"Cried After Giving Birth": UK Woman Slammed For Calling Her Newborn Son 'Ugly'
A British woman recently faced intense online backlash after describing her newborn son as "ugly" moments after birth. According to the New York Post, Jess, a 20-year-old UK mother, sparked controversy after posting a video where she candidly described her newborn son as "ugly" while holding him, sparking widespread criticism online. "He's got the f- -king ugliest nose. He's so ugly,' she said in a video after giving birth. "I literally stared at him and cried [because] I thought he was so ugly while I was in shock after labour,' she wrote in the caption of the TikTok video that has garnered more than 1.2 million views. However, she later shared that her feelings changed after a few hours, and she started to find her baby cute. She attributed her initial reaction to postpartum hormones and asked the internet for understanding. The internet reacted strongly, with many criticising her harsh comments, saying how such negative remarks can impact the boy's confidence and self-esteem. One TikToker called her as the "baby's first bully", while another called her remarks "horrible" and "cruel." "Imagine knowing your mom posted this for everyone to see and laugh at you? Poor little boy," a third said. "Delete this now and never mention it again. You will crush [his] self-esteem forever," a fourth urged. "It's one thing to think/say it whilst just given birth. But to post it on a public platform for all to see and laugh at is completely disgusting to be honest," a fifth added. Not just Jess, other mothers, like Emily Crossan from England, have also shared similar honest reactions about their newborns' appearances. Ms Crossan jokingly described her baby as "funny looking" and compared him to a "garden gnome." Notably, this controversial trend has been seen on social media, particularly on TikTok, where parents participate in the "Ugly Baby Challenge," sharing less-than-flattering photos of their children. Miki Rai, a healthcare worker from Seattle, shared the unspoken rule among hospital staff when commenting on a newborn's appearance. "If the baby is cute, you can just tell them the baby's cute. But if the baby is ugly, you just tell [the parent] they look just like them."

‘He's got the ugliest nose': UK mom sparks outrage after mocking her newborn baby
A young British mother has sparked backlash after calling her newborn son 'ugly' just moments after giving birth, and the internet isn't taking it lightly. Jess, a woman in her twenties from the UK, shared a video where she can be seen holding her baby while making harsh remarks about his appearance, reported the New York Post. The clip, which has racked up more than 1.2 million views, shows her bluntly stating, 'He's got the f- -king ugliest nose.' She didn't stop there. 'He's so ugly,' Jess said, reflecting on her immediate reaction after childbirth. In the caption of the video, she explained her response came while still in shock post-labour. 'I literally stared at him and cried [because] I thought he was so ugly while I was in shock after labour,' she admitted, adding that she did eventually warm up to her baby's looks. 'I thought he was cute after a few hours,' she wrote, asking viewers not to come after her for the raw honesty. She blamed her reaction on postpartum hormones. We have already paid' While some may have chalked it up to brutal honesty, many viewers didn't find Jess' comments amusing. Online backlash was swift and intense. 'Baby's first bully,' one user wrote, while another said, 'This is actually so cruel.' A concerned viewer added, 'Imagine knowing your mom posted this for everyone to see and laugh at you? Poor little boy.' Another advised, 'Delete this now and never mention it again. You will crush [his] self-esteem forever.' A user took issue not with the sentiment but with the public nature of it. 'It's one thing to think/say it whilst just given birth,' he wrote. 'But to post it on a public platform for all to see and laugh at is completely disgusting to be honest!' 'Mother of the year,' someone else added sarcastically. Jess is not alone in expressing harsh first impressions of her newborn. Emily Crossan, another mother from England, once said, 'He was so funny looking and definitely not the most attractive baby in the world,' comparing her baby to a 'garden gnome.' The internet has seen a wave of similar sentiments under trends like the 'Ugly Baby Challenge,' where parents jokingly post photos of their children looking less than photogenic. The controversial challenge gained traction on TikTok during the pandemic. While some parents find humor in these moments, medical professionals have their own code when navigating such delicate situations. Miki Rai, a healthcare worker from Seattle, offered insight into how hospital staff handle it: 'If the baby is cute, you can just tell them the baby's cute,' she said in a video. 'But if the baby is ugly,' she laughed, Also read: Prince Louis' unseen video on seventh birthday has a rare surprise for fans… his adorable voice

I cried after giving birth because my baby was ‘so ugly' — trolls say I'm 'cruel,' but I have my reasons
Some folks are born with faces that only their mothers could love — this kid wasn't even that lucky. 'He's got the f- -king ugliest nose,' whined new mom Jess, a 20-something from the UK, while cradling (and critiquing) her infant son just moments after giving birth. 'He's so ugly,' she griped in a viral vid that's scarred up over 1.2 million views. 3 Social media defenders blasted a Gen Z mom named Jess for openly calling her son 'ugly' seconds after he was born. nataliaderiabina – 'I literally stared at him and cried [because] I thought he was so ugly while I was in shock after labor,' the Gen Zer confessed in the closed-captions of the clip, admitting, however, that she eventually warmed up to her little one's looks. 'I thought he was cute after a few hours,' she wrote before begging social media savages not to 'come for' her throat in fury. She blamed her initial repulsion to the youngster on postpartum 'hormones.' As expected, outraged digital detractors dragged the mean-spirited mama across the internet for her honest remarks — and things really got ugly. 3 Online audiences were unsympathetic to Jess' claims that out-of-whack 'hormones' caused her to consider her kid ugly. nataliaderiabina – 'Baby's first bully,' spat a stunned spectator. 'This is actually so cruel,' a crestfallen commenter wrote. 'Horrible,' said a bleeding heart. 'Imagine knowing your mom posted this for everyone to see and laugh at you? Poor little boy.' 'Delete this now and never mention it again. You will crush [his] self-esteem forever,' another urged. 'It's one thing to think/say it whilst just given birth,' a separate faultfinder scolded. 'But to post it on a public platform for all to see and laugh at is completely disgusting to be honest!' 3 Mothers around the world have confessed to being underwhelmed by their newborns' unappealing looks. DD – 'Mother of the year,' another said sarcastically. The harsh jibes aside, Jess is far from the only parent who's reviled their newborn child. Emily Crossan, a millennial mom from England, openly likened her defenseless tot to a 'garden gnome,' saying: 'He was so funny looking and definitely not the most attractive baby in the world.' And shameless moms around the globe eagerly shared snaps of their cringe-worthy kiddos for the 'Ugly Baby Challenge' — a virtual call to spotlight unattractive tikes. The controversial trend dominated TikTok shortly after the pandemic. But for labor and delivery nurses who don't get their kicks by publicly poking fun at babies, there's a special code that they use to covertly comment on a kid's attractiveness — or lack thereof. 'If the baby is cute, you can just tell them the baby's cute,' said Miki Rai, a healthcare professional from Seattle, in a vid. 'But if the baby is ugly,' she laughed, 'you just tell [the parent] they look just like them.'
