Sky pay day deal cuts TV, Netflix and fibre broadband back to its 'lowest price' ever
Sky has brought back a popular deal from its Easter sale offering a TV, Netflix and broadband bundle for a record low price to rival Virgin Media and BT Sky has launched a flash pay day sale that's dropped a popular TV and broadband bundle back to its 'lowest price' ever. The provider has just brought back a popular deal from its Easter sale that offers the Essential TV and Full Fibre 300 broadband package for £35 per month and also includes 300Mbps fibre broadband for the cost of 150Mbps. Sky said 'our lowest ever price is back' as it unveiled the new round of deals, which have also seen the Ultimate TV and Full Fibre 300 broadband bundle – which includes more than 35 extra channels – reduced to £39. Sky's Full Fibre 300 usually comes in at £29 per month without any TV access, but the current deals also include more than 100 channels such as Sky Atlantic, Sky Sports News, and free-to-air channels like BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Both plans also come with free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+, with the option to add Sky Cinema and Sky Sports to the package for an £10 and £20 respectively. All of this is accessible via Sky Stream, the brand's latest device that delivers TV and streaming services through WiFi instead of a traditional satellite dish. Sky has recently introduced the new One Touch Switch scheme, which means customers don't have to contact their existing broadband provider to make the switch. In a move to simplify customer transitions, Sky has taken on the responsibility of contacting customers' previous providers, reports the Mirror. It's important to note that Sky's TV and broadband packages are tied to 24-month plans, with the company indicating that its prices 'may change' during the minimum term. This year, Sky's TV and broadband prices went up by 6.2%, hinting at the possibility of a comparable hike next April. Notably, Sky is among the few providers offering subscribers the option to exit their contracts early if a price hike is announced. Sky's TV and broadband deals offer stuff competition for Virgin Media's Bigger Combo bundle, which delivers more than 200 TV channels and 362Mbps fibre broadband for £34.99 a month, but lacks access to Sky Atlantic, Netflix and Discovery+. Sky also beats BT and EE's comparable Big Entertainment and Full Fibre 300 plan, which is on offer at £48.99 per month for six months. Even with this discount, the plan is more than £600 more expensive over the 24-month term once the price reverts to the usual £63.99 rate. Sky members have been singing praises for the brand on Trustpilot, where one five-star review says: "Sky Stream is a game changer. Switched a few weeks back and it's the best decision I've ever made. Installation takes care of itself, the remote even auto tunes itself to the TV. The best part is though the ability to have a single charge for all your streaming subscriptions." This customer left a mixed review, saying: "I wasn't happy with the service provided by Sky, phoned up to change my deal and was passed around like a parcel. Eventually I got to speak to someone who knew what they were doing. I am happy my issue was finally resolved but took a lot of work." But another happy customer said: "I've been with lots of companies to get my TV and internet but the best service I have received out of them all is Sky. We did change to other companies because of the price but always go back to Sky."

Sky's cheapest ever TV, Netflix and broadband deal is back
Sky has once again cut the price of its Essential TV and Full Fibre 300 broadband to a record low to rival Virgin Media and BT Sky has brought back a popular TV and broadband bundle that's seen prices drop to their 'lowest ever' in a surprise pay day deal. Just weeks after calling time on its Easter sale, Sky has once again reduced its Essential TV and Full Fibre 300 broadband bundle to £35 per month and is offering 300Mbps fibre broadband for the price of 150Mbps. Sky said 'our lowest ever price is back' as it announced the sale, which has also seen the Ultimate TV and Full Fibre 300 broadband bundle – which includes more than 35 extra channels – drop to £39. Sky's Full Fibre 300 usually costs £29 per month without any TV access, but the latest deals also provide access to more than 100 channels including Sky Atlantic, Sky Sports News, and major free-to-air channels like BBC, ITV and Channel 4. The combined bundles also include free Netflix and Discovery+ subscriptions, with the option to add Sky Cinema and Sky Sports for an extra £10 and £20 respectively. All of this is delivered via Sky Stream, the brand's new gadget that provides TV and streaming access through WiFi instead of a traditional satellite dish. Sky is now among the providers to introduce the new One Touch Switch scheme, which means customers don't have to contact their existing broadband provider to complete the switch. With this, Sky will do the necessary leg work on behalf of the customer, reports the Express. It's also worth noting that to secure the cheaper prices, you'll need to commit to a 