Vail Resorts Parts Ways With CEO Kirsten Lynch

Following a tumultuous season that included a lengthy ski patrol strike in Park City, Utah and a public outcry for the firing of their leadership, Vail Resorts has confirmed today, May 27, 2025 that they have parted ways with CEO Kirsten previously served as Vail Resort's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) before being appointed CEO three and a half years ago. She has been replaced by her predecessor Rob Katz, according to the press released shared with POWDER."As Vail Resorts continues to execute its strategic priorities and transformational initiatives, the Board believes now is the right time for this leadership transition," said Bruce Sewell, Lead Independent Director of Vail Resort's Board of will serve as Strategic Advisor to Katz during the previous term as CEO from 2006 to 2021 was one of Vail Resorts' most successful in terms of finances, acquisitions, and stability.
