New beauty products that will give your skin a a glazed look
Glazed skin – very hydrated skin that looks smooth, shiny, glowy and glassy – has been hugely popular since 2022, and all manner of products like facial oils, clear lip glosses and even Vaseline have been used to achieve the look temporarily. But now we're seeing products come through that have been developed and marketed specifically to give a glazed appearance.

Hailey Bieber's Rhode brand is really very good across the board, but her most viral product, Glazing Milk (£32) – a beautiful, ceramide-rich skincare essence designed to be sandwiched between cleansed skin and serum – went stratospheric after she appeared in a TikTok video mixing it with her Dior foundation to give the latter a lighter, glassy finish.
I've tried this myself with the exact same products and it works well – coverage is lighter and skin looks almost laminated. Though a similar effect can be achieved for less money by using a dewy finish tinted moisturiser such as NYX Buttermilk Glaze Soft Glow Skin Tint SPF30 (£13.99, very little coverage) or MAC Strobe Dewy Skin Tint (more coverage, no sunscreen, £32). As someone who mostly applies makeup on the move, I tend to confine Glazing Milk to my skincare routine, but if you like to keep your product count low, its versatility will be welcome.
For £35, Charlotte Tilbury's Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick (try saying that after downing three shots) is the glassiest finish base on the market, but while I love it (as do most of the fortysomethings I know), it is divisive.
The clue really is in the name: skin looks so dewy, glowy and glazed as to be slightly implausible. You'd be forgiven for assuming the very light coverage would appear natural, but the glowy, pearlescent particles compensate for that and the overall effect on skin is of having benefitted from makeup. Which I don't mind, but if you'd like something more real-looking, Urban Decay's excellent new Face Bond Luminizer (£38) underneath your usual base will not only extend the wear of your makeup, but also provide a glazy, pearlescent glow that peeks through anything worn on top.
It's particularly good for oily skins that may struggle to keep hold of anything glowy and have a tendency to make shiny products look greasy. This strikes just the right balance.
If in doubt, check the ingredient list of any complexion product you're considering. Generally, the higher up it features glycerin or diglycerol, the more glazy the finish.

Shop the fleece gilet that Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan owns in 2 colours
Harriet Cowan has become the standout star of season five of Clarkson's Farm, and her uniform fleece gilet is already being coveted by fans – so we tracked it down When on the lookout for fashion inspiration, you probably wouldn't think to head straight to Diddly Squat Farm, the location of Jeremy Clarkson 's Amazon Prime hit series Clarkson's Farm. However the arrival of new team member Harriet Cowan is about to change all that, as fans have already labelled her a fan favourite, not to mention been searching her social media for where to buy some of her outfits. And whilst Harriet's outfits are all done with practical farm life in mind, it seems this summer everyone's hoping to copy some of her country chic looks. One piece that's been a stand out is her fleece gilet, which has appeared in several scenes on the show, not to mention been spotted in multiple social media posts of hers posted prior to the show airing. In fact, Harriet loves the gilet so much she owns it in at least two colours. Whilst she's not mentioned the brand on her TikTok and Instagram posts, an eagle eyed look at her previous posts indicated it's most likely to be Schoffel's Lyndon Fleece Gilet. Although plenty of other outdoor brands have created their own versions, Schoffel's is considered the original blueprint for the look. It's also been worn by fellow Clarkson's Farm stars Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper, although they would have presumably opted for the men's Oakham version. Harriet appears to have both the navy and the forest green colours, and a close look at some of her TikTok videos shows the white writing detail on the front zip and Schoffel's signature brown trim. It also features an adjustable drawcord around the waist which lets you cinch it in for a little more shape. The technical fleece is soft, warm, breathable and hard wearing, making it perfect for being out in the British countryside, and is made from Italian-milled Pontetorto fleece. It's currently available in sizes 6 to 22 for £160, with 10 colours to choose from. Although there are TikTok videos of Harriet wearing the iconic fleece as far back as 2021, more recently, Harriet shared a new addition to her fleece gilet collection, posting that Beaumont and Bear had also gifted her a navy fleece with a similar design. There are also plenty of other options around, including Finisterre's Women's Hegen Wool Fleece Gilet which is £135 and comes in a light oatmeal colour. For bargain hunters, Craghoppers has slashed the price of its Women's Dinas Vest from £65 to £45.50. Meanwhile Regatta's currently has 50% off slashing it to £12.50. However for the true authentic countrywear look – and to follow in almost all of the Clarkson's Farm stars' footsteps, shop Schoffel's women's Lyndon Fleece Gilet and men's Oakham Fleece Gilet now.

Dog trainer explains how to tell if your pet loves you or just tolerates you
The expert shared the five signs that show your dog 'loves you' - and dozens of pet owners have weighed in. Owning a pet is no walk in the park. The mere thought of expensive vet bills could give anyone pause, yet the affection a pet can offer is priceless. But dogs have long held the title of humankind's best friend, with the bond between them and their owners truly remarkable. When a dog loves a human, it shows unwavering loyalty and affection. For owners though, one question posed by a dog trainer has stirred up quite the debate: 'Does your pet love or just tolerate you?' This is a matter of canine behaviour, as highlighted by well-known dog trainer Enric Rodriguez. He has pinpointed specific behaviours that reveal whether your relationship with your furry friend is built on genuine trust or simply revolves around you being their meal ticket, reports the Express. In a TikTok video, Enric says: "Trust is not earned with food alone but with safe and consistent experiences. Here are some clear signs that your dog trusts you. First, it looks for you when it doesn't feel safe. "If something scares it, it goes to you to feel safer. Second, it sleeps deeply near you." Enric points out, if your dog is at ease beside you, it shows genuine trust. Thirdly, if your pooch is happy being handled. "If it lets you touch its paws, ears, belly, it indicates that it feels comfortable with you. Does it pay attention to you even without food?" "That's a sign you mean more than just treats. Fifth, does it follow you without being called?" Your pet's attachment to you isn't necessarily due to anxiety but because it cherishes your presence. These subtle behaviours often reflect a bond formed with respect, patience, and consistency. In the comments section, pet owners were keen to share their own tales. One user confessed: "My puppy doesn't like me he wants to bite me all day long." Another shared their unique challenge: "Everything except not letting you touch his paws or ears because!!!" A third disclosed: "Hello! I have a 1-year-and-2-month-old dog with serious separation anxiety issues. He cries when he's alone, and even if I lock myself in a room, he'll eat anything when he's alone.." Yet, amidst the struggles, some comments reflected happier experiences. One person described a content scene: "Mine is currently lying on the sofa at my feet, belly up, and the lady is snoring." And another added a note of affection with a hint of humour: "My Chihuahua meets all the points mentioned in the video, so I deduce that he loves me. Of course, if he's resting and I try to pick him up, he gets aggressive, and if he's snuggled up with my mother, even more so." According to the study, a dog's heart rate increases by 46.2 percent when they hear the words "I love you."
