Heart Eyes OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding's rom-com horror film online
Heart Eyes OTT Release Date: Love, laughter… and murder? That's the twist this film brings to the screen - a Valentine's Day-themed rom-com with a sharp, slasher edge. After a theatrical release in February 2025 and a digital rollout in March, this quirky horror-romance is finally heading to a mega screening. Mark your calendars, Heart Eyes will be available to stream on Netflix starting May 8, 2025. A killer twist on love Directed by Josh Ruben (Scare Me, Werewolves Within), Heart Eyes turns the typical romantic comedy on its head by adding a serial killer into the mix. Set around Valentine's Day, the story follows the rise of a masked murderer known as the Heart Eyes Killer, who has been haunting the holiday for years by stalking and killing romantic couples. This year, the horror continues… but not without a dose of romance and charm. At the centre of the chaos are Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding, who play an unlikely couple thrown together by fate and fear. What starts as a chance romantic spark quickly turns into a wild survival ride as they try to stay alive and, maybe, fall in love in the process. This film brings together a solid cast including Olivia Holt (Cruel Summer, Kickin' It), Mason Gooding (Scream VI, Love, Victor), Gigi Zumbado, Jordana Brewster, and Devon Sawa, among others. Some reports suggest that Netflix streaming will be available only in the US, and if that happens, regions in Asia will get the film around May/June 2025, while other countries may have to wait up to a year or more. Box office and reception While Heart Eyes didn't break records at the box office, it did quite well considering its $18 million budget, earning $33 million worldwide. What really helped the movie shine was word of mouth and strong critical reception. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a critic score of 81% and an audience score of 77%—a clear sign that both horror fans and rom-com lovers found something to enjoy. Over on IMDb, it sits at a 6.1/10, reflecting mixed but mostly positive reactions. Critics appreciated how the film embraced both genres without taking itself too seriously. As one reviewer put it: 'It's a rom-com that knows it's fighting for attention—and it wins by having fun with itself.'

‘The Amazing Race' Host Phil Keoghan Wants to Add a Romantic Twist – With Help From Drew Barrymore and Reese Witherspoon
It's no secret that Drew Barrymore and Reese Witherspoon know a thing or two when it comes to romance. That's why when the romcom royals pitched a romantic twist for a future season of 'The Amazing Race,' host Phil Keoghan was all ears. While teasing Season 37 of the CBS competition series, Keoghan revealed how the actress' idea for a Valentine's Day-themed season echoed a twist he's long had in mind himself. 'I ran into Drew Barrymore and Reese Witherspoon in a bar in New York like a week, two weeks ago. I knew Drew because I did 'Hollywood Squares' with her and I've met her a few times,' he told TheWrap. 'They both stopped me and they were like, 'Hey, have you ever thought about a Valentine's season?' and then I said, 'Well, are you guys offering to be on the show?'' 'It's definitely something that we have talked about,' Keoghan explained. 'I have a particular idea for how to do it, where it would literally be people traveling under the stress of going around the world, but also really looking for love. We would have people who we know are into it because of doing a bit of research beforehand about what kinds of people they like, what kind of partner they like. Personally, I think it would be a fun show to watch.' It's worth noting 'The Amazing Race' already implemented a blind date twist back in Season 26, though those five pairs were matched without full compatibility taken into account (Season 29 similarly paired strangers together, albeit without strings attached). 'I think it's such a big part of the zeitgeist — dating and online dating and trying to find the right partner, and then figuring out whether you're compatible,' Keoghan continued. 'Maybe we can convince Reese and Drew to be a female team, but then they're looking for partners.' Outside of the CBS trifecta, past Racers like Boston Rob Mariano, Britney Haynes, Janelle Pierzina and Rachel Reilly have all appeared on 'The Traitors' … but there has yet to be an 'Amazing Race'-first contestant on the Peacock competition series. Naturally, Keoghan would like to see that change, so he hand-picked whom he thinks would be good representation for 'TAR' in Alan Cumming's Scottish castle: Jet and Cord, Kent and Vyxsin, Jen and Kisha or Ricky and Cesar. 'The Amazing Race' Season 37 premieres Wednesday, March 5, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streams the next day on Paramount+. The post 'The Amazing Race' Host Phil Keoghan Wants to Add a Romantic Twist – With Help From Drew Barrymore and Reese Witherspoon appeared first on TheWrap.

‘Sweet' was the theme of Morton Grove Valentine's Day community events
Dozens of girls were escorted by their dad or other male to the annual 'My Little Sweetheart Dance' earlier this month at Morton Grove Civic Center. '' 'It's a nice event to have a special night with a parent and child,' said Claire Baumgartner, recreation supervisor for the Morton Grove Park District, which sponsored the event. 'You get some one-on-one time with your child so they can feel special for a night. It's just nice to get dressed up and go dancing.' According to Baumgartner, new additions to the dance included giving out glow sticks at the end of the night and having sponsor Play and Spin onsite with giveaways, including candy and game cards for activities at the Niles family-friendly entertainment center. She said My Little Sweetheart Dance included a dinner of chicken, French fries, salad and mostaccioli – all provided by local restaurants – and, of course, music. The 77 registrants this year were comparable to the approximately 80 dance attendees in 2024, Baumgartner said. Attendees, who came from Morton Grove and surrounding towns, each received a goody bag with Valentine's Day-themed items including pencils, bracelets, candy and temporary tattoos. 'It's a longstanding event so people know it's a lot of fun,' she said. Activities included games such as limbo and freeze. There was also a contest to guess how many Starburst candies were in a jar. Baumgartner said Morton Grove resident Mattie Speilburg, 8, won the candy-filled jar after guessing 63, which was closest to the actual number of 62. Valentine's was celebrated for more than a day in Morton Grove. Baumgartner said a new event was the holiday-themed Paint N Snack on Feb. 8 at Prairie View Community Center to celebrate Galentine's Day with friends. There, Lena Roy led nine attendees in painting a tree with red and pink flowers. Snacks included cheese and crackers, fruit and brownies. 'We thought a Paint N Snack would be fun so we decided to do it once a month,' said Baumgartner, who explained that the inaugural session was in January and the next one is on March 15. The annual Valentine Cake Decorating returned Feb. 13 at Prairie View Community Center. Participants received six mini heart-shaped cakes. The approximately 18 attendees were mostly Morton Grove residents between the ages of 3 and 6 accompanied by their parents. 'I brought in icing, some tips to be able to make designs in the icing, colored sprinkles, Sweethearts candies with the words on them, M&M's and a bunch of different stuff to decorate with,' said Baumgartner.
