Delhi to Patna in Just 3 hours, Indian Railways set to bring THIS new train, not Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Vande Bharat, top speed to be...

Image for representational purposes Vande Bharat and Rajdhani Express: The Indian Railway has seen a massive transformation under the Narendra Modi government. In the last 10 years, the government implemented a slew of changes that have made the travelling experience of the passengers convenient and comfortable. Several luxurious trains have been introduced, significantly cutting down travel time between states. These trains have been well-received by the public. Now, according to the reports, the Indian Railways is working tirelessly on the bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Preparation to Launch MHHSR Indian Railways is likely to inaugurate the Mumbai-Hyderabad High-Speed Rail (MHHSR) project soon. Once completed, the travel time between Mumbai and Hyderabad—currently 14 to 16 hours—will be reduced to just three hours. According to the reports, the 767-kilometer-long bullet train corridor will connect Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad. It will include 11 stations, with the Navi Mumbai International Airport likely to be one of them. Here are some of the key features of the train: The train will have a speed of 320 km/h, with a maximum capability of reaching up to 350 km/h. It will be equipped with an earthquake detection system (UrEDAS), digital signaling, and a mixed track system (including elevated, underground, and level tracks). As for ticket pricing, it will be about one and a half times more than a first-class AC train—premium, yet affordable. This is one of six high-speed railway corridors being developed in the country. It is important to note that the construction work on this project has not yet begun. However, surveys, studies, and route planning are currently underway. Work is already in progress on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad line. Once operational, this train will boost tourism, reduce road congestion, and enhance the overall level of rail travel. 17-hour journey will now be completed in just 3 hours To recall, it was earlier reported that the Indian Railways is preparing to launch a bullet train service on the Delhi-Howrah route. With the high-speed train, travel time will be reduced from 17 hours to just three hours. The Delhi-Howrah bullet train will pass through stations like Buxar, Patna, and Gaya. Dedicated bullet train stations will be constructed in these districts, making the journey more convenient for passengers. The train will start from Delhi, pass through Buxar, Patna, and Gaya, then head to Varanasi, and finally reach Howrah. This means the journey to Patna will take only about two and a half to three hours.

Delhi to Amritsar in less than 2 hours, it will be possible with..., operational speed of trains...

(Representational image) New Delhi: The Indian Railways is working on enhancing connectivity between major cities in Northern India through the Delhi-Amritsar train route for which the proposed Delhi-Amritsar High Speed Rail (DAMHSR) project aims to establish a 465-kilometre rail line connecting Delhi, Chandigarh, and Amritsar. This line will have 13 stations across Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. The DAMHSR project was started by the Government of India in 2019 and is one of six new high-speed rail corridors aimed at improving transportation efficiency. The tender related formalities started in October 2020. The project is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Delhi and Amritsar with a maximum speed of 350 kilometres per hour and an operational speed of 320 kilometres per hour while the average speed during operations will be approximately 250 kilometres per hour. With this rail, the travel time between Delhi and Amritsar is expected to be one hour and fifty-2 minutes. Route and Stations The Delhi Amritsar Train will include a mix of elevated, underground, and at-grade sections. The route will primarily follow a greenfield alignment through central Haryana, partially paralleling the existing Delhi – Amritsar – Katra Expressway. The line will serve the following stations: – Delhi – Asaudha – Rohtak – Jind – Kaithal – Sangrur – Malerkotla – Ludhiana – Jalandhar – Amritsar Additionally, a spur line will connect Sangrur, Patiala, Rajpura, and Chandigarh. Fare Structure The fare is expected to be set around at 1.5 times the current first-class AC fare on Indian Railways. The final fare details will be announced closer to the commencement of commercial operations. This will be done to provide clarity for future passengers traveling from Delhi to Amritsar. This project is being supervised by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL). Other key players include Magnitude Consortium, PK Engineers, and APECO Infrastructure India Pvt. Ltd., among others. These contractors look after data collection, ridership studies, and environmental assessments to ensure the project meets all regulatory and safety standards. The trains on the DAMHSR project will be equipped with an Urgent Earthquake Detection and Alarm System (UrEDAS) that automatically activates braking systems in the event of an earthquake. This feature aims to enhance passenger safety during travel.
