Ungaludan Stalin camps launched in Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts
The first camp under the 'Ungaludan Stalin' initiative in Coimbatore district was launched by District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar at Kamatchi Amman Kalyana Mandapam in Vadavalli on Tuesday. The event follows the formal inauguration of the State-wide programme by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at Chidambaram Municipality in Cuddalore district.
The Collector received petitions from the public during the camp. Coimbatore MP Ganapathi P. Rajkumar, Mayor K. Ranganayaki, City Police Commissioner A. Saravana Sundar, and Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran were present.
As part of the first phase, six camps were held at Kamatchi Amman Kalyana Mandapam in Vadavalli for residents of Wards 36 and 39 in the Corporation's West Zone; Kongu Kalyana Mandapam in Karumathampatti Municipality; Saravana Mahal in Alandurai Town Panchayat; Senthoor Mahal in Anaimalai Village Panchayat; VPRC Hall in Akkarai Sengampalli, Annur and Divya Mahal in Malumichampatti.
A total of 43 services from 13 departments are being offered in urban camps, while 46 services from 15 departments are available in rural areas. Medical camps are also being held to provide basic health services to attendees.
Women, who are eligible but missed applying for the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam, may submit their applications at these camps. Application forms for this scheme are available only at the 'Ungaludan Stalin' camps. All applications received through the camps will be processed within 45 days.
The Collector urged the public to make use of the opportunity and attend the camps in their localities with the necessary documents to submit their petitions.
In Tiruppur, Minister for Human Resources Management N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj visited multiple camps held in the district under the scheme. The Minister reviewed the functioning of camps held at the Government Primary School in Kannivadi Town Panchayat, SGM Marriage Hall in Edakkalpadi (under Mulanur Panchayat Union), and Vasavi Mahal in Dharapuram Municipality.
