Lucknow: Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath
on Thursday will inaugurate 27 nodes under the Uttar Pradesh Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster– an initiative of the UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to boost economic development along the highways.
An official spokesperson said on Wednesday the integrated approach is expected to accelerate industrial growth, create large-scale employment opportunities and drive balanced regional development across UP.
"It will ultimately propel Uttar Pradesh towards its one trillion economy target and achieving industrial self-reliance," the official said.
"These nodes, strategically located along major expressways, are not only a dream project of CM Yogi but also hold immense strategic significance.
While they will serve as dedicated corridors for manufacturing, they will also host logistics hubs to facilitate seamless movement of goods via road, rail, and air," said the official.
They also said the efforts, implemented in collaboration with the central govt, align with Uttar Pradesh's strategy to develop each expressway-linked node into an economic growth engine.
"By attracting investments, creating jobs, and promoting regional specialisation, the Yogi govt is setting the foundation for an industrially robust and economically empowered Uttar Pradesh," the official said.

Janmashtami to be celebrated at every police station: Yogi
1 2 Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said Janmashtami would be celebrated at every police station and police training institute in the state on Aug 16. "The occasion would provide trainees with an opportunity to showcase their cultural and artistic talents, making the festival a symbol of cultural unity," Yogi made this announcement during his visit to Moradabad where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 87 development projects worth Rs 1,172 crore. Accusing the Samajwadi Party of having tried to restrict Janmashtami celebrations when it was in power, Yogi said his govt would ensure grand celebrations across the state. Referring to the result of the Kundarki bypoll held in Nov 2024, where BJP trumped the SP candidate in a Muslim majority area, the CM called it Moradabad's rejection of SP's and Congress' divisive politics. "The public chose satisfaction over appeasement, leading to the forfeiture of SP-Congress deposits," he said. Highlighting the global recognition which Moradabad's handicraft are getting, the CM said "It was the commitment of BJP's double-engine government to elevate the city and its products on the world stage. Once known for chaos and hooliganism, Moradabad is now renowned for its excellent handicrafts and brass items under the ODOP scheme, exporting products worth Rs 11,000 to Rs 15,000 crore." He added that Moradabad's artists, including one who received a Padma award, are working tirelessly to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a self-reliant India. SP leaders have donkey-like intelligence: Yogi
Bareilly: UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid foundations for development projects worth Rs 1,172 crore during his visit to Moradabad on Wednesday. The projects include the Rs 15 crore Gautam Buddha Waste Management Education Centre, Rs 18.73 crore Spandan Sarovar, Rs 78.73 crore Atal Residential School and the Constitution Literature Park. He also launched and laid the foundation for 87 development projects. Addressing a gathering, Yogi launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP), saying, "SP leaders have donkey-like intelligence." He was referring a past incident when Kalyan Singh was in office. People at that time allegedly protested when the letter 'G' was taught as 'G for Ganesh.' Yogi said, "Later, when SP govt assumed office, they taught 'G' stood for 'Gadha' (donkey). It was an insult to Lord Ganesh." Yogi said the previous SP govt left behind 1.54 lakh dilapidated schools, which lacked basic facilities like toilets for women, hygiene, etc. Now, under the "Kayakalp" initiative, 1.36 schools have been transformed by providing digital libraries, labs, and smart classes, and the BJP govt is working to modernise the remaining schools. He also mentioned that prior to 2017, Moradabad was engulfed by riots, but now, under the one district one product scheme, city's brass product has gained popularity in global markets. Yogi also visited Bareilly, where he called the SP rule mafia-backed, corruption-ridden and lawless. He accused SP of promoting nepotism, saying jobs were sold under their regime through favouritism and loot. He said SP had made "one district one mafia", but things have changed now. "The law and order situation is under control now," said the CM.