24-month plan, while Sky states the price of its TV and broadband plans 'may change' during this period. This includes the annual price hike in April implemented by many firms each year. Earlier this year, Sky announced a 6.2% increase to its TV and broadband prices, so we may expect a similar rise in April 2026. Despite this, Sky stands out by giving customers the option to terminate their contract early should a price rise be announced. Sky's new round of deals puts it head to head with Virgin's Bigger Combo bundle, which offers more than 200 channels and 362Mbps fibre broadband for £34.99. Although this is a penny cheaper than Sky and around 60Mbps faster, Virgin does not offer Sky Atlantic or Netflix, which could be a deal-breaker for some. Another rival is BT and EE's Big Entertainment and Full Fibre 300 plan, which is on offer at £48.99 per month for six months but ends up costing more than £600 extra over the contract term once it reverts to the standard £63.99 rate. Sky customers have been posting their positive experiences of the brand on Trustpilot, where one glowing review said: "Sky Stream is a game changer. Switched a few weeks back and it's the best decision I've ever made. Installation takes care of itself, the remote even auto tunes itself to the TV. The best part is the ability to have a single charge for all your streaming subscriptions." However, this less-impressed customer said: "I wasn't happy with the service provided by Sky, phoned up to change my deal and was passed around like a parcel. Eventually, I got to speak to someone who knew what they were doing. I am happy my issue was finally resolved but took a lot of work." Another consumer said: "I've been with lots of companies to get my TV and internet but the best service I have received out of them all is Sky. We did change to other companies because of the price but always go back to Sky."

Sky broadband to get more expensive this month when 'digital exclusive' deals end
Sky has confirmed the end date for its 'digital exclusive price' deals, with prices set to rise after the promotion ends. Sky has confirmed its broadband prices for new customers will increase when a series of cost-cutting deals end this month. Over the last several weeks, Sky has been reducing the price of its broadband and TV packages, but most of these offers have now returned to their regular pricing. However, Sky continues to offer some attractive discounts on its fibre broadband contracts through several 'digital exclusive price' deals, providing speeds up to a whopping 900Mbps on certain plans. These 'exclusive' prices currently range from £25 per month for Full Fibre 75 to £42 for Full Fibre Gigafast – Sky's fastest broadband. The mid-range option is Sky's Full Fibre 500, now priced at £31 – a monthly saving of £13.50 compared to the standard price of £43.50. However, Sky has confirmed each of these deals will expire on Wednesday, May 28, with prices set to rise after this date. For those contemplating a switch, bundling broadband with a TV subscription often provides better value, so it's worth considering Sky's offerings. After ending its spring sale, Sky brought back a popular TV, Netflix and broadband package, saying 'our lowest price is back'. The Essential TV and Full Fibre 150 bundle has returned to £35 per month and includes more than 100 channels, such as Sky Atlantic. There's also free access to Netflix and Discovery+, with an additional 35 channels available if you upgrade to Ultimate TV for an extra £4, reports Wales Online. Sky's latest TV offer gives Virgin Media's Bigger Combo bundle a run for its money, though there are some notable differences between the two plans. Virgin's package boasts more than 200 TV channels and 362Mbps fibre broadband at £34.99 per month, but it doesn't include Sky Atlantic, Netflix or Discovery+. Sky Atlantic is part of BT and EE's NOW Entertainment and Full Fibre 300 plan, which costs £51.99 per month. However, those who stick with Sky can take advantage of the company's new Sky Stream device, which provides TV and streaming services via WiFi instead of a traditional satellite dish. Moreover, Sky's One Touch Switch scheme means that they will deal with the current broadband provider to facilitate the switch. Numerous Sky customers have shared their experiences with the brand on Trustpilot, with many praising it as 'outstanding'. One five-star review says: "Outstanding. Service is up and running smoothly. The quality of service is excellent, really fast, and I am delighted that I chose Sky broadband and TV." Another says: "I have Full Fibre 150. Zero problems. Live sport doesn't lag, and it's a good price at under £30. Installation was perfect." A third reviewer said: "Great experience from the minute I signed up. It was super easy to sign up online and at a competitive price. The equipment was delivered quickly and when I had an issue with a missing parcel, customer services went above and beyond to try and get me a replacement." However, another reviewer offered a more balanced assessment, saying: "Like most broadband companies, the speed can be a bit up and down, but on the whole it's a good service."

