The Last Of Us Easter Eggs Season 2 Finale

First, when Dina (Isabela Merced) is freaking out about the arrow in her leg, Jesse (Young Mazino) yells at her while trying to calm her down, and it doesn't work. This is a great juxtaposition to when Dina and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) are trapped among the stalkers in Episode 5, and Ellie clearly speaks to Dina, who is getting nervous, instead of yelling at her. Also, when Jesse is prepping to push the arrow through Dina's leg, he puts his hand on her face to try and calm her. Ellie consistently does the same thing when Dina is stressed, except Dina leans into Ellie's hand. I also love how Jesse and Ellie put their hands on the opposite dies of Dina's face. Ellie pushing Dina's hair behind her ears and watching her sleep is another small moment that also happens in the game. However, in the game, it comes after Ellie returns from the aquarium. Dina noticing Ellie's bleeding through her shirt and asking her to take her shirt off so she can see is a scene directly from The Last of Us Part II. Dina carefully cleaning Ellie's scrapes on her back is also a moment directly from the game, and honestly, one of the most beloved Ellie and Dina moments. And, Ellie telling Dina that she made Nora (Tati Gabrielle) talk is also a line directly from The Last of Us Part II, but the conversation continuing as Ellie goes into more detail is new to the series. In the game, we never explicitly hear Ellie tell Dina about the Firefly base in Salt Lake City, the potential for a cure, or Abby's (Kaitlyn Dever) dad. Dina giving Ellie her bracelet before she and Jesse leave to go search for Tommy (Gabriel Luna) is scene directly from the video game. Also, in the game, Dina stays behind in the theater a bunch because she's not feeling well due to her pregnancy, so it happens in the show, but this time the reasoning is because of her getting shot in the leg. Similar to their conversation in the show, in the game, Ellie is also the one to confirm to Jesse that Dina is pregnant. In the game, Jesse suspects she's pregnant after Dina is extremely sick one night, while in the show Jesse suspects after Dina tells him she "can't die" and refuses his whiskey. When Jesse and Dina are walking through the streets of Seattle, you can spot a building where it looks like a crane rig has fallen into another building. It looks similar to a location that'll likely be featured in Season 3, aka Abby's story. I won't do the comparisson photo so that TV-only viewers aren't super spoiled, but if you played the game, you probably know what I'm talking about. In the show, Jesse and Ellie go to the bookstore because that's where Tommy was supposed to meet Jesse. However, in the game, it's simply a store Jesse and Ellie pass through while trying to get to the aquarium and find Tommy and Abby. Just like in the game, the mural in the kid's books section is also Alice in Wonderland. When Jesse and Ellie hear over the radio that the W.L.F. has encountered a sniper at the marina. In the game, Tommy is referred to as the sniper while Ellie tracks him through Seattle, and Jesse and Ellie also hear the W.L.F. talking about a sniper in the marina, too. Also, the marina is an important location in Abby's part of the game. I'll stay pretty vague for the TV-only viewers, but "sniper" and "marina" in the same sentence made me gasp. HERE WE GO. When Jesse and Ellie are up in the office building, where Ellie spots the ferris wheel and the aquarium, it looks identical to where Jesse and Ellie end up in the game during this moment, too. Jesse and Ellie parting ways because she wants to go after Abby, while Jesse wants to keep pursuing Tommy, is a scene pulled directly from The Last of Us Part II. The only thing the show adds is Ellie yelling at Jesse about how he's a hypocrite and how she watched her community get beaten to death. In the game, Ellie also steals a boat from the W.L.F. and uses it to try and get to the aquarium in order to confront Abby. Also in the game, Ellie does encounter rough seas because of the storm and ends up falling overboard while in her boat. However, in the game, you swim to the boardwalk near the ferris wheel/aquarium, while in the show, Ellie washes up on the shore of where the Serpahites live and is taken by them. While Ellie getting away from the Seraphites is new for the show, the moment hints at a larger scene from Abby's part of the game, especially when Ellie sees the explosions on the island. Just like in the game, when Ellie sneaks her way through the aquarium, she stumbles upon a bunch of medical equipment and bloody rags. You learn more about what happened here during Abby's portion of The Last of Us Part II. Ellie confronting Mel (Ariela Barer) and Owen (Spencer Lord) inside the aquarium happens exactly like it goes in the game, with Ellie wanting Mel to point at the map and show where Abby is, and then Owen confirms it. Also, the map trick is something Ellie learned from Joel (Pedro Pascal), with Joel notably using this technique in Season 1, Episode 8 when he's trying to find out where Ellie is after she's taken by David. In the game, Ellie shoots Owen after he rushes at her, and then she kills Mel after Mel attacks her with a knife. Wheras in the show, Ellie shoots after Owen reaches