‘General Hospital' star Kin Shriner reveals ‘botched' foot surgery left him unable to walk
Kin Shriner is detailing a scary health incident. The 'General Hospital' star, 71, took to social media on June 30 to share an update on his life, almost a year after leaving the long-running soap opera in August 2024. '[A] year ago tomorrow, I had some arrogant surgeon give me a subtalar fusion,' Shriner began in the video posted to X. 'And he botched it.' 12 Kin Shriner discusses his recovery from botched foot surgery. @ kinshriner/X The surgery is most commonly performed to treat severe arthritis of the foot. The procedure involves permanently fusing the bones in the subtalar joint, as per the Cleveland Clinic. 'So for six months, I basically couldn't walk,' continued Shriner. 'So then John Stamos, my good pal, sent me over to his guy at Cedars Sinai. He redid it.' Stamos played Blackie Parrish on the soap from 1982 to 1984. Now, the 'Port Charles' vet is on the mend. 12 Kin Shriner gets candid on foot surgery. @ kinshriner/Instagram 12 Kin Shriner is rehabbing his foot. @ kinshriner/Instagram 'So I'm down here in old Fort Lauderdale rehabbing this foot, every day,' Shriner explained. 'Every day so that I can get mobile.' 'I'm getting attendance records at this Powerhouse Gym,' he shared. 'You gotta get it back. Something goes wrong, you fix it. Or you try to. Anyway, that's what I've been up to.' Before signing off, Shriner promised fans another update in the future, 'So stay tuned. I will be mobile soon. Very soon.' 12 Lynn Herring, Kin Shriner on 'General Hospital' in 1990. ©ABC/Courtesy Everett Collection The 'Vendetta' alum captioned the footage, 'News flash from Fla Scotty @GeneralHospital not just eating glazed donuts he working hard to fix foot and get back to Vespa and all other things !!!!!!' Shriner played the iconic Scott Baldwin in over 1,700 episodes of 'General Hospital' from 1977 to 2024. He reprised his role on the short-lived spin-off, 'Port Charles,' from 1997 to 2002. Then, days later, Shiner wrote beneath a shot of Peter Hansen and Susan Brown, who played his on-screen parents: '2 of the many actors that made it possible for me to have a 47 year run on @GeneralHospital and 7 other soaps. Kelly Monaco, who starred as Sam McCall from 2003 to 2024, blasted the soap in August when they fired her after 21 years, claiming it was 'retaliation.' Shortly after, Brooklyn Rae Silzer, who portrayed Emma Drake for 13 years, was replaced by Braedyn Bruner. 12 Kin Shriver shares pictures on X. @ kinshriner/X Then, Leslie Charleson — who played Dr. Monica Quartermaine for almost 50 years — passed away from blunt force trauma in January. In February, Cassandra James, who plays Dr. Terry Randolph, told The Post, 'We're all really saddened by the loss. And, to be honest, my favorite thing about Leslie is she had a really wonderful sense of humor.'

5 hardest missions in Call of Duty games
Image via Activision. Since the beginning of this franchise, Call of Duty has given us innumerable Campaign missions. The modern generation of CoD might be obsessed with Multiplayer and Zombies modes, but still today, Campaign remains the most sought after aspect of the franchise, no matter how hard it is. However, there are some Campaign missions which still give nightmares to the fans. Top 5 hardest Call of Duty missions of all time The HARDEST Mission in Every Call of Duty From 2003 to 2024, Call of Duty has released over 20 titles now. There are even rumors regarding CoD 2025 and 2026 as well. With this bunch of titles, Activision has given us hundreds of Campaign missions. Let's take a look at the toughest of those: by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Secure Your Child's Future with Strong English Fluency Planet Spark Learn More Undo 5. Loose Ends - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Not just technically, but also emotionally, this mission is arguably the hardest. You have played this mission in your childhood days, you might have already realized at an early age how betrayal from your close person looks like. Yes, this is the infamous mission where the commanding Officer of Task Force 141, Lieutenant General Shepherd, will kill two of the most loved characters of the game, that too in a brutal way. After escaping an enemy ambush you have to clear a cabin where you have to set up the DSM to download required info and then comes the enemy hoards. Until the whole download process gets finished, you won't have any clue from where the enemy waves are coming. After barely surviving this massacre, you have to hand over that DSM to Shepherd, only to get burned on the spot. This mission might not be the toughest to complete, but has to be the toughest to overcome that scene, which is right now popping in your head. 4. Vendetta - Call of Duty: World at War Unlike the other missions, where you had to survive hoards of enemy waves, in Vendetta, your mission was to survive, just survive. In this mission, you are all alone with Sgt. Reznov with whom you have to sneak through the German soldiers to finally kill General Amsel. The major highlight of this whole mission is the 'cat and mouse' like sniper battle between you and an enemy soldier from a far building. Completing this battle in Hardened mode is almost impossible because all you get is the flash of your enemy's scope to kill him. In the hardest difficulty, that flash just for a second, and even before that disappears, you will be killed. Even if you survive this, you will still have to provide sniper cover fire to your comrades, and ultimately kill General Amsel. 