Sky Stream new customer deals for May 2025
Sky Stream is the simplest and most flexible satellite-dish-free Sky service in the UK – so we're not surprised to find you here, thinking about whether it's right for you. Sky's streaming service product is similar to its own-brand TV Sky Glass, which gives customers the option to access all their channels over the internet instead of via satellite. Sky Stream has one key difference: It doesn't require you to purchase an integrated TV set – all you'll need is a television with an HDMI port and broadband to connect the small, convenient streaming box to connect to your telly and WiFi. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Sky Stream now has two base packages to choose from – Essential TV and Ultimate TV – with different price points. There are also numerous add-ons, including sports and cinema channels, so you can tailor the service to your budget and viewing preferences. Find the best Sky Stream deals This guide will take you through what you need to know about Sky Stream (which gets a mention in our best streaming services roundup) – including details of new customer deals, available channels and broadband requirements. Sky Stream packages – Essential TV vs Ultimate TV Sky recently changed its base packs – instead of offering one option, you can choose between two and layer in add-ons as you wish. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Sky Essential TV is priced at £15/month for a 24-month minimum term for new customers, or £18/month if you'd prefer a monthly rolling contract. This tier boasts Sky Atlantic, Netflix Standard with Ads, discovery+ basic membership and "100 channels" including free-to-view programming from the likes of the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Shop Sky Stream packages Sky Ultimate TV is priced at £22/month (usually £32/month) on a 24-month contract for new customers, or £25/month (usually £35/month) on a 31-day rolling agreement. This package is more familiar to legacy Sky Stream customers – it contains all the Essential TV output "plus over 35 more premium channels" including Sky Max, Sky Witness, National Geographic, Sky Crime, Sky Documentaries and U&Gold. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Sky Ultimate TV viewers can also access Sky Nature, Sky Comedy and lots of MTV channels as part of their package. Whether you choose Essential TV or Ultimate TV as the foundation of your Sky Stream membership, you'll have access to Sky Atlantic, Netflix Standard with Ads, and discovery+ basic membership. Shop for Sky Stream packages Sky at Sky Sky Stream May 2025 deals – Is there a free trial? Here's how things are looking price-wise for Sky Stream's packages when you consider the various add-ons. Our last price check was conducted on Tuesday 6 May 2025. There isn't a regular Sky Stream free trial as such, but occasionally new customers will be offered a month or three months' access for free. The last free trial offer came to an end in late September 2024. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Shop Sky Stream packages More on the latest pricing below: • Sky Stream base package: You will need to take out either Sky Essential TV or Sky Ultimate TV to buy any of Sky Stream's add-ons. As a reminder, the starting prices for new Sky customers are as follows: • Sky Essential TV (24 months): £15/month • Sky Essential TV (31-day rolling): £18/month • Sky Ultimate TV (24 months): £22/month (usually £32/month) • Sky Ultimate TV (31-day rolling): £25/month (usually £35/month) As of May 2025, the base package you choose shouldn't affect the add-on pricing that you're offered. This is instead influenced by how long you'd like to commit to the add-on. Netflix • Netflix upgrade: £6/month (usually £6.49/month) for Netflix Standard, or £11/month (usually £13.49/month) for Netflix Premium. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Netflix Standard with Ads gives you access to watch on two screens and download to two devices, with viewing in 1080p Full HD. Netflix says customers "can expect to see a few short adverts per hour" and adds that it aims to place them "during natural plot breaks for a more seamless experience". If you'd like to upgrade, Netflix Standard also gives you access to watch and download on two supported devices in 1080p Full HD, but without in-programme adverts. For an additional £4.99 per month (with adverts) or £5.99 per month (without adverts), you also have the option to add one extra member to your account who doesn't live with you. Netflix Premium is a 4K UHD + HDR service with immersive spatial audio, allowing you to watch on up to four supported devices at once and download to six supported devices. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement For an additional £4.99 per person per month (with adverts) or £5.99 per month (without adverts), you can add up to two members to your account who don't live with you. • Sky Sports is on offer at £20/month (usually £31/month) on a 24-month contract, or £27/month (usually £33/month) on a 31-day rolling contract. DARREN STAPLES - Getty Images Shop Sky Stream May 2025 package deals Sky Sports' coverage includes live Premier League, EFL Championship and Women's Super League football matches, Formula 1 and IndyCar racing, German Bundesliga football, NFL games, top-level cricket, basketball, netball and rugby league, Premier League Darts and much more. