Love Island USA Season 7 cast Instagram handles: Meet the new singles, where and when to watch
The Love Island Season 7 cast has officially landed in Fiji, ready to chase summer flings and maybe even fall in love. Peacock's popular dating show, already a global obsession, dropped the cast list on May 29, just days ahead of its June 3 premiere (which got pushed back slightly because of a last-minute tech glitch). This year, the Islanders aren't just the usual crop of Insta influencers; they range from a cowboy and a barista to entrepreneurs and professional models. The New Rules for Getting Acquired
If 2025 has proved anything, it's that there's always an M&A market for fashion and beauty companies that offer investors the right value. After an active start to the year that saw brands from True Religion to Huda Beauty's luxury fragrance line Kayali find homes with new owners, the unveiling of US president Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs in April and the economic uncertainty they unleashed threatened to cut the momentum short. Instead, the subsequent weeks saw a flurry of blockbuster transactions, including E.l.f.'s $1 billion acquisition of Hailey Bieber's beauty brand Rhode; Prada's $1.4 billion acquisition of Versace; Skechers' $9.4 billion buyout by private-equity firm 3G; and Dick's Sporting Goods' purchase of Foot Locker for $2.4 billion. While the examples are mostly legacy names, they underscore the point that deals can happen in any climate — when the right brand connects with the right buyer. Making that connection doesn't always come easily though, particularly in today's market. What's changed over the past several years is acquirers have become more discerning than ever. They're seeking strong, emotionally resonant brands with a healthy bottom line or a clear path to profitability — and often healthy unit economics, meaning profit on each item sold — rather than prioritising rapid growth at all costs. 'It's not all assets finding homes,' said Brandon Yoshimura, a director at investment bank Solomon Partners, where he focuses on M&A and fundraising for next-generation brands. 'Really excellent assets are finding buyers.' Tariffs and economic shocks will only make investors more skittish about funnelling money into the apparel sector, according to Scott Geftman, former president at preppy apparel label Rowing Blazers, which was acquired by private equity firm Burch Creative Capital in February 2024. But brands that show they can weather the turmoil will emerge more attractive. What every business looking for a deal today needs to prove is that it can offer long-term value, with a compelling mix of financial stability and brand equity. In this case study, The Business of Fashion breaks down how start-ups like Hero Cosmetics (sold to consumer goods company Church & Dwight for $630 million in 2022), Rowing Blazers (sold to private-equity firm Burch Creative Capital for an undisclosed sum in 2024) and Summer Fridays (which sold a significant stake to private-equity firm TSG Consumer Partners in 2024) brokered their deals over the last three years. It explores how they made themselves appealing to potential buyers, forged early relationships with investors and ultimately found acquirers that would maintain their brand integrity while taking their businesses to the next level.

Ace Greene, Austin Shepard and Jeremiah Brown: Meet the male contestants of Love Island USA season 7
The season for rolling back in bed and watching attractive people find love through television screens is back as the popular Peacock show Love Island prepares for a steamy season 7. The show has revealed the 10 islanders for this season, and fans are already up in arms trying to figure out what drama these steamy individuals will bring to Fiji this time around. A post shared by Peacock (@peacock) The cast will reportedly expand and revolve throughout the run of the season. Here's all we know about three of the male members set to connect (or break) hearts this season: At 22 years old, Ace Greene is set to become the youngest islander this season. As a native Los Angeles boy, Greene has lived in California all his life. He has made a name for himself as a content creator with moves by frequently sharing posts on Tiktok demonstrating his superior dancing skills. He recently hit a milestone of one million followers on the platform. Growing up with Hollywood all around him, dance probably came quite naturally to Greene and has now materialized into a lifelong passion. Using this skill, Greene frequently invites creators to collaborate and create challenges with him besides giving tutorials to his fan base. Fans of the show are likely already familiar with Greene given his frequent interactions on Instagram Live and regular posts from his daily life. He also appeared in an interview at The Jennifer Hudson Show earlier this year. A post shared by Ace (@realacegreene) Though his grid leave much up to imagination, Austin Shepard's sharp looks and mysterious aura have already led fans to be curious about him. The 26-year-old Floridian was originally born in native Northville, Michigan, and recently made the switch to sunny settings. He did a couple of small jobs to get through the early years but found his calling in creating social media content and cleaning pools. Shepard appears to have been a party-obsessed guy in his earlier years but hopefully now expects to find love on the show (or not, you never know). Although his grid is relatively empty, Shepard's TikTok and Instagram stories have always been quite filled with content from his daily life. A post shared by Austin Shepard (@austin_shepard3) Self-described as a 'communication nerd' and an 'emotional type of guy who isn't afraid to cry in front of his girl', Jeremiah Brown has quite an active social media profile. The model appears to enjoy basketball and shares frequent posts from his modeling gigs with brands such as Jaxxon and True Religion. He ranks himself as a three to four on the good guy to f**k boy scale, signaling loads of swoon-worthy and tear-jerking moments from his time on the show. A post shared by Jeremiah Brown (@findjeremiah) Love Island USA will premiere on Tuesday, June 3 at 9:00 PM ET. New episodes will be released daily, except Wednesdays.