for a gun. While Ellie kills Mel while she's pregnant, both in the game and the show, Mel asking Ellie to save her baby is new for the show. Also in the game, players already know Mel is pregnant because Owen tells Abby while they are in Jackson. Tommy and Jesse finding Ellie after she's killed Owen and Mel is a moment directly from the game, too. In the game, Ellie actually hears Joel's voice, but it's actually Tommy. Jesse's shocking death is exactly what happens in The Last of Us Part II, with him being shot right in front of Ellie by Abby as he runs out of the auditorium. Abby and Ellie's confrontation in the theater, where Ellie tells Abby she knows why she killed Joel, is almost word-for-word the scene from the video game. Abby living at a W.L.F. outpost in a stadium is exactly what happens in the game as well, and players get to see just how big the W.L.F.'s operation out of the stadium truly is. Also, Manny waking up Abby while she's reading is also a moment right from the game. And finally, the show going back in time to Seattle Day One, but from Abby's perspective, is exactly what happens in the game as well. In The Last of Us Part II, players now play through the three days in Seattle but from Abby's perspective, which is likely how Season 3 will be structured. Alright, that's it for this season. Thanks for reading these each week. Now, we wait for Season 3... Did you catch any other Easter eggs or cool details? Tell us everything in the comments below!

'The Last of Us' Season 2, Episode 5 recap: Return of Tati Gabrielle and more surprise appearances

We've reached the final three episodes of The Last of Us Season 2, as we follow Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Dina (Isabela Merced) on their quest to find Abby (Kaitlyn Dever). Travelling through Seattle amid the feud between the Washington Liberation Front (W.L.F.) and Seraphites, also called Scars, things get even more gruesome on the show this week. But continuing a pattern we've seen in multiple episodes now, Episode 5 starts with a look back at the past. Specifically with Hanrahan, played by Alanna Ubach. Where to watch The Last of Us: Crave in Canada, HBO and Max in the Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Rutina Wesley, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, Danny Ramirez, Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey WrightNumber of episodes: 7 The episode begins with Hanrahan, arriving at a hospital controlled by the W.L.F., noticing a stairwell boarded up. She then questions Elise Park (Hettienne Park) about why she killed some of her own men by doing so, "including Leon." Elise explains that her unit was responsible for securing the hospital, which they did without trouble, and all that was left was the basement. But with components of the building collapsing, there was only one stairwell with access to the three basement levels. After B1 was clear, Elise sent a team to B2 the next day, led by Leon, who she highlights was particularly skilled. Leon was able to radio back an update that there were Cordyceps, then five minutes later he communicated again, but could hardly speak. Elise thought he had been bitten, but Leon said, "It's in the air. Seal us in." Elise and the rest of the team did as Leon said. That's when Hanrahan reveals the most devastating part of the story, saying "I'm sorry about your son." Continuing with Dina and Ellie, it's Day Two in Seattle and Dina is trying to figure out a route to get to the W.L.F. occupied hospital, as she's been listening to the Wolves communicate through the radio they were able to get their hands on. That's not really Ellie's strength, so she's spending her time playing the guitar in the empty theatre where they've found shelter. Ellie starts to sing 'Future Days' by Pearl Jam with the line, "If I ever were to lose you." While that may not mean much to those who just watch the show, video game fans know how important that song is to characters Ellie and Joel. It's a moment we see in the game where Joel is really trying to express his love for Ellie, that he loves her like a daughter. But back to Dina and Ellie's journey, Dina found a gap in the W.L.F. patrol setup, identifying a building they can travel through, but the concern is that the Wolves don't have eyes on it because it's filled with infected, making it a "reckless" move, as Dina describes. But one they take anyways. Dina also highlights that the Wolves are talking freely through the radio, which makes her think the Scars are like the Amish, choosing to live without technology, allowing the W.L.F. to communicate knowing their enemies aren't listening. As they continue to try to get to the hospital, they see dead bodies, which makes Ellie question why Dina is coming along, especially because she's pregnant. But Dina responds by telling Ellie about the first time she killed someone. When Dina was little she lived with her family in a cabin in a forest, north of Santa Fe, and she would beg her mom to let her play outside. One day when Dina was eight, she went outside alone, defying her mom's wishes. When she got back to the cabin there was a raider there and she could hear her family screaming. She was too late to save her family, but she shot the raider. Dina tells Ellie that if he had gotten away, she