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Last year, it launched a tennis channel that carries major tournaments including the US Open, along with a new Sky Sports+ channel and accompanying Sky Sports+ streams "at no extra cost" to Sky Sports subscribers. To get the promotional pricing for Sky Sports on a 24-month term, Sky's terms say you'll need to "keep both packs for 24 months to continue to get this offer" – so you'll need to retain the basic Sky Stream package for that length of time, too. • Sky Cinema is on offer at £10/month (usually £13/month) on a 24-month contract, or £13/month (usually £16/month) on a 31-day rolling contract. Sky Cinema gives you access to some of the latest and greatest movies streamable anywhere. May's premieres include Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice and The Wild Robot. Universal Until 31 December 2025, you'll also get two free Vue cinema tickets per month, which are "valid for showings from Sunday to Thursday". You'll need to generate the codes, which are for 2D admission tickets, via your MySky app, and use them within that same calendar month. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Paramount+ Basic is bundled with your Sky Cinema membership at no extra cost, too. • Sky Kids is currently priced at £6/month (usually £8/month) on a 31-day rolling contract. It bundles children's channels from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and the broadcaster's own Sky Kids channel. • TNT Sports is priced at £28/month (usually £31/month) on a 31-day rolling contract. TNT Sports hosts coverage of selected Premier League matches plus Serie A, and exclusive UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League football games. It shares the rights to the UEFA Champions League with Amazon's Prime Video service. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement TNT Sports is also home to Formula E and MotoGP racing, NBA basketball (including the NBA Finals), top-level baseball tournaments, Premiership Rugby, plus WWE and UFC. Customers can access Eurosport's coverage of the French Open, Australian Open, Le Mans, the Olympics and more, too. Eurosport has now integrated with TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland – which also means the end of the discovery+ Standard membership tier. Sky Is Sky Stream right for me? We'd recommend you check out our Sky Stream review – but essentially, Sky Stream gives its customers a way to watch Sky TV without a satellite dish. It's similar to Sky Glass, but you don't need to purchase the full TV set to get it – just a small box that can be plugged into the back of your television and connects to your home WiFi, so a simple setup process that shouldn't require an engineer's visit. If you're happy with your TV hardware and you're specifically looking to subscribe to Sky channels or services, then Sky Stream is something to consider. Customers have the option of 24-month contracts or 31-day rolling contracts for most services (for the latter, you'll need to give 31 days' notice to cancel or change services). Digital Spy/Yasmine Crossland There are some disadvantages – if you don't have great broadband, this may not be the service for you. While the Sky Glass TV sets contain a digital tuner as a backup if your connection goes down, you will need a broadband connection to watch with Sky Stream. The minimum broadband speed recommended for Sky Stream is now 25Mbps. It works with any provider, so Sky Broadband isn't a requirement. If you opt for the UHD and Dolby Atmos package or Whole Home add-on, the recommended minimum broadband speed is 30Mbps. One very important note: Sky Stream pricing is not fixed, as noted during the checkout process, which states that "prices may change during this period" regardless of whether you sign up for a 31-day or 24-month agreement. When walking through setup, we'd recommend reading the terms and conditions in the pop-out section at the bottom of the page very carefully – particularly if you're an existing customer, as pricing for your existing add-ons may be affected depending on what you're changing. Sky Stream vs Sky Q One key difference between the Sky Stream box and Sky Q is that it doesn't have space to store programme recordings. Instead, you can add content to playlists, as you would be able to on many streaming services, and have the option to restart live TV as well. In the absence of a satellite dish, content comes to your screen over WiFi, as with Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ and the rest. The box comes with a voice remote and opens up the Sky Glass user interface – which, as is often highlighted in TV ads for that product, brings all your streaming services and apps together on one screen. sky stream Sky Stream add-on pricing explained At the time of writing, extras not already listed above are priced as follows, with some differences based on whether you have chosen a 31-day rolling contract or a 24-month contract: Sky • Whole Home Pack: Get up to five additional Sky Stream Pucks for £12/month (usually £15/month) per new device (31-day rolling contract). Each new puck has a setup fee as outlined above, although on occasion, Sky may offer customers their first additional device for free. • UHD and Dolby Atmos: Priced at £6/month (31-day rolling contract), this add-on works only with Sky Entertainment, Cinema and Sports content, and you'll need a compatible TV set and audio hardware. • Ad-Skipping: £5/month (usually £6/month) for 24 months and on a 31-day rolling plan. This allows you to fast-forward ads "on Restart, Playlist, and On Demand," Sky's product page notes. You can also fast-forward ads in ITVX, STV Player, the Channel 4 and My5 apps with this add-on. Sky Stream setup fees are usually priced at £39.95. Unlike with Sky Q, an engineer shouldn't need to visit your home for an installation, as the Sky Stream service is delivered via broadband. All you need to do is plug in the device and connect it to your TV. Sky Ultimate TV plan claims to be 'best value' in new deal, but is it really?