3. Dust to Dust - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 This is the final mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 where Yuri and Captain Price will embark upon a one-way out journey to kill Makarov, the central antagonist of the trilogy. Initially the mission will feel a lot easier as you and Price will be stacked up in Juggernaut suits with LMGs in your hands. However, try to play this mission in Veteran or Hardened modes, and will barely be able to cross the enemy flocks. Even if you do, the luxury of wearing those suits won't be long as an enemy chopper will blast off your elevators, destroying the Juggernaut suits and almost burning Yuri. The mission will become more daunting after you leave your suits as there is no stoppage of enemy waves. Again you will have to get over with another emotional barrier when Yuri dies in the hands of Makarov. However, you can't pause and mourn his death as you have to chase Makarov down where you will finish him off in one of the most cinematic and enthralling battle scenes of the franchise. 2. All Ghillied Up - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Just like Vendetta in World at War, this mission is all about proper resilience and patience. One wrong step, and you are gone. All Ghillied Up might be the most popular missions of Call of Duty, as it literally changed the course of the game. Unlike typical Call of Duty battle frenzy experience, this mission was all about stealth. Not just sneaking through, you literally have to lie down under the approaching enemy armies and tanks with your Ghillie suits and let them pass. You even don't have any other path because choosing other ways to progress will lead you to death by radioactive poisoning. After sneaking through and settling in a safe building, you can't let go of your disguise as it's impossible to complete this mission with all guns blazing, because no matter how much you defend yourself, you are gonna get killed eventually. And if you hate dogs, then please don't play this mission. 1. One Shot, One Kill - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Who doesn't remember this mission? The Ferris wheel in this scene still gives the OG players nightmares. The main objective of the mission was to kill the central antagonist of the game, Imran Zakhaev. Playing as Captain Price, you have to set yourself up in a building at a perfect sniping spot. There, you have to shoot Zakhaev from far, keeping in mind the direction of the air. However, you will only be able to chop Zakhaev's hand as he will eventually escape. If this sounds tough to you, then don't play this level, because what's tough, is after that. You first have to shoot down a pilot of an attacking chopper. Then after reaching the extraction point, you have to defend Captain McMillan and yourself with just a sniper rifle and USP. 45 pistol until the rescuing chopper shows up. And do you know the fun part? Capt. McMillan's leg will be injured in the middle of the mission, so he won't be able to move and you have to protect him as well. Danny Dyer's 'best performance' is in film 'you've probably never seen'
Danny Dyer is the centre of attention this week, as he's set to appear in a new episode of ITV's The Assembly, and fans can also check out one of his most action-packed films Fans of Danny Dyer have something to look forward to as the actor is set to appear on ITV's The Assembly tonight. In the episode featuring Dyer, his media training will be put to the test by a panel of neurodivergent, autistic, and/or learning disabled interviewers, who will pose challenging questions to the celebrity guests. A recently released trailer revealed the show's air date and featured Dyer, along with other celebrities like David Tennant, Gary Lineker, and Jade Thirlwall. The Assembly will feature tough, no-holds-barred questioning, with examples such as "How working class was it to send your son to a private school?" directed at Dyer, "Does the BBC know you're here?" aimed at Lineker, and other probing queries, such as "Do you get trapped wind?" and "Do you believe in God?". Dyer's episode airs on ITV1 at 10:05pm, followed by David Tennant's on April 27 at 10pm. Those eager to see more of the EastEnders star can catch him in a lesser-known action film on Amazon Prime Video. In the 2013 British action-thriller Vendetta, Dyer plays Jimmy Vickers, a Special Ops interrogation officer who tracks down and exacts revenge on a gang that brutally murdered his parents, all while evading capture by the police and his former unit, reports Surrey Live. Released