Is Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.3 update delayed?
It was an update that made Cyberpunk 2077 what it is really today. That update was the version 2.0 which really gave the CD Projekt Red title a new life. After the release of this highly anticipated open-world title, the game was devastated with bugs and optimization issues. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now However, three years later everything changed after update 2.0 was dropped alongside with the Phantom Liberty expansion. After that time, two more updates have been launched, and people are eagerly waiting for the version 2.3 update, but it seems they have to wait a bit longer. CD Projekt Red delays Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.3 update CD Projekt Red first announced Patch 2.3 on June 5, 2025,, targeting a June 26 launch date. However, that isn't going to happen because the developer has recently announced a delay for this particular patch. On Twitter, the official handle of the game has stated that it will 'need some more time' to make sure that the developers are happy and satisfied about the patch. We also didn't get an exact date of this update's release, which makes this news even more disappointing. However, CD Projekt Red promised that it is 'aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2.' Now what does it mean? The version 2.3 update was initially believed to feature no additional content or DLC, just some major bug fixes, along with UI improvements. There were rumors that the upcoming update would add some polished NPC behaviours and new repeatable gigs, but nothing was confirmed. Now, as per CD Projekt Red's promise, we might see content additions via this upcoming update, similar to the Version 2.2 update. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 was released on December 10, 2024, in line with the game's 4th anniversary. It brought a lot of substantial additions to the game, especially an overhaul transformation to the character customization option. Besides this, the Photo Mode, Vehicle Customization all got significant upgrades. It also added the Balatro collaboration quest. So, we hope this sudden delay is worth a wait. Read More:

‘Cyberpunk 2077' Delays 2.3 Patch, Reveals How Big It Is
Cyberpunk 2077 Players should not really be expecting any more Cyberpunk 2077 patches at this point, so we cannot be too sad when they're delayed. A newly announced one, Update 2.3, was set to come out this Thursday on June 26, but now that's been pushed to some new unspecified date. While CDPR has confirmed its existence, we have not gotten any more details past that about what it will add to Cyberpunk 2077. But this new post at least says how big it's going to be, as it's 'aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2.' As a refresher regarding the size of Update 2.2, we can flash back to when that went live on December 10, 2024, on the three-year anniversary of the release of the base game. Now, we're six months past that, and it appears a (successful, by all accounts) Nintendo Switch launch will be in conjunction with this new patch. So maybe don't blaze through the game until we know what's being added here. Cyberpunk 2077 To be clear, these are not huge updates in terms of missions or questlines. Rather, they're mostly quality-of-life updates, fun new additions and other things of that nature. Flashing back to 2.2, we had: Patch 2.1 was more robust, and 2.3 may not be this big. It had: If quests are added, they're somewhat secret, and the community will have to dig them up. But yes, 2.2 was largely cosmetic, based on character customization, photo mode and car paint. And some fairly random things, like Johnny as a passenger. I do find myself wondering if these updates may now start teasing the upcoming Cyberpunk sequel in subtle ways, no matter how many years away it still might be. The game will move beyond solely Night City, and indications are it may take place in a quarantined, lawless version of Chicago that will be a contrast to the glamour of Night City. We don't know when we'll get a preview of 2.3 or when it will arrive. I was looking forward to it, but I suppose there's now Death Stranding 2 to play.
