No skeletal remains found during continued excavation at site No. 13 in Dharmasthala

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) did not find any skeletal remains on Wednesday as it continued excavation at site no. 13 as part of the probe into alleged burials in Dharmasthala village, sources said. After scanning the large plain area at site no. 13 using drone-mounted Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), the SIT began excavating the site using two earth movers on Tuesday and did not find any skeletal remains. It did not find any remains during the excavation on Wednesday either. The excavation was done in the presence of complainant and Puttur Sub Division AC Stella Varghese. Meanwhile, Purandara Gowda, uncle of 2013 murder victim Soujanya, and Tukaram, a resident of the village, visited the SIT office in Belthangady on Wednesday. Talking to reporters, Mr. Gowda and Mr. Tukaram said they informed SIT on August 6 that they had seen a person, similar to the complainant, and a few others burying bodies at Banglagudde in the period between 2003 and 2014. 'The SIT Chief (Pronab Mohanty) asked me to file a complaint with the Dharmasthala police station. I met the SI at the Pangala cross and left the place. Later, I heard about the attack on YouTubers. On August 8, we filed the complaint at the Dharmasthala police station. This is when I got to know I was named accused no. 1 in the sou-motu case registered by the police over a clash between groups, following an attack on YouTubers,' Mr. Gowda told reporters. Mr. Gowda said that both visited the office on Wednesday to enquire about the action taken on the complaint filed by them in Dharmasthala police station. Meanwhile, the Dharmasthala police are investigating a petition given by Sujatha Bhat on July 15 requesting a probe into whether her daughter and medical student Ananya Bhat's body was among those buried by the complainant. However, they have found no education records to prove that Ananya Bhat studied in medical colleges either in Mangaluru or Manipal. Police said they are trying to reach out to Sujatha Bhat to gather more information about the petitioner and her daughter.

He can't find the right idol, yet he wants to build a temple of Lord Vithoba. When he miraculously awakens from his dream one night, he finds an idol in his kitchen garden. Tukaram is the son of moneylender Bolhoba, who comes from the same family as the renowned Vitthal followers. Despite working in the moneylending and account management industry, Bolhoba was still an appointed member of a disenfranchised community. Young Tukaram was determined to combat the discrimination that pervaded society because he was not immune to its dogmas and prejudices. Due to his older brother's contemplative personality and lack of interest in everyday life, Tukaram got married young and took control of the family business. Due to the frequent illness of his first wife, Tukaram remarried. His second wife, Avali (Sheena Chohan), was a shrewd and pragmatic individual. Early in life, Tukaram suffered tragedy when he lost his parents, first wife, and son to illness and starvation. After being shaken by these tragedies, he became very devoted and spiritual. The true core of the narrative is the climax. Therefore, one must watch it to find out what occurs at the end. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The film's main driving forces are actors Sanjay Mishra, Subodh Bhave, Sheena Chohan, Twinkle Kapoor, and Arun Govil. Each of them has performed their roles well. Shiva Suryavanshi, Hemant Pandey, Lalit Tiwari, Rupali Jadhav, Mukesh Bhatt, Gauri Shankar, and Shishir Sharma have also left their mark. All artists have, in general, done their best. This film demonstrates the charisma of Aditya Om's direction. He has made an effort to highlight every potential incidence from that time period. In addition to the director, the cinematography is excellent and does a fantastic job of capturing the natural settings. The dialogue, narrative, and script are all quite enticing and, for the most part, validate that time period. Overall, this is one of the finest period/historical movies of the year that beautifully showcases the life and journey of the great Sant Tukaram ji Maharaj. So, why wait? ED searches premises linked to Ballari Congress MP Tukaram, three MLAs in connection with Valmiki corporation ‘scam'

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday searched the premises linked to Ballari Congress MP, E. Tukaram, and three MLAs in connection with alleged diversion of funds from the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation in 2024. The premises linked to Mr. Tukaram and Nara Bharath Reddy, the MLA for Ballari, and J.N. Ganesh, MLA for Kampli, were searched by separate ED teams. Mr. Tukaram and his wife E. Annapurna, MLA for Sandur, were questioned by the ED officials for a few hours. They also searched the residence of Govardhan Reddy, a close aide of Ballari Rural MLA and former Minister B. Nagendra. The ED also arrived at the residence of MLA, N.T. Srinivas, at Narasimhagiri in Kudligi taluk. However, only the MLA's mother was present at the time, and he was away. The raids are linked to the alleged diversion of funds from the Valmiki corporation, of which ₹20.19 crore is suspected to have been used during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Ballari. Filing a charge sheet in the case, with Mr. Nagendra as accused 1, in October, 2024, the ED had claimed ₹89.62 crore was diverted from the corporation into various accounts. The charge sheet also claimed that of this, ₹20.19 crore was used to support the party candidate in the2024 Lok Sabha elections from Ballari constituency. A substantial part of this money was used to procure alcohol to be distributed during the elections, ED sources said. The ED had reportedly recovered a note from the mobile phone of Mr. Nagendra's aide Vijay Kumar Gowda allegedly detailing the expenses and distribution of money for Lok Sabha elections, 2024, in Ballari constituency. The ED claimed that Mr. Gowda handled cash for Mr. Nagendra. The three MLAs raided on Wednesday, also figured in the note, the sources claimed. 'Targeting Opposition' Responding to the ED raids, Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, accused the Union government of misusing investigative agencies to target the Opposition. 'They allege that misappropriated funds were used during the Lok Sabha elections, yet these raids are taking place a year later. Thousands of crores were seized during the elections, but no one knows where that money went. Instead of addressing that, they are harassing the Congress in an attempt to destabilise us and gain political advantage. But that will not happen. We are united and will stand firm,' he said during his interaction with media representatives at his residence in Kalaburagi in the morning Congress general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala also condemned the raids by questioning whether the success of Karnataka Congress government's guarantee schemes had disturbed the BJP's sleep. 'They [BJP] continue to weaponise agencies to attack opposition leaders out of sheer political hatred… Despite these sinister attempts, the Modi-led central government's misuse of power cannot break the unity of the Congress party or weaken democracy,' he said in a post on X post.
