One minute, he thinks life is going to be easy; the next, he has to pick a new role and face off against terrifying monsters that have popped up around the world. Equipped with his newfound abilities to control he dead, he only has one goal in mind – to make it out alive. We love a good action series on WEBTOON. And The Lone Necromancer isn't just action, it's fantasy too – a double win in our book. It has the same vibes as Sword Art Online but with a more serious tone. Like other action series, the art plays a huge role in the storytelling. Watching the fight scenes dance down the page gives everything a unique and beautiful flow. It does an incredible job adding excitement and suspense to the story. For action and fantasy fans, this is a must-read in our book. The Lone Necromancer updates every Friday. Then out of nowhere, he is thrust into a world filled with monsters and mystery. But instead of succumbing to fear, Jake thrives here. Using what skills he has, Jake fights to survive and shed his past and become a true apex hunter. Keeping up with the action-fantasy and thrown into another world theme, The Primal Hunter is a must-read overall. We found that this series, while having a similar premise to the iconic Sword Art Online , actually feels more like Log Horizon. And if you have ever had the pleasure of reading that series, you know this is going to be good. The suspense and mystery will have you struggling to put it down. Add in that we love Jake's character and want to watch him succeed to the end, and this makes it the perfect choice for an action-packed weekend. The Primal Hunter updates every Monday. We are heading back into the romance category on this week's installment. Kicking things off is GAE's Tears on a Withered Flower . The story follows Haesu, a young woman struggling in her marriage. After working so hard to clear up his debt, only to learn he cheated with a coworker, her life starts to spiral. During this, she is drawn to a mysterious man named Taeha, who has been desperately seeking her attention. But could he be hiding something that she's too desperate to see? We love a good WEBTOON series, but there is something about those that fall into the mature category. Tears on a Withered Flower doesn't shy away from the intensity this story brings. Haesu and Mincheol's relationship is herendous from the moment we meet them. Having the opportunity to see both perspectives enhances our understanding of the subject. The series is still new, but it has already captured our hearts. We want the best for Haesu, and at this point, there is a chance neither gentleman will fit the bill. Our second series, Ah Ai Maria's All Colors of Snow , falls into the romance category as well. The story follows Eugene, a young girl living in France and a part of high society. But that isn't where she wants to be. She wants more than balls, operas, embroidery and all that comes with being a lady. Eugene wants adventure. She wants to see the world and experience everything it has to offer. And after a fateful encounter with a mysterious Count, all of Eugene's might come true. But so may her nightmares. We enjoy a good historical romance, but we love one that also features drama and suspense. All Colors of Snow meets all of these things and never takes itself too seriously. We love the attention to detail, along with updating things like the dialogue to fit the normal flow of this century. While this series is a new original, it did spend some time in Canvas, which is where we first fell in love. No spoilers here, but readers are going to be over the moon with this series. The slice-of-life comic follows Minh, a young man working in a flower shop. Life is anything but ordinary for this florist since he can see both the living and the dead. The series centers around Minh's everyday interactions with beings in both worlds. He is joined by his otherworldly Grandmother and a fun cast of unordinary characters. Grand Ma is a series that we feel everyone should read at least once. It isn't overly long, but Gurei manages to pack quite the punch in the 50 chapters. The story shifts from comedy to gut-punching you with emotion in the blink of an eye. We also love how colorful and unique all of the otherworldly spirits are within the story. We spent time in each chapter just looking at all of the incredible characters. Grand Ma is complete. Readers can find it on the official WEBTOON page. Our second WEBTOON series this week is Cutbu's 28th Century Superfan . Ji-eum Lee is a struggling author who just wants someone to buy her latest book when her number one Stan magically appears in her living room from the 28th century. Next thing you know, the two are on a bizarre roller-coaster adventure that may just lead to her best novel yet. Or will it all fall apart? Only the future knows and unfortunately Stan doesn't seem to be much help. Sometimes, when we read a WEBTOON series, we don't want all the emotions, in-depth backstories, major character arcs, and suspense. Sometimes we just want a series that will have us laughing the whole way through. This is where 28th Century Superfan comes in. There is a plot, but that's not important. In fact, the entire plot is just Ji-eum trying to figure out what happens next on this wild ride. It's full of laughs and out-of-this-world antics, making it the perfect series when you don't want to think too hard. 28th Century Superfan is complete.
