In a press statement , the 64-year-old fondly recalled his early days performing in Taiwan's folk cafes, with no elaborate lighting or grand effects, only faces in the crowd. He said: 'I have spent so many years constantly travelling overseas performing for others. 'But this time, I want to sing the songs that truly matter to me — the songs I want to sing for myself.' The new tour , billed as an 'elevated experience' and a 'stunning fusion of music and spectacle', is inspired by his most introspective album to date, The Younger Me (2019). It consists of tracks such as Sigmund Freud's Sake, Iceland and I Eat Therefore I Am. The Younger Me Concerts Tour 3.0 kicked off in the Chinese city of Changsha on April 12 .
