Officers allege the 19-year-old was seen riding an illegal e-bike down Elizabeth Street in the CBD before police flagged him down. He then attempted to flee on the bike before being arrested, police said. Bodycam footage shared by Queensland Police shows the man trying to ride away. He was stopped and detained by an officer on foot shortly afterwards. A search of his belongings then allegedly uncovered a used pipe. The man was charged with seven offences including one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle, assault of a police officer, driving an uninsured vehicle and possessing dangerous drugs.
