Rapper Tory Lanez who shot Megan Thee Stallion ‘stabbed 14 times' in attack by inmate while serving 10 years in prison

Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, said he is "deeply thankful" to have survived the frenzied attack in which he was stabbed 14 times. He is now breathing on his own.' According to the post, 'Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits, and deeply thankful to God that he is pulling through.' The rapper was reportedly attacked at a housing unit at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi at about 7:20 a.m. Pedro Calderon Michel, spokesman for the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, said staff did what they could to help Lanez and called 911, before he was rushed to an outside hospital. Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting of fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in July of 2020. He was found guilty of assault and two gun charges at trial in December 2022.