Latto Says She's ‘Big Daddy' While Rocking Carmelo Anthony's Syracuse Jersey
Latto headlined Syracuse University's Block Party 2025 over the weekend, and she got around to posting some pictures from her time on the central New York campus on Tuesday (April 29). While she'll always be Big Mama, Latto went by Big Daddy in Syracuse as she rocked a throwback 'fit that went diamond in the streets of New York in the early 2000s. Latto donned a Syracuse Carmelo Anthony jersey with baggy True Religion jean shorts and a pair of Timberland boots. Anthony led Syracuse's basketball team to a national championship in 2003. 'Why you in the men's washroom witcho John cena shorts babygirl,' one person wrote on X. Per The Daily Orange, Latto delivered an energetic set that included over 15 songs, ranging from 'Georgia Peach' to 'Blick Sum' and 'Sunday Service.' She reportedly even changed the lyrics for 'Brokey' to fit 'when I leave Syracuse.' Latto came bearing gifts as she blessed one lucky student with $1,000, and a Cornell University freshman named Kumba Cavazzini Diop got their hands on a pair of new Givenchy boots. 'One day, I was just a little girl screaming Latto songs in my living room every day,' Cavazzini Diop said. 'She noticed me today.' On the music side, Latto has laid low for much of 2025 outside of recruiting Playboi Carti to hop on an official remix of 'Blick Sum' in January. Find Latto's photos below. Former Printemps, Zimmermann Investor Borletti Group Buys Stake in True Religion
MILAN — Reflecting True Religion's momentum, the denim, sportswear and accessories brand distinguished by its 'Super T' stitch, has secured a minority investment from Borletti Group, which is set to help contribute to its growth. Washington, D.C.-based private equity Acon Investments and SB360 Capital Partners, a Schottenstein affiliate, took a majority stake in True Religion last January and they remain majority shareholders. More from WWD EXCLUSIVE: Printemps on Wall Street Makes Change in Command EXCLUSIVE: Aureum Collective and Parke Join Forces for 'Timeless' Capsule Collection Saint James to Open Pop-up at Printemps in New York Financial details were not disclosed. 'We are thrilled to support True Religion at such an exciting stage of its growth journey. Our decision to invest was driven by the brand's outstanding performance, particularly over the past four years, and by its clear growth trajectory and high profitability,' said Maurizio Borletti, cofounder and partner of Borletti Group. 'We look forward to actively contributing to True Religion's development, bringing our expertise in the retail and fashion sectors, our international network and a strategic vision focused on digital expansion and omnichannel growth.' Borletti Group was also founded by Paolo De Spirt, and has more than two decades of experience investing in premium and lifestyle brands ranging from Printemps and Rinascente to MooRER and Zimmermann. Acon led the transaction with the support of Borletti Group and its co-investors (including Azimut through the AZ RAIF II-Private Equity Borletti Investment fund and the founders of Moose Knuckles), and with the Schottenstein Group, which has a network of apparel and retail businesses that includes American Eagle Outfitters. Founded in 2002, True Religion is headquartered in Los Angeles and is led chief executive officer Michael Buckley. As reported, the brand, positioned in the accessible range, is aiming to reach $1 billion in annual sales in three to five years. The business is expected to reach $450 million in volume in 2025, driven by focused marketing and merchandising centered on hip-hop and rap performers and sports figures; showy logos; moderate prices; promotions, and edgier styles, such as Super T miniskirts and short shorts; slouchy, baggy men's jeans, and often formfitting midriff-baring women's outfits. Its e-commerce business is up 35 percent year-to-date, Buckley told WWD in March. Last year True Religion launched its holiday campaign with Megan Thee Stallion and Hunxho. Saweetie has also fronted images for the brand. In February, the label tapped Brazilian pop star Anitta to kick off its new marketing platform, called 'Own Your True.' In 2002, True Religion emerged onto the Los Angeles denim scene by blowing up the construction of the classic five-pocket jean. With its five-needle thread at a two-stitch-per-inch process, the True Religion Super T stitch has been recognized for its unique look. Borletti is the former Rinascente president and De Spirt is a former Emanuel Ungaro CEO. They formed Borletti Group in 2005 and in 2016 it was part of a consortium that completed the acquisition of Grandi Stazioni Retail from Italian state railway company Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and private investment vehicle Eurostazioni, providing exclusive rights to the commercial leasing and advertising spaces of some of the main railway stations in Italy. Borletti Group was among the investors that acquired Italian department store chain La Rinascente in 2005 and French department store chain Printemps in 2006. De Spirt was a member of the Printemps board from 2006 until 2013. La Rinascente was sold to Thai group Central Retail Corp. in 2011, and Printemps in 2013 to Divine Investments SA, a Luxembourg-based investment fund backed by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former emir of Qatar.
