Saiyaara ko helmet pehnaaye: Uttar Pradesh Police's viral warning on X states mohabbat mein safety zaroori hai

Love is important, but safety is more important, okay? Don't believe us, but believe the police who have made this official — and viral. The viral bike scenes from Saiyaara have been turned into a cautionary tale (and meme!) by Uttar Pradesh Police on X (formerly Twitter) In possibly the most Gen Z and millennial crossover we didn't know we needed, Uttar Pradesh Police has jumped onto the #SaiyaaraFever and used it to serve some helmet-waale life gyaan! Their latest post on X (formerly Twitter) features a helmet-friendly spin on Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's now-iconic scene from Mohit Suri's emo-romantic blockbuster that's been making Gen Z cry into their popcorn. What happened UP Police took a scene where the characters of Ahaan and Aneet — Krish Kapoor and Vaani Batra — are holding helmets, turning it into a full-blown road safety advisory. Think red helmet in Aneet's hand, white one magically placed on Ahaan's bike — all digitally edited in, of course. They even captioned it with their now-famous line: 'Helmet peheniye, Saiyaara ko bhi pehnaiye, warna romance se pehle hi roadmap badal sakta hai. Mohabbat mein safety zaroori hai.' Yes, they said it. Safety. Zaroori. In. Love. And Delhiites (and the rest of the Internet) are loving it! UP Police rocks, Saiyaaras shocked, say X users Social media users took it on the chin, with major applause for the police's creative department. 'We should appreciate UP Police's creativity,' wrote one user, as another posted: 'Got to give credit to UP Police. They dug up something from nowhere.' One user even took a jibe, 'Helmet for both the heads, safety and protection both are very important.' Touché. And another jokingly asked, 'Agar Saiyaara na ho toh bhi helmet zaroori hai?' *user cries in single* Meanwhile in theatres… While UP Police was editing helmets, fans have taken it to a whole other level of emotional commitment. The film, which many are comparing to Aashiqui 2 (2013) and Rockstar (2011), has become a full-blown capsule complete with heartbreak, longing, and redemption arcs that have even the most jaded Delhi boys becoming love paglus. Such is the craze that the OG Aashiqui 2 girl, Shraddha Kapoor, went: 'Saiyaara se Aashiqui ho gayi hai mujhe!' Uff, we say! Shraddha Kapoor's Instagram Stories praising the film(Screengrabs: Instagram) And right from Uttar Pradesh's Sardhana, we got this IV drip-fuelled gem: Need we say more? The storm so far Saiyaara surpassed Aashiqui 2's lifetime collection in just four days! And by day 7, it has crossed the ₹150 crore mark. With its massive appeal to all the aashiq types among Gen Z, Millennials, and even Gen X, this film has given us viral tears, viral memes, and now... viral helmets! But as UP Police said, take it as a cautionary tale. Because what's romance without a little road sense? For more, follow @

"Helmet Peheniye, Saiyaara Ko Bhi Pehnaiye ": UP Police's Twist On Blockbuster Scene Wins Internet

The Uttar Pradesh Police have turned a viral moment from the film Saiyaara into a helmet safety advisory. Directed by Mohit Suri and starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the romantic musical has become a nationwide sensation. In a post shared on X, the UP police borrowed a scene from the film to promote the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers. The scene shows Ahaan sitting on his motorcycle while Aneet walks away. Right before she leaves, Ahaan grabs her hand and says, "I have a little more time." The UP Police paused the clip to digitally edit helmets into the frame. A red one in Aneet's hand and a white helmet placed on Ahaan's bike. The overlay text read, 'When your Saiyaara starts to leave without a helmet, wear one to make those precious moments last longer. Whether you are alone or with your Saiyaara, always wear a helmet.' ' Savdhani hati, durghatna ghati. ' (A lapse in caution leads to disaster.) " Helmet peheniye, Saiyaara ko bhi pehnaiye.(Wear a helmet, make Saiyaara wear one too)," they wrote. "Otherwise, the roadmap might change before the romance even begins. Safety is essential in love." They added the hashtag " Saiyaara with helmet." हेलमेट पहनिए, सैयारा को भी पहनाइए… वरना रोमांस से पहले ही रोडमैप बदल सकता है। ???? मोहब्बत में सेफ्टी ज़रूरी है! #RoadSafety #SaiyaaraWithHelmet #Saiyaara — UP POLICE (@Uppolice) July 23, 2025 The post soon went viral. A user quoted the UP police, "Safety is essential in love!" Another wrote, "UP police rocked. Saiyaara shocked. Good work @UPpolice." "UP police got no chill," a comment read. Over the last week, Saiyaara has emerged as a surprise blockbuster. Within its first six days, the film grossed over Rs 150 crore, following a record-breaking opening weekend of Rs 83 crore. This places it among the top-grossing Hindi films of 2025 so far, overtaking big-budget titles like Kesari 2 and Jaat. The film has struck a chord especially with Gen Z audiences. Audiences have praised the chemistry between the fresh-faced leads and the emotionally rich storytelling, a hallmark of Mohit Suri's filmography.

