Our first series for this week's Saturday Morning Webtoons is Gurei's Grand Ma . The slice-of-life comic follows Minh, a young man working in a flower shop. Life is anything but ordinary for this florist since he can see both the living and the dead. The series centers around Minh's everyday interactions with beings in both worlds. He is joined by his otherworldly Grandmother and a fun cast of unordinary characters.
Grand Ma is a series that we feel everyone should read at least once. It isn't overly long, but Gurei manages to pack quite the punch in the 50 chapters. The story shifts from comedy to gut-punching you with emotion in the blink of an eye. We also love how colorful and unique all of the otherworldly spirits are within the story. We spent time in each chapter just looking at all of the incredible characters.
Grand Ma is complete. Readers can find it on the official WEBTOON page.

Our second WEBTOON series this week is Cutbu's 28th Century Superfan . Ji-eum Lee is a struggling author who just wants someone to buy her latest book when her number one Stan magically appears in her living room from the 28th century. Next thing you know, the two are on a bizarre roller-coaster adventure that may just lead to her best novel yet. Or will it all fall apart? Only the future knows and unfortunately Stan doesn't seem to be much help.
Sometimes, when we read a WEBTOON series, we don't want all the emotions, in-depth backstories, major character arcs, and suspense. Sometimes we just want a series that will have us laughing the whole way through. This is where 28th Century Superfan comes in. There is a plot, but that's not important. In fact, the entire plot is just Ji-eum trying to figure out what happens next on this wild ride. It's full of laughs and out-of-this-world antics, making it the perfect series when you don't want to think too hard.
28th Century Superfan is complete. Readers can find it on the official WEBTOON page.

Sony is Still Putting Its Faith in ‘Marathon'
Bungie's Marathon is still coming out, and when it does, PlayStation plans on giving the extraction shooter a fair shot. During a recent investor interview, Sony Interactive Entertainment head Herman Hulst assured the game would come out before March 31, 2026, when Sony's fiscal year ends. Touching on its recent alpha test, he descbied the feedback as 'varied, but super useful. […] The constant testing, the constant re-validation of assumptions that we just talked about, to me is just so valuable to iterate and to constantly improve the title, so when launch comes, we're going to give the title the optimal chance of success.' Hanging over PlayStation is 2024's sci-fi shooter Concord, which shut down weeks after launch and later led to developer Firewalk Studios closing down. That's been just one of several botched attempts from PlayStation's attempts to enter live-service games, which includes several canceled projects and layoffs across its first-party studios. While acknowledging these 'unique challenges' and attributing Concord's failure to the 'hypercompetitive market' of hero shooters, Hulst talked up how they're avoiding the same mistakes with Marathon. 'It's going to be the first new Bungie title in over a decade, and it's our goal to release a very bold, very innovative, and deeply engaging title. We're monitoring the closed alpha cycle the team has just gone through. We're taking all the lessons learned, we're using the capabilities we've built and analytics and user testing to understand how audiences are engaging with the title.' One thing Hulst didn't touch on, though, was the recent accusations of art plagiarism levvied against Bungie. In May, artist Fern 'Antireal' Hook released evidence alleging the studio stole assets she made from previous work and failed to credit her. After investigating, Bungie attributed the theft to the work of a former employee, publicly apologized, and said it would do 'everything we can to make this right' with Hook. It also promised to review all in-game assets and replace 'questionably sourced' art with original, in-house work. With the mention of its arriving before the fiscal year ends, Marathon may be delayed out of its current September 23 launch. At time of writing, Bungie and PlayStation have kept mum on a potential delay, but the game failed to make an appearance at PlayStation's recent State of Play in early June. [via IGN]

Omos Reveals Why NOAH Run Didn't Last Longer
Why didn't Omos have a longer run with Pro Wrestling NOAH earlier this year? Back in January, Omos had a very promising month as a member of the Pro Wrestling NOAH roster and even captured championship gold. However, after a successful title defense on January 25, Omos announced that he was heading back to WWE and relinquished his title. Despite this, Omos hasn't been seen on WWE programming since. Advertisement WWE Superstar Omos recently spoke to WrestleZone via GamblingIndustryNews. When asked why his run in Pro Wrestling NOAH seemingly ended abruptly, Omos revealed the plan was always for him to only be there for a month. 'It was always the plan to spend one month there. I do hope I get to go back soon, but that was always the plan,' he revealed. 'I'm a married man, so being away from my wife for over a month was tough! I spent Christmas Day and New Year at home, then went to Japan for four and a half weeks. I loved it and had a blast in Japan, but still, I missed my wife, and I did want to be home, but I cannot wait to go back whenever that time comes.'
