candace's DMs basically saying, 'Hey, I'm your biological mum!' 'When I thought about my first contact with my biological mum, I can not begin to tell you how it never occurred to me that that would be on Instagram,' Candace says. 'She sent this really nice message,' Candace explains – though what happened next flawed her. Her mum was just joining social media for the first time in a few years and said how amazing Candace's life looked, that she's proud of her, and that she would love to be in touch. 'I didn't really know how to react, so I spent a couple of days kind of talking to my dad and talking to my friends and figuring out what I wanted to do and if I wanted to reply, because it was a bit flippant,' Candace says. 'It seemed strange and so out of the blue, and I couldn't help but have the thought of why now? It's kind of scary. Like, why all of a sudden is she reaching out, is something wrong?' But when Candace decided to reply, she went into the conversation, and her mother had deleted the message and unfollowed her on Instagram. 'I hadn't really had an emotional reaction tothe original message, because I'm kind of a reserved person, and I'm very cautious emotionally. 'But when I saw that had happened, it really triggered such an emotional reaction in me. It was very hurtful,' she admits. Candace also felt angry, as it seemed like her mother was punishing her for not being more decisive about replying sooner. 'It seemed like there's a lack of empathy, if she can't see how this is coming across from my perspective. It was very triggering.' It was funny timing. Candace had been thinking a lot about how the absence of her mother had shaped her over the past year before the Instagram message. She's never been a girly-girl, for instance. Candace is also in her 30s and child-free by choice. While there are many other factors in Candace's decision – a love for her comedy work, financial reasons, and kids just being a lot of work – a lack of a mother figure definitely contributed. 'I think not having experienced being mothered, there's just not a drive in me to want to be a mother,' she says. So it changed her life path. It's also given her 'textbook' abandonment issues. 'It's definitely affected my relationships. I have anxieties around feeling the need to be perfect and having to earn people's love, or else they'll leave,' she explains. Growing up, Candace never felt a lack of love or attention. She was raised by a loving father – her best friend. He did an incredible job, even as a 20-something single dad. He grew up with an absent father himself, so knows Candace's experience well. 'I didn't sit around as a child and think, 'Why did I have a mum?' Because I sort of felt like my dad was my mum and my dad,' she says. It's strange that Candace's story seems so foreign. We never usually think of a single parent being a man, and if they are, it's assumed they are a devoted and selfless widow, not that a woman 'peaced out' of motherhood like Candace's did. 'I think it says a lot about the expectations that we put on women,' Candace says, having been surprised to meet other people with absent mothers (they do exist). 'Like, 'a woman can't leave her child because women are supposed to be these goddess mother figures who would never have the reason to leave that a man would.' That's not always the case.' After the Instagram message, Candace and her father talked much more about her mum. 'I called my dad crying, and we ended up having a really big conversation about it,' she recalls. Candace's mother was the eldest of several children, many of whom she was made responsible for. Then she had Candace, aged 18. 'I can empathise with that being a really tough situation,' Candace says. 'Not to get dark, but the culture of abortion in America, and thinking about getting pregnant at 17… The pressures that you must be under, and having to make such a big life decision. 'I can't imagine being in that position, just because I was raised with so much more support, that if I had ended up in that position, I would have had different choices available to me.' Candace doesn't resent her mother for what she did. 'If I or my friends were in that position all you can really do is feel sorry for someone,' she says. A few months later, Candace's mother tried to contact her again – this time through her relative. Now her details are with Candace, who is contemplating her next move. 'At that point I was of the mindset of thinking this is not necessarily someone who, at least anytime soon, I'm ready to bring into my life,' Candace says. 'There's a lack of care and empathy and stability with how they're approaching it, that is kind of off putting to me.' But curiosity will likely take over when Candace is ready. 'I know so much who I am is affected by the way that I was raised, but I'm sure there are parts of me that are similar to this person, and how could I not want to see that?' Candace explains. More Trending Mostly though, Candace feels empathy. She would like her mother to know that. 'There's part of me too that really wants to get in contact at least in a small way to say: 'By the way, I don't hate you, and I'm not mad at you. Any guilt that you feel is understandable. ''But I don't want you to think that I'm over here resenting you over the decisions you've made, when I'm actually very much able to understand them.'' Jessie J burst into tears over breast cancer scars in heartbreaking moment with mum

