Release of pending DA arrears sought
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Federation (APGEF) Chairman Kakarla Venkatarami Reddy has urged the state government to release the pending DA arrears and appoint a chairman for the PRC Venkatarami Reddy said despite a year in office, the coalition government has failed to deliver on key promises made to government employees in the manifesto. In a press release on Monday, he alleged there has not been a single positive step taken for the welfare of employees so far. Even pending Dearness Allowance (DA) has not been released for the past 14 months, Reddy stated. 'Four DA instalments, including the one due from July 2025, remain pending,' he said. He criticised the government's inaction on its election promises, including the assurance given for release of Interim Relief (IR), which has yet to materialise. He recalled that the previous government had approved a 27 per cent IR in its first Cabinet meeting post-elections in 2019. He demanded that the state cabinet meeting to be held on August 6 should resolve the pending issues of the government employees. Referring to the white paper released by the government last year, Reddy noted that dues to the employees amounted to Rs 21,800 crore, which include pending DA arrears, PRC arrears, and surrender leave bills — none of which have been addressed so far. Venkatarami Reddy said the PRC Commissioner resigned after the coalition government came to power, and no replacement has been made even after 14 months. He said, 'The 12th Pay Revision should have been implemented from July 2023. Two years have passed since the due date, yet no action has been taken.' He said APGEF is demanding that at least two of the four pending DA arrears should be released, IR be sanctioned, and a new PRC be appointed without further delay.

YSRCP urges SP to follow HC orders allowing Tadipatri former MLA to visit his home
A delegation of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders met Anantapur Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh and sought implementation of High Court orders which permitted former MLA Kethireddy Pedda Reddy to visit his residence in Tadipatri. Led by Anantapur district president Ananta Venkatarami Reddy, Mr. Pedda Reddy and others, the delegation submitted a representation to the SP on Monday (June 30), a day after police forcibly shifted the former MLA to Anantapur from his residence in Tadipatri. Speaking after meeting the SP, Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said the YSRCP has taken up a program 'Recalling Chandrababu Manifesto' in every Assembly constituency to expose the failure of the NDA government to implement its pre-poll promises. 'We want to take up the programme in Tadipatri also and the police should allow us to do it,' he said. Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said the government is resorting to vindictive politics and anarchy is prevailing in Tadipatri. 'If there are any restrictions on Mr. Pedda Reddy visiting Tadipatri, the police should give it in writing,' he demanded. Mr. Pedda Reddy said the High Court has issued orders to provide necessary security for his visit to Tadipatri two months back but the same were not being implemented. 'Though Tadipatri Municipal chairperson Prabhakar Reddy is issuing warnings and making provocative statements and attacking my supporters, the police are not taking any action against the TDP leaders,' he said. Mr. Pedda Reddy further said that there used to be a peaceful atmosphere in Tadipatri while he was an MLA.

Jagan means trust, Babu means betrayal: YSRCP
Anantapur: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Anantapur District President Anantha Venkatarami Reddy unveiled a booklet titled 'Jagan Means Trust – Chandrababu Means Betrayal' at the party's district office. The publication highlights the failures of the NDA coalition government in its first year of rule. Speaking at the launch event, Venkatarami Reddy criticised the current alliance government, stating that it has betrayed the people just like Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu did during his earlier tenure. 'We released this book to expose the chaos and deception of the ruling alliance, one year after they assumed power,' he said. During YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's tenure as Chief Minister, all manifesto promises were implemented without corruption or middlemen, benefiting citizens with ₹2.81 lakh crore in welfare schemes. The coalition, led by Chandrababu Naidu, has failed to implement even one of the 'Super Six' promises made during the elections. These schemes alone would require ₹81,000 crore annually, but nothing has been delivered. In reality, the 'Thalliki Vandhanam' scheme has only reached 37.7 lakh beneficiaries, not the claimed 67 lakh. The Amma Vodi scheme now gives only ₹13,000 instead of the promised ₹15,000, while Jagan's government had allotted ₹2,000 for school development from the same fund. Key promises such as ₹1,500 per month under the 'Aadabidda Nidhi,' pensions for SC/ST/BC women at 50 years of age, and free RTC bus travel for women remain unfulfilled. Illegal liquor, sand, and soil trade is rampant, especially in all 14 constituencies of Anantapur district. Liquor is being sold at inflated prices, even above MRP, with reported incidents of misbehavior inside bars and shops in Anantapur city, he said. Small vendors are now charged double the earlier fee for setting up pushcarts — ₹20 instead of ₹10, and in some areas even ₹40 instead of ₹20 — with no significant increase in municipal revenue. Venkatarami Reddy stated, 'YSRCP stood with the people even while in opposition. It is only due to our pressure that the government implemented schemes like Thalliki Vandhanam, though partially. We will continue to expose the betrayal of the coalition.' He concluded by declaring that the YSRCP would actively confront the government's failures and continue to serve as the voice of the people, ensuring that the public is informed about every instance of deception.

Former MLA urges State and Centre to renew FRCA of RDT
Former MLA and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Anantapur district president Anantha Venkatarami Reddy urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to renew the Foreign Contribution (Registration) Act (FCRA) of Rural Development Trust (RDT), which has been extending its services in various sectors since the last 55 years in the drought-hit Rayalaseema region, particularly in Anantapur. Speaking to the media in Anantapur on Sunday, the senior leader said that the services of RTD are not just limited to Anantapur, but extend across the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 'RDT is not affiliated to any religion or a region. It has been working for the upliftment of the poor and its existence is at stake as the Centre has kept the FCRA of the trust pending,' Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said. The RDT was set up by Spanish humanist Vincente Ferrer in 1969. After the death of Vincente Ferrer in 2009, it has been managed by his wife Anne Ferrer and son Moncho Ferrer. Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said that the trust is working towards the upliftment of people's lives in 3,500 villages across A.P. and Telangana. 'The trust is working in various sectors, including women empowerment, education, development of villages, health, and sports. It has a national and international reputation,' he said. Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said that the RDT had constructed a sports centre, Ananta Kreeda Gramam, in 32 acres on the outskirts of Anantapur and has been offering training to sports enthusiasts in cricket, hockey, football, athletics, judo, tennis and others. Apart from providing education to the poor, the RDT is also instrumental in forming 8,112 self-help groups (SHGs) for women. The former MLA added that the trust has announced the cancellation of RDT Common Entrance Test, which would hamper the prospects of poor people to pursue higher education. 'We urge the Chief Minister to intervene and persuade the Centre to renew the FRCA of RDT and allow it to continue its services,' he said.