would have hunted that raider down forever. That's enough for Ellie to agree to continue the journey as a pair. She knows Dina understands her need to find Abby. As Ellie and Dina arrive at the building Dina scouted, they come in contact with the "smart" infected, who strategize and hide. Both Ellie and Dina are attacked by the infected stalkers and they're saved by Jesse (Young Mazino). Jesse and Tommy (Gabriel Luna) snuck out of Jackson to try to find Ellie and Dina, and Jesse was able to track them to the theatre, where he saw Dina's map. Jesse, Ellie and Dina get to a park, an area the Wolves won't go. But they see Scars murdering a W.L.F. member, hanging him and cutting open his torso, just like the bodies they saw earlier in their journey. But then an arrow hits Dina, with Ellie telling Jesse to get Dina back to the theatre. Instead of following Jesse and Dina, Ellie sees the hospital and takes her chance. She finds Nora (Tati Gabrielle) and tries to get her to reveal where Abby is, by holding her at gunpoint, but it doesn't work. Nora says she's sorry Ellie saw Joel die, but "the little bitch got what he deserved," and Nora tries to flee. As they both run down the hallway, Nora jumps into an elevator shaft, which leads to the dreaded B2 basement level Hanrahan and Elise were talking about at the beginning of the episode. Ellie climbs down to B2 and sees the walls and floor full of Cordyceps, with spores in the air, and one person stuck to a wall with Cordyceps. The badge on his shirt says, "L. Park," it's Leon, Elise's son, stuck in pain between life and death. As Ellie continues exploring the basement, she hears Nora coughing and wheezing, who says now they're both infected by breathing in the spores. But Nora then realizes that Ellie is "the immune girl." Ellie once again asks where Abby is, Nora won't tell her, but says Joel killed everyone in the Fireflies hospital, including the only person who could develop a cure, Abby's father. "Joel shot him in the head. That's what he did," Nora says. Ellie puts away her gun, kneels down and again, asks where Abby is, but Nora still refuses to tell her. Ellie then picks up a metal pipe she sees on the ground and asks one more time, before beating Nora. To end the episode, we cut to the past with Ellie asleep in her bed, being woken up by Joel saying, "Hey, kiddo."

This Week's "The Last Of Us" Had Some Perfect Details, So Here Are 25 That You Might've Missed The First Time

There are obviously MASSIVE spoilers ahead for The Last of Us Season 2 and The Last of Us Part II video game! 1. First, Dina (Isabela Merced) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) searching for supplies in the pharmacy is something directly from the game. While playing The Last of Us Part II, gamers search through rooms, buildings, etc, to find items to craft weapons and more. 2. Notably, Dina checks to see if there are any pills in a bottle, which is something you collect in the game as well, in order to upgrade various skills, like health, listening mode, and more. 3. The phramacy that Dina and Ellie are in is also a direct location from The Last of Us Part II. 4. The show titles this portion "Seattle Day One," which is something directly from the game, as Dina and Ellie start their journey into Seattle while tracking down Abby. 5. Dina and Ellie coming across the pride murals and flags in the street is something directly from the game as well, right down to them not knowing what the rainbows represent. In the game, Ellie and Dina also go into a queer bookstore after spotting the pride murals and flags. 6. The opening scene where Isaac (Jeffrey Wright) kills FEDRA agents is something added for the show; however, in the game, we do see FEDRA skeletons right when Ellie and Dina get to Seattle, like Ellie does in the episode. 7. Ellie mentions Apollo 1 while comparing the dead FEDRA agents to the members of the space mission. In the games, Ellie is obsessed with space, which is actually something Ashley Johnson, who voiced and did the motion capture for Ellie in the games, is obsessed with, too. HBO 8. Just like in the game, the music store Dina and Ellie stumble into is called "Valiant Music Shop," and the logo for the store matches what is in the game, too. 9. And, Dina playing the drums while exploring downstairs is something that happens in the game, the longer a player explores the store. 10. When Ellie walks up the stairs, you can see a poster for Pearl Jam, which is also something Ellie sees while walking upstairs in The Last of Us Part II. 11. Ellie playing the guitar and singing "Take on Me" to Dina is a shot-for-shot recreation of a scene in the game. In the game, the scene is sometimes missed because it's not necessary to advance in the story. 12. When Ellie leaves the guitar behind, the shot mirrors a similar shot from later in the game. 13. The sweater that Isaac wears in this episode matches exactly what he wears in the game. Also, Jeffrey Wright did the voice and motion capture for Isaac in The Last of Us Part II, so he's reprising his role. 14. While interrogating the Seraphite, Isaac calls him a "Scar," which is something directly from the game. The W.L.F., who are the biggest enemies of the Seraphites, call them Scars, which they don't appreciate. 