UP Police Arrests 14 People, Busts Unlawful Religious Conversion Syndicate

Agra: The Uttar Pradesh Police have made significant strides in cracking down on unlawful religious conversions, arresting 14 individuals involved in a syndicate operating across multiple states. This operation is part of Mission Asmita, a flagship initiative launched by the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government to identify and eliminate threats linked to illegal religious conversions and radicalisation. Three more individuals were arrested on Wednesday, bringing the total number of arrests to 14. The accused include Junaid Qureshi, who allegedly married a woman after forcefully converting her. Speaking to the media, Agra Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar said, "One of the victims, found under Mission Asmita, gave a statement in front of the magistrate that she was forcefully converted. Junaid Qureshi, who married her inappropriately, has been arrested along with two others by the police. A total of 14 people have been arrested in the case. We have sent our teams to the Qazi who facilitated the weddings. The three accused have told that this is their work and their wives are also converted. We have recovered some suspicious materials along with mobile phone and SIM cards. The accused confessed that he went across the country for this work and he undertook many trips to Kashmir, Nepal, Bhutan, and West Bengal." The arrested individuals are well-educated and proficient in several languages. Police are investigating their money transactions and potential ties to other extremist outfits. "Police are also trying to find out the details on their money transactions," he said. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Police arrested 10 individuals across six states in a crackdown on an unlawful religious conversion syndicate. The UP Police on July 19 held a press conference to provide information about the syndicate. The operation was led by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Special Task Force (STF), with support from central intelligence agencies. Investigations have uncovered foreign funding from Canada, the US, London, and Dubai, with links to radicalisation and terror groups like PFI, SDPI, and Pakistani terror organisations. Key accused Mohammad Umar Gautam, Mufti Jahangir Alam Qasmi, and Chhangur Baba alias Jamaluddin were apprehended for orchestrating conversions through enticement and "love jihad," targeting young girls. The accused used enticement and "love jihad" to target young girls, mirroring ISIS tactics. They have confessed to travelling across the country for this work, including trips to Kashmir, Nepal, Bhutan, and West Bengal. During the press conference, Uttar Pradesh DGP Rajeev Krishna stated, "UP Police had launched Mission Asmita, where a few accused of the unlawful religious conversion syndicate were arrested. The ATS arrested Mohammad Umar Gautam and Mufti Jahangir Alam Qasmi. In this connection, the unlawful religious conversion syndicate of Chhangur Baba alias Jamaluddin alias Jamaluddin was busted. The ATS and STF investigations are underway. Few shocking things have come to light - international 'jihadi' funding for 'jihad' was received, radicalisation and unlawful religious conversion to hamper national security..." Investigators have found digital evidence of religious indoctrination, including extremist videos and hate sermons, on the victims' devices. The network may have overlaps with previous radicalisation cases detected in states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. He further added, "In this connection, 10 people across 6 states have been arrested. They especially influenced young girls through enticement, love jihad and other methods for religious conversion. This modus operandi of unlawful religious conversion is the signature of ISIS. So far, in preliminary investigation, there are indications of this group having ties with PFI, SDPI and Pakistani terror far, evidence has been gathered about funding from Canada, America, London and Dubai and involvement of people residing there. Further action is being taken." In a related case, Agra Police arrested 10 individuals following a missing persons report of two sisters, Ameena (33) and Zoya (18), in March 2025. The case, registered under BNS sections and the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, revealed a network promoting radicalisation and conversions through foreign funds.
