Bruins draft Swedish puck-moving defenseman at No. 61
BOSTON — After taking Boston College players with their first two picks, the Bruins moved a little further away for their third one.
They took left-shot defenseman Liam Pettersson, a 6-foor-2, 170-pound puck-moving defenseman from Vaxjo Jr. in Sweden with the 61st overall pick in the NHL Draft.

Elite Prospects described him as:
'A treat to watch when he has the puck on his stick. He is a shifty skater with slick mobility in all directions and combines it well with smooth, deceptive hands. He keeps his transition play clean, breaking the puck out effectively through cross-lane feeds and executing stretch passes with ease.'
The pick originally belonged to Carolina, but the Bruins got it from Colorado in their deadline deal that sent Charlie Coyle to the Avalanche.
The Bruins picked a defenseman after taking centers with their first two selections - James Hagens at No. 7 and William Moore at No 51.