Sky Ultimate TV plan claims to be 'best value' in new deal, but is it really? We looked at the differences between the two services to figure out which is better, Essential TV or Ultimate TV Sky offers loads of channels, but which package should you pick? Those looking to boost their TV choices, then Sky's Ultimate TV package could be an option. Sky claims that this package offers the 'best value' of all its bundles, but is that true? Our tech expert has broken down the latest deal to see if it's worth it. Sky Ultimate TV comes in at £22 per month. That's the price for new customers, and includes a Sky Stream box to connect to the TV. Users will also get Netflix and Discovery+, Sky Atlantic and access to 90 free-to-air channels, not to forget the bundled channels that make Ultimate TV stand out from the basic Essential TV package. Sky Essentials only costs £15 a month, so what extra are you getting to justify the £7 a month increase? We've combed through the channels to see what's worth the money. READ MORE: Amazon and Argos slash Hisense 4K TV to record low price in rival sales READ MORE: Giffgaff will give Brits £100 to trial its first-ever broadband for £10 a month The big difference between Essential TV and Ultimate TV is access to Sky Max, Sky Showcase, Sky Witness and more Sky channels, as well as National Geographic and MTV. Sky says that viewers get more than 35 more channels compared to Essential TV. That's on top of the 90+ free channels that both packages offer. On both Sky plans, viewers get access to Netflix (the Standard with Ads plan), Discovery+ Basic, which combined are worth £8.98, so on Essential TV, everything else is really costs £6.02 a month. Another provider that offers Netflix included in the plan is EE as part of its broadband and TV combo, although it is more expensive. Sky Ultimate TV £22 Sky See the deals Product Description Get Sky's 'best value' Ultimate TV package including Netflix, Discovery+ and many Sky channels It's also worth mentions for those locked into a rival provider plan who wants access to some Sky channels. Both Virgin Media and NOW TV offer some Sky channels as paid for add ons. Back to Sky, and the blockbuster TV channel on both services is Sky Atlantic, which is where shows like Day of the Jackal and House of the Dragon air – and both Essential TV and Ultimate TV get access to it. That's the channel that delivers the biggest new shows from the US. That still leaves Ultimate TV with quite a lot of ground to make up across the channels that it offers to justify the extra cost. Some of Sky's channels gives access to great shows: Sky Witness, for example, is loaded with dramas like The Good Doctor and Station 19, while Sky Comedy will keep you laughing with US shows. Sky Max and Sky Showcase replace what used to be Sky One (if you remember that) with access to shows like Brassic, A League of Their Own, SWAT and a whole lot more. That's loads of extra premium TV, day or night, that isn't offered on Essential TV. 'You can watch this live', but in some cases it's available to watch on demand too, as box sets. The Day Of The Jackal was a key show for Sky Atlantic. Both Sky services give customers access to all the major streaming services as well, but one of the big differences is that if viewers don't want to pay for another streaming service the Ultimate TV plan gives more streaming options than the Essential TV plan. Is it worth the extra £7 per month? That really depends on what you want to watch and how you watch it, but consider that it's only 23p a day extra. Given that Netflix is included, viewers can watch content on demand and have Sky Atlantic on both services, while Ultimate TV offers great value, there's no avoiding that Essential TV gives viewers access to a lot of great entertainment for less money. However, there are some things to be aware of. Article continues below The main one being cost increases. Despite Sky's ongoing sale the provider is not exempt from the ongoing mid-contract price rises, something which is effective a lot of UK consumers and retailers put up their prices in line with inflation. This is certainly a downside for shoppers looking to enter into one of Sky's fixed two-year contracts, potentially giving uncertainty to consumers on how much they'll be locked into paying. As the Sky site says below, both the Essential TV and Ultimate TV plans say: "Prices may change during the 24-month contract."