15. When Dina and Ellie enter the TV station, the W.L.F. bodies that are hung from the ceiling mirrors the same moment from the game. Warning This image is graphic Click to reveal 16. The message written in blood on the wall from the Seraphites is a saying that Ellie and Dina encounter throughout Seattle on murals during The Last of Us Part II. 17. Ellie kills one of the W.L.F. members by stabbing him in the neck with her knife, which is something gamers do in order to complete a stealth kill. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 18. Dina and Ellie running from a horde of infected and clickers in the abandoned metro tunnels in Seattle is a moment directly from the game. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 19. When Ellie and Dina are trying to escape from the infected in the train car, Dina asks Ellie for a boost, and then she helps Ellie up through the emergency exit on the roof. In the game, Ellie and Dina boosting each other up happens consistently in order to climb over tall walls and more, in order to get to new locations. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 20. The turnstile moment where Dina is almost bitten does happen in the game, except it's Ellie who is stuck and trying desperately to get through. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 21. The theater that Ellie and Dina hide out in is directly taken from The Last of Us Part II, right to the look of the outside and inside of the building. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 22. Dina finding out Ellie is actually immune happens differently in the game than the show, in that Ellie's mask cracks — in the game, they are dealing with airborne spores — and when Dina goes to take her mask off too, Ellie tells her she's immune. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 23. In the game, Ellie and Dina actually have sex for the first time while hiding out in the blizzard in Eugene's grow room before they find out Joel and Tommy are missing, and ultimately before Joel's death. For the show, the couch moment between Ellie and Dina was split up between the "rate our kiss" moment in Episode 3 and the sex scene in Episode 4. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 24. Ellie telling Dina about how the burn on her arm was originally a bite also happens in the game, but it happens earlier. It's also part of the couch/weed scene from before Joel is killed, and Dina doesn't know Ellie's immune at the time and thinks she's lying. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via 25. And finally, in The Last of Us Part II, Ellie has a much harsher reaction to Dina's pregnancy than she does in the show. In the game, she calls Dina a burden and wonders why she even accompanied her to Seattle. HBO / Naughty Dog / Via Alright, that's all for now. Come back again next week for even more details from the next episode. Did you catch any other Easter eggs or cool details? Tell us everything in the comments below! "The Last Of Us" Included A Stunning Performance From Isabela Merced This Week, And Everyone Has The Same Perfect Reactions

🚨 There are massive — and I mean MASSIVE — spoilers ahead for The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 4! 🚨 Hi. Yes. Hello. The Last of Us began its journey into Seattle this week with Season 2, Episode 4 — titled "Day One," directed by Kate Herron and written by Craig Mazin — which notably featured some of the biggest developments for Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Dina's (Isabela Merced) relationship. After arriving in Seattle, Ellie and Dina start out trying to find Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and her friends. Looking around and staying clear of the W.L.F. leads to one of the most beloved game moments when Ellie and Dina hide out in a music store, and Ellie plays her "Take on Me." And while that moment is jaw-droppingly beautiful, the episode quickly shifts to some of the most anxiety-inducing moments so far this season, when Ellie and Dina come across a bunch of dead W.L.F bodies, whom they think have been killed by the Seraphites, and they must escape the W.L.F who chase them deep into the underground transit system of Seattle where there is a hoard of infected waiting for them. It's here that Dina and Ellie's relationship is truly tested when Ellie gets bit in order to save Dina's life, which launches us into arguably one of the best moments of the entire season, when Dina learns that Ellie is immune. And in an incredible departure from the game, this is where Dina and Ellie FINALLY get together, with Dina revealing that she's pregnant — yeah, it's very much stressful all around now — before her and Ellie have sex for the first time and she reveals that she loves Ellie. Oh, and on top of all of this, Jeffrey Wright makes his long-awaited debut as Isaac, who he also played in The Last of Us Part II. So, naturally, fans — like me — took to Twitter to voice their opinions over this latest episode, make some incredible jokes, and give A+ commentary about "Day One." So, here are some of the best tweets about The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 4: Editor's Note: While we can't endorse what X has become, we can bring you the worthwhile moments that still exist there, curated and free of the surrounding chaos. 1.
