A.P. has secured investment MoUs worth ₹9.34 lakh crore, says Lanka Dinakar
Marking the completion of one year under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh, Twenty Point Programme Implementation Chairmen Lanka Dinakar addressed the media at the State Secretariat at Velagapudi on Monday, highlighting key milestones and governance reforms during the NDA regime. Mr. Dinakar announced that Phase-1 reviews of Twenty Point Programme were completed across all 26 districts. 'The State is transitioning from the destruction under YSRCP to the vision of Swarna Andhra,' he said and claimed that the State had secured investment MoUs worth ₹9.34 lakh crore and was working to generate 25 lakh jobs. He detailed flagship projects including Amaravati capital development, Visakhapatnam economic zone, Polavaram Project Phase-1 by 2027, and industrial zones in Kopparthi-Orvakal. He emphasised a shift from YSRCP's 'anti-people, arrogant governance' to 'public participation and policy correction.' Mr. Dinakar criticised the YSRCP's 'failures' in housing, JJM, and AMRUT schemes, citing inflated progress reports and mismanagement. He also accused the previous regime of misusing ₹96 crore in media surveys and liquor policy corruption. He affirmed the current government's focus on women's empowerment, decentralised development, and large-scale recruitment drives. 'With Mr. Modi's Viksit Bharat vision and Mr. Naidu's leadership, Andhra Pradesh is being steered towards a $2.4 trillion economy,' he said.

Centre supporting overall development of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati in particular: Lanka Dinakar
Extending a warm welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Amaravati capital city works relaunch programme on Friday, Andhra Pradesh Twenty Point Programme Implementation Chairperson and BJP senior leader Lanka Dinakar observed that Amaravati will be developed as the growth engine of the State. He said that as per the aspirations of Prime Minister's Viksit Bharat and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's Swarnandra 2047, the Amaravati will become the world class green city. The NDA led double engine government prioritised growth and development of Amaravati, along with the North Andhra and Rayalaseema Regions, as many projects are in progress in these regions, he added. Mr. Dinakar elaborated that, 'Central government sanctioned Rs. 15,000 Crore financial assistance in the forms of grant and Rs. 11,000 crore loan through HUDCO, Rs. 2,500 crore worth Amaravati railway line and Rs. 20,000 crore worth Outer Ring Road (ORR) have been already sanctioned for the capital city. On the other hand, Rs. 1.8 lakh crore worth hydrogen power project foundation stone laid at Anakapalli, construction of Vizag Railway zone, Bhogapuram Airport, and Bulk Drugs Park at Nakkapalli Industrustrial area are in progress'. He added that, when it comes to central Andhra, Rs. 95,000 crore worth BPCL petro refinery project is coming up near Ramayapatnam port. On the other hand, the Rayalaseema regions is also witnessing development through the Kopparthy and Orvakal industrial nodes, sanctioned by the Central Government, along with the funds provided under the PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive) and Swadesi Darshan Scheme for Nandyal district for the development of tourism.

Timely execution of central schemes emphasised
Paderu (ASR district): Lanka Dinakar, Chairman for the implementation of Twenty Point Programme, said the government is committed to ensuring the benefits of every central scheme reach the last person in the most remote tribal hamlets. He stressed the need for timely execution and transparency in every department. The review, held in Paderu on Friday, aimed at transforming the district into a 'Developed Alluri Sitarama Raju District' in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's Swarna Andhra 2047. Joint Collector Abhishek Goud coordinated this meeting, which reviewed centrally sponsored schemes' progress, project implementation, and infrastructure development in the district. The review covered critical sectors such as employment schemes, rural development, housing, water supply, road connectivity, agriculture, energy, and tourism. Under MGNREGS, officials reported Rs 301.3 crore spent on materials and Rs 434.2 crore on wages by March 2025, with efforts underway to raise the current average daily wage of Rs 263 to the entitled Rs 300. In Jal Jeevan Mission, 3,503 of 7,185 projects have been completed. However, many tap connections remain non-functional, requiring Rs 1,700 crore for full coverage. road projects under PMGSY and PM Janman are progressing slowly, with forest clearances causing delays. Housing under PMAY and PM Janman remains a concern, with only 3,989 homes completed out of over 51,000 sanctioned. Implementation of PM Surya Ghar scheme is lagging, and PM KUSUM remains non-functional in the district. Women empowerment initiatives like Lakhpati Didi and Drone Didi were highlighted, and the need for faster rollout of benefits under PM Vishwakarma and crop insurance was discussed. The meeting also addressed food security coverage under NFSA, efforts in cattle development through the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, and the need for detailed project reports to boost tourism in places like Borra Caves and Araku. Officials were directed to promote local employment in food processing, tourism, and handicrafts to support the district's long-term development goals. Araku MP Tanuja Rani and officials from various departments participated in the session.
