UPSIDA executes 113 mega plot allotments in May
Lucknow: UP State Industrial Development Authority CEO Mayur Maheshwari on Friday said UPSIDA was steadily strengthening and modernising the state's industrial infrastructure to drive Uttar Pradesh towards the goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy. "In line with this vision, UPSIDA executed a mega allotment scheme in May, successfully allotting 113 plots that are expected to attract investments worth ₹700 crore and generate employment opportunities for about 4,800 individuals," he said. As part of this, UPSIDA allotted 88 industrial plots and two commercial properties across various industrial areas in the state. Additionally, 23 industrial plots were allotted through the Nivesh Mitra portal. Among the 113 allotted plots, several industrial areas attracted interest, including Kosi Kotwan, Jalaun, Bhogaon (Mainpuri), Malwan (Fatehpur), Shahjahanpur, Pilkhani (Saharanpur), Ramnagar-2 (Chandauli), Karkhiyaon (Varanasi), IIDC Banther (Unnao), MG Road (Hapur), and Site-C Surajpur (Greater Noida). Our transparent, tech-enabled allotment process is not only attracting investors but also ensuring timely possession and delivery of infrastructure facilities. UPSIDA remains committed to accelerating industrial infrastructure development and will soon make more plots available— further strengthening the prospects of a New Uttar Pradesh. " Listing out highlights of the mega allotment, he said: "Param Industries Limited acquired land for a warehousing project through the highest bid of Rs 36 crore. Likewise, Shri Vinayak Group secured land for a sector shopping complex by placing a bid exceeding Rs 31 crore." He added that the pharmaceutical sector also saw investment interest, with Evertouch Bioremedies proposing the setting up of a manufacturing unit. He added that several new industrial units will be established as a result of the allotments. In Unnao, Hans Energy, Dhara Tools and Servocon Systems will set up auto parts manufacturing units. In Pilibhit, Ganpati Electricals will establish a moulding unit. In Jhansi, Om Illumination will launch a hardware unit. In Lalitpur, Bhaderiya Pharma will set up a bulk drug manufacturing unit.

UP to display industries, products at 5-day trade fair in September
The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government will display various industries and products at a four-day day trade fair in September, seeking to impress investors as it works to become a $1 million economy in four to five years. The government will promote 12 industries at UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025: small businesses, agriculture and allied industries, energy, environment, health, education, electronics, defence, tourism, transport, electric vehicles, and finance. The third edition of UPITS 2025 is scheduled September 25 to 29 in Greater Noida. "To propel the state's 'vocal for local' vision, the UPITS will promote exports and connect local producers with global buyers, and cement UP's position on the global investment map," said a senior government official. Vietnam was UP's partner country last year when the five-day fair had buyers from 72 nations spanning Europe, Africa, North America, Latin America and Oceania. As many as 35 UP government departments are planning the event this year. It will have 48 participants who will exhibit products and services of 12 sectors in a 50,000 sq metre space. UP State Industrial Development Authority, Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority and UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority will participate in the fair. "The prime focus will be on the MSME [micro, small and medium enterprises sector since it is a major job creator and contributes immensely to the industrial output and exports," said the official. More than 30 per cent of the trade fair's exhibition space will be kept for MSMEs. Products supported by geographical indication and One District One Product programmes will be showcased at UPITS 2025. Foods such as Agra's petha and Malihabad mangoes and artisan products like Moradabad brassware and Banarasi saris will be pitched for a global audience.
