Adani Ports, 2 others vie to build 174-acre logistics park in Greater Noida
Three Gujarat-based firms — Adani Ports & SEZ, Super Handlers, and Empezar Logistics — have submitted proposals to set up a multimodal logistics park spread over 174 acres in Greater Noida. The initiative, which is projected to draw at least ₹1,200 crore investment, aligns with Uttar Pradesh's broader efforts to strengthen its industrial and logistics framework, according to The Economic Times. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) issued a call for proposals to lease the land on a 90-year term. The proposed logistics park will feature cargo yards, warehousing hubs, skill development centres, and other services related to cargo operations, the news report mentioned. Strategic location and policy support The logistics park site is strategically located near the under-construction Noida International Airport and offers direct connectivity to both eastern and western dedicated freight corridors. The land, located in Greater Noida's Kappa II sector, will be leased for 90 years. The project is part of the Greater Noida Master Plan 2041. Proposals will be reviewed by a screening committee and finalised by an allotment committee, The Economic Times report said. UP reserves land for multimodal logistics parks In December last year, the Uttar Pradesh government set aside 17,000 acres of land across the state to build multimodal logistics parks, as part of its plan to grow the economy to $1 trillion. These parks aim to streamline transportation and logistics by integrating various modes of transport with warehousing and distribution facilities at a single site. Companies investing a minimum of ₹1,000 crore in these projects may receive up to 30 per cent subsidy on land cost, as per the proposed state policy. The plan also includes several other incentives to attract private players, particularly in capital and land investment. Integrated cargo terminals under development The UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) is the nodal agency for this initiative. It has identified land near expressways and highways close to major urban centres for the MMLPs. These hubs will house advanced infrastructure, including cold storage units, intermodal cargo terminals, modern warehouses, and offer services such as customs clearance, testing, packaging, and labelling under one roof. Additionally, the state's first multimodal waterway logistics terminal is under development in Varanasi. UPEIDA has also collaborated with ETH Zurich's RTDT Laboratories AG to assess ride quality and comfort on the state's expressway network.

UP cabinet okays 15km-long Chitrakoot link e-way
Lucknow: The state cabinet on Tuesday gave its nod for the construction of 15-km long Chitrakoot Link Expressway. The four-lane carriageway to come up at a cost of Rs 940 crore would facilitate movement between the Bundelkhand Expressway and Chitrakoot. It would originate near Bharatkoop and span up to Ahmadganj locality, close to the UP-Madhya Pradesh border. With the nod, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) would commence the process of acquiring the land. UPEIDA officials said the link expressway would act as a catalyst to increase vehicular movement over the Bundelkhand Expressway, as through the link expressway, the Satna–Chitrakoot–Prayagraj national highway would be easily accessible to motorists. Those heading to the National Capital Region from Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Rewa and Satna are likely to opt for this access-controlled network of expressways (Bundelkhand, Lucknow-Agra and Yamuna Expressways). A construction company would be asked to execute the project on EPC mode (engineering, procurement and construction) and look after its maintenance for five years after completion.

Positioning Uttar Pradesh as a rising 'Expressway State' and an emerging manufacturing powerhouse, the event will highlight the state's rapid infrastructural and industrial development—especially key projects such as the UP Defense Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) and Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLC), spearheaded by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). The government said UPITS-2025 will serve as a platform to promote these ambitious initiatives and attract both domestic and global investors. Designed around the vision of 'Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh', the exhibition will feature technologically advanced and aesthetically impressive stalls, highlighting the state's transition into a global hub for infrastructure and manufacturing. Being organised in collaboration with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department and India Expo Mart Limited, the event is expected to draw over 50,000 trade representatives, industry leaders, and policymakers from India and abroad. UPEIDA will present a 500 square metre integrated digital pavilion showcasing the state's landmark achievements in expressway development, defence manufacturing, and logistics infrastructure. The expressways connecting the six nodes of the UP Defence Corridor—Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Agra, Aligarh, and Chitrakoot—are helping connectivity, the government said. The UPITS-2025 aims to demonstrate this potential, officiuals said. UPEIDA's exhibition stall will be equipped with digital technologies and immersive experiences. 6-lane link between Lko-Agra and Purvanchal e-ways soon
Lucknow: Motorists heading to Purvanchal from Agra and the National Capital Region will not have to negotiate city traffic in the years to come. The state govt on Thursday gave its approval to UPEIDA (Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority) to proceed with the construction of the 50-km long six-lane link expressway connecting the Lucknow- Agra Expressway near Mohan Road in the city to the Purvanchal Expressway in Gosainganj. A budget of Rs 4,776 crore is required to undertake the greenfield access control project that will connect the carriageways of the two existing expressways. To create additional linkages and provide an increased catchment area for vehicle owners using the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, UPEIDA will create entry and exit ramps. These ramps will facilitate traffic movement between the upcoming link expressway and Kanpur and Rae Bareli Roads. Officials said those bound for Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Kanpur, and Unnao will not have to negotiate city traffic to access the Lucknow-Kanpur and Lucknow–Rae Bareli-Prayagraj national highways. "Also, congestion at Avadh Hospital Chauraha, Singarnagar, Krishnanagar and Barabirwa will decrease substantially," the officer further said.

CM to launch integrated mfg, logistics cluster project to boost growth
1 2 Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday will inaugurate 27 nodes under the Uttar Pradesh Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster– an initiative of the UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to boost economic development along the highways. An official spokesperson said on Wednesday the integrated approach is expected to accelerate industrial growth, create large-scale employment opportunities and drive balanced regional development across UP. "It will ultimately propel Uttar Pradesh towards its one trillion economy target and achieving industrial self-reliance," the official said. "These nodes, strategically located along major expressways, are not only a dream project of CM Yogi but also hold immense strategic significance. While they will serve as dedicated corridors for manufacturing, they will also host logistics hubs to facilitate seamless movement of goods via road, rail, and air," said the official. They also said the efforts, implemented in collaboration with the central govt, align with Uttar Pradesh's strategy to develop each expressway-linked node into an economic growth engine. "By attracting investments, creating jobs, and promoting regional specialisation, the Yogi govt is setting the foundation for an industrially robust and economically empowered Uttar Pradesh," the official said.
