Millie Mackintosh shares her makeup hack to get a ‘10 second facelift'
Millie Mackintosh has given fans a clever hack for lifting and sculpting your face using nothing but carefully placed makeup, with the trick said to give you a '10 second facelift' Although she's never been shy about sharing which cosmetic procedures she's had done, recently Millie Mackintosh showed fans how to achieve a sculpted, lifted without a single needle or filler in sight. The former Made in Chelsea star shared a video on Instagram where she teased: 'I'm having a facelift!' Before adding: 'But luckily, it only takes 10 seconds.' Using nothing but two different makeup products, Millie showed how some careful placement of contour and highlighter made her jawline and cheekbones look higher and tighter. Although she admitted the results were subtle, she did say she could see a difference in her face, with fans also agreeing that they could see a slight change in Millie's face after the contouring. Unlike the 2016 trend of harsh contouring across your whole face, Millie's 10 second hack involves a much more minimalist approach to contouring, placing a little concealer and a darker foundation around your jaw and cheekbones. To start the process, Millie applied the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Multi-Use Foundation Stick in a slightly darker shade to her skin tone down either side of her mouth towards her jaw, which helps create a tighter look. The Dior foundation stick is a splurge at £48, but if you want some more affordable options we also love the Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick from Charlotte Tilbury, which is £35 and has a blurring and smoothing finish. For an ultra budget-friendly pick, Kiko's Sculpting Touch Creamy Stick Contour is only £11.49 and is creamy and highly blendable, making it perfect for looks like this which require lots of blending. Once the contour was placed around her mouth, Millie then applied Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care and Glow Concealer in small dots to the middle of her chin, as well as placing them under her cheekbones. This helps to create the illusion of lift and brightness in those areas, making them more prominent and creating the 'facelift' look. Millie's go-to Lancôme concealer is currently 20% off in Debenhams' summer sale, slashing the price from £31 to £24.80. It also has a buildable medium coverage with a subtle glow, making it perfect for that radiant, summery look. To finish, Millie used Merit's Brush No 1 Blending Brush, £28, to carefully blend both the foundation and concealer into her skin. Thanks to the creamy nature of both beauty products they blurred together instantly, creating a natural-looking finish, saying: 'I think it's made a subtle difference.'

New beauty products that will give your skin a a glazed look
Glazed skin – very hydrated skin that looks smooth, shiny, glowy and glassy – has been hugely popular since 2022, and all manner of products like facial oils, clear lip glosses and even Vaseline have been used to achieve the look temporarily. But now we're seeing products come through that have been developed and marketed specifically to give a glazed appearance. The Guardian's journalism is independent. We will earn a commission if you buy something through an affiliate link. Learn more. Hailey Bieber's Rhode brand is really very good across the board, but her most viral product, Glazing Milk (£32) – a beautiful, ceramide-rich skincare essence designed to be sandwiched between cleansed skin and serum – went stratospheric after she appeared in a TikTok video mixing it with her Dior foundation to give the latter a lighter, glassy finish. I've tried this myself with the exact same products and it works well – coverage is lighter and skin looks almost laminated. Though a similar effect can be achieved for less money by using a dewy finish tinted moisturiser such as NYX Buttermilk Glaze Soft Glow Skin Tint SPF30 (£13.99, very little coverage) or MAC Strobe Dewy Skin Tint (more coverage, no sunscreen, £32). As someone who mostly applies makeup on the move, I tend to confine Glazing Milk to my skincare routine, but if you like to keep your product count low, its versatility will be welcome. For £35, Charlotte Tilbury's Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick (try saying that after downing three shots) is the glassiest finish base on the market, but while I love it (as do most of the fortysomethings I know), it is divisive. The clue really is in the name: skin looks so dewy, glowy and glazed as to be slightly implausible. You'd be forgiven for assuming the very light coverage would appear natural, but the glowy, pearlescent particles compensate for that and the overall effect on skin is of having benefitted from makeup. Which I don't mind, but if you'd like something more real-looking, Urban Decay's excellent new Face Bond Luminizer (£38) underneath your usual base will not only extend the wear of your makeup, but also provide a glazy, pearlescent glow that peeks through anything worn on top. It's particularly good for oily skins that may struggle to keep hold of anything glowy and have a tendency to make shiny products look greasy. This strikes just the right balance. If in doubt, check the ingredient list of any complexion product you're considering. Generally, the higher up it features glycerin or diglycerol, the more glazy the finish.