Singing sensation Jessie J has been open with her fans about having to undergo surgery after saying that doctors caught the disease "early" Jessie J has said that she "sobbed" over her breast cancer surgery scars during her recent health battle. The 37-year-old has been open about having to undergo urgent surgery, but admitted she was lucky that the cancer had been caught by doctors "early". ‌ The Price Tag singer had her first operation back in June and has been recovering since. She has since told her fans that she broke down in tears when she looked at the scars for the first time after her surgery. ‌ Jessie said that due to it being caught early, she did not need to have radiotherapy or chemotherapy in her treatment plan. However, she has had to have a full mastectomy rather than a lumpectomy because of the size of the lump she found. ‌ The mum-of-one has now opened up in an interview with The Sunday Times' Culture Magazine where she explained how she now feels when she sees the scars. She said: "The other night. Mum was massaging my boob for me, because I can't touch the scars. And I started sobbing, 'I can't believe this has happened.' She was like, 'I wish it was me,' and then I'm crying, she's crying… I'm so glad it's not her." ‌ She went on to say that she will need more surgery in the future but is still determined to return to the music world, with her new song Believe In Magic due to be released on August 29. Jessie added: "People think, once you've got the all-clear, now it's done. But I've got another surgery [to improve the symmetry of her implant with her other breast] and I need to heal, so I have to figure out the rest of this year." ‌ She took to her Instagram page this week to tell her followers that she would need to have more surgery as part of her treatment. She wrote: "I can rest, parent AND release new music. "I didn't leave a major label after 18 years to be scared to re write the rules to fit around my life / health and just make it realistic on what I can deliver in all roles in my life. Another surgery needed this year. I can do it." Jessie then went on to mention her son as she added: "Raising a toddler. I can do it. Releasing new music. I can do it. It will look different to what I had planned but that's life, things change and either we panic and get mad that it isn't what is was going to be, or we ADAPT. "I'm just flowing with life and giving the best I can. Instead of stopping and disappearing and waiting for the timing to be perfect to release music again. It's never the perfect time. Because grown up life is layered and has highs and lows and we just have to keep living in all of it. So here I am. LIVING. "And I just want you to have the music. Deal?" Jessie has previously confirmed she is not cancer free yet which is why she needs to have another operation to further treat the disease.

Vicky Pattison hit by major blow amid Strictly Come Dancing rumours

Vicky Pattison hit by major blow amid Strictly Come Dancing rumours Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison is reportedly one of the first celebrities to have signed up for the 23rd series of Strictly, but has been warned to put her health first Vicky Pattison has reportedly signed up for Strictly (Image: Mike Marsland, Mike Marsland/WireImagevia Getty Images) Vicky Pattison's hopes of lifting the Strictly Glitterball trophy may already be in jeopardy, following a serious health setback for the former Geordie Shore start. Sources suggest the beloved TV personality remains committed to reaching the dance floor, though she must prioritise her physical health over her professional aspirations. ‌ The 37-year-old, who won I'm A Celebrity a decade ago, revealed that she was left practically bed bound last week after developing a trapped nerve in her back whilst undertaking a charity expedition in Iceland. ‌ Taking to social media with the news, Vicky explained her susceptibility to this agonising condition, especially during the colder seasons – confessing she could "barely move". ‌ With her name reportedly at the forefront of this year's anticipated Strictly sign-ups, insiders suggest the timing couldn't be more unfortunate, reports the Mirror. "She was desperately worried that this wasn't only not going to go away but that it could get worse," they told the Mirror. They add: "Vicky isn't a complainer, so when she says something feels bad, she means it. But she's also a really tough person and has already shown that she can cope with pretty much anything – one thing she's not, is a quitter. She needs to make sure she looks after herself though, that will be the most important thing." ‌ They continue: "Strictly has been the number one show on her wish list for years, especially after she went to watch her bestie Pete [Wicks] on it last year. This would be her time to shine and she knows that second chances don't come around often." Vicky's trapped nerve developed following her challenging trek in Iceland with the breast cancer charity CoppaFeel! The condition occurs when excessive pressure is placed on a nerve by surrounding bone or muscle, with symptoms including numbness, aching or burning pain and muscle weakness. ‌ Vicky appeared in the crowd during last year's series to support her friend Pete Wicks (Image: PA) Speaking to her 5.5m Instagram followers, Vicky revealed she was unfortunately well-acquainted with the excruciating pain, sharing, "It happens mostly in the winter when I'm cold and all hunched over and tight. "It obviously happened in the trek last week. And I'm just feeling it now because my body has relaxed for the first time in a week. But I can barely bloody move." ‌ The timing proves particularly unfortunate for Vicky, the source continues, as it follows shortly after she was unofficially revealed as amongst the first celebrities prepared to commit to the 23rd Strictly series, which begins filming later this summer. The beloved dance competition has encountered its own controversies recently, including allegations of behind-the-scenes bullying and the exits of Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima from the professional roster. Last week, it was revealed that the show's executives were considering offering rehabilitation services to two of its stars following allegations of backstage cocaine use. The Sun newspaper reported that producers are contemplating implementing random drug tests for next year's Strictly Live tour. ‌ In response to these claims, a BBC spokesperson stated, "We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further." Vicky, who hosts a Saturday afternoon programme on Heart radio, is an avid fan of Strictly and was even spotted in the audience last year, enthusiastically cheering on her close friend Pete Wicks. Despite previously confessing that she'd rather "stand in the corner, drink and have a laugh" than hit the dance floor, our insider suggests it's time for Vicky to step into the Strictly limelight – provided she can regain her peak health. ‌ "She was in terrible pain with this trapped nerve, and really doesn't want it to mean the end of something she's dreamed about doing. She's watched Strictly for years but she had never felt as confident in herself as she does today – so the timing was worrying. "Dealing with health issues unfortunately isn't new to her, either, but it means she does know how to listen to her body and take care of herself." Vicky, who tied the knot with her long-term partner Ercan Ramadan last year, has previously opened up about her prolonged struggle to receive a diagnosis for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), a condition that triggers insomnia, anxiety, depressive thoughts, and physical discomfort. Article continues below "She's literally feeling all the emotions right now – Strictly isn't a walk in the park," an insider claims. "It's gruelling on the body and the mind, so she needs both to be in excellent condition. But she's a tough cookie so friends and family are convinced she'll do well. She's one determined lady – if anyone can do this, Vicky can."