in UK cinemas on November 22, 2013, Vendetta went on to become the highest-grossing Danny Dyer film since Dead Man Running. However, it may not be to everyone's taste, given its 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 12 critic reviews. Critical reception was largely negative, with one reviewer simply saying "Dear me", while another sarcastically stated: "Danny Dyer proves he's a brilliant actor in a heartbreaking work of staggering genius. Just kidding." Another scathing review described the film as "No 12 months at the cinema would be complete without something jaw-droppingly awful starring Danny Dyer." However, some critics were more positive, calling the film "surprisingly decent". Audiences were also divided, but one reviewer called it Dyer's best work yet, saying: "Pleasantly surprised by this one. Danny Dyer gives the best performance I've seen from him, as he leads an action-packed film which includes some interesting deaths. It is also shot well and paces itself nicely." Another audience member praised the film as a straightforward action movie, saying: "Outright action movie. If you're not looking for needless drama, perfect for watching some unadulterated killing. No needless deaths, no droves of bad guys. Felt a bit like Taken, except he had time to do his killing and was creative with every one of them." The film has sparked a divide between critics and fans, with one viewer raving: "If you believe in revenge against scumbags then this is it, brilliant film, loved it. Well done Danny Dyer, just wish this would happen more in real life." Another was equally enthused, saying: "Wow, what a flick. Great story. Danny Dyer at his best, looks like there may be a 2nd. It's a great story, great cast, and an awesome movie 10/10."

Danny Dyer hailed for 'best performance' in surprise action movie
Fans of Danny Dyer are in for a treat as the English actor is set to appear on ITV's The Assembly tonight. The episode, centred around Dyer, will see him put through his paces as he's questioned by a group of neurodivergent, autistic, and/or learning disabled interviewers. A new trailer for the show has recently been released, confirming the series' air date. The Assembly will feature celebrities like Danny Dyer, David Tennant, Gary Lineker, and Jade Thirlwall being interviewed by the group in an unrestricted format with questions such as "How working class was it to send your son to a private school?" aimed at Dyer, "Does the BBC know you're here?" thrown at Lineker, and generally invasive prompts ranging from "Do you get trapped wind?" to "Do you believe in God?". Danny Dyer's episode will be broadcast on ITV1 at 10:05pm - followed by David Tennant's on April 27 at 10pm - but that's not the only place you can catch the East Londoner. For those wanting more of The Business star, a lesser-known action film featuring the actor can also be streamed on Amazon Prime Video, reports Surrey Live . The 2013 British action-thriller Vendetta sees Dyer playing the role of Special Ops interrogation officer Jimmy Vickers, as he hunts down the gang responsible for the murder of his parents and delivers his own form of vigilante justice on each of the members in the form of creative brutal torture - all while avoiding capture by the police and his old unit. Vendetta made its UK debut in select cinemas in November 2013, swiftly becoming the most acclaimed Danny Dyer feature since Dead Man Running. Despite this, its modest 17 per cent approval rating from an average of 12 critic reviews on Rotten Tomatoes suggests it won't appeal to all tastes. Sadly, critics were not impressed with the role: "Dear me", said one, while another sarcastically comments: "Danny Dyer proves he's a brilliant actor in a heartbreaking work of staggering genius. Just kidding." One particularly searing review stated: "No 12 months at the cinema would be complete without something jaw-droppingly awful starring Danny Dyer." Nevertheless, one reviewer found Vendetta "surprisingly decent". The film also resonated with moviegoers, as evidenced by an audience review praising it as Dyer's finest: "Pleasantly surprised by this one. Danny Dyer gives the best performance I've seen from him, as he leads an action-packed film which includes some interesting deaths. It is also shot well and paces itself nicely." Another viewer commended the film, saying: "Outright action movie. If you're not looking for needless drama, perfect for watching some unadulterated killing. No needless deaths, no droves of bad guys. Felt a bit like Taken, except he had time to do his killing and was creative with every one of them." The film has sparked a divide between critics and fans, with one viewer praising the movie: "If you believe in revenge against scumbags then this is it, brilliant film, loved it. Well done Danny Dyer, just wish this would happen more in real life." Another was equally enthused, sharing their thoughts online: "Wow, what a flick. Great story. Danny Dyer at his best, looks like there may be a 2nd. It's a great story, great cast, and a f*ckin awesome movie 10/10."
