5 Reasons You Should Cancel Your Walmart+ Membership

A Walmart+ membership can be a valuable tool for the right person, especially for those who regularly shop at Walmart and would like the convenience of free home delivery plus other money-saving perks. For those who are wondering whether to cancel after the free 30-day trial or whether to renew their current membership, here are a few things to think about. Check Out: Read Next: Your 30-Day Trial Is Up and You Hardly Used the Membership If you decided to give a Walmart+ membership a whirl and didn't use it much, that's a good reason to cancel it. Unless you have rock-solid plans to use it in the future, why pay $98 a year for something you'll barely use? You Don't Want To Tip the Delivery Driver If one of the reasons you wanted the membership was for the convenience of Walmart delivering purchases and prescriptions to your doorstep, but you don't want to tip the delivery driver, you'll probably want to cancel. Even though Walmart does not require shoppers to tip, drivers may expect tips and pass over your order if they know you aren't planning to tip. Unfortunately, this can delay your order, which is an inconvenience and not worth the membership fee. Discover More: The Mobile Scan-and-Go Feature Won't Work Consistently The mobile scan-and-go feature is one of the perks of the Walmart+ membership because it saves time. It allows shoppers to scan their items while shopping and skip scanning at the checkout kiosk. However, some shoppers complain it doesn't work consistently, leaving them to have to rescan all of their items before checkout — which was what they were trying to avoid in the first place. You might as well save time and check out as normal if you experience these issues. Your Items Don't Arrive on Time Look online and you'll find plenty of complaints from Walmart+ members who say their items don't arrive on time. Other complaints include getting the wrong order, having missing items or having their order misdirected. If during your 30-day trial you experience more than one instance like these, it's likely you will continue to experience more of the same. Why pay for a service that doesn't deliver on its promises? Save time and frustration by utilizing curbside pickup or shopping in-store to pick up your items. You're Not Interested in Any of the Other Perks A Walmart+ membership isn't only for free delivery; it also offers the following perks: Free shipping with no order minimum Free pharmacy delivery with no order minimum Save $0.10 per gallon on fuel at more than 13,000 stations nationwide Free Paramount+ subscription 25% off daily Burger King purchases and a free Whopper with purchase every three months While these are all valuable perks, if you're not interested in utilizing any of them, you should probably cancel your Walmart+ membership. How Walmart is Positioning for Comp Growth Amid Consumer Shifts?

Walmart Inc. WMT is refining its strategy to align with rapidly shifting consumer behaviors. In the first quarter fiscal 2026, Walmart U.S. delivered comp growth of 4.5% driven by transaction improvement of 1.6% and an average ticket increase of 2.8%, as well as strong e-commerce growth. Complementing this performance, Sam's Club U.S. posted a robust 6.7% increase in comparable sales, excluding fuel. The growth was primarily volume-driven, with strength in Member's Mark products. A major driver of this traffic momentum is Walmart's expansion of store-fulfilled delivery, now reaching 93% of U.S. households with delivery in under three hours. In the fiscal first quarter, one-third of Walmart's deliveries were expedited, underscoring the increasing role of convenience in driving customer visits. Membership remains another key growth lever. Walmart+ membership income rose at a double-digit rate. The company's health and wellness category surged with high-teens growth, supported by strong prescription volume and over-the-counter product sales. To reinforce its price leadership, Walmart implemented more than 5,000 price reductions during the quarter. Walmart's strategy reflects a retail model that integrates stores, digital convenience and membership-driven engagement. By prioritizing faster fulfillment, competitive pricing and a broader customer reach, Walmart is positioning itself to drive steady same-store sales growth while adapting to evolving consumer demands in a highly competitive retail landscape. Walmart's Comp Growth Compared With Target and Costco Target Corporation TGT reported a 3.8% decline in comparable sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2025, driven by weaker discretionary demand. However, Target continues to prioritize same-day services, with Drive Up accounting for nearly half of digital sales in the quarter. Target expanded the Target Plus marketplace, growing GMV more than 20%, aiming to enhance assortment and offset comp pressures. In contrast, Costco Wholesale Corporation COST reported 5.7% total company comparable sales growth in the third quarter of fiscal 2025, with U.S. comparable sales up 6.6%. Costco benefited from strong traffic and private label gains via Kirkland Signature. In addition, Costco is using local sourcing and strategic inventory management to maintain volume-driven comparable sales growth despite inflationary and tariff headwinds. WMT's Price Performance, Valuation and Estimates Shares of Walmart have gained around 0.4% in the past three months compared with the industry 's growth of 0.3%. Image Source: Zacks Investment Research From a valuation standpoint, WMT trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 34.74X, significantly up from the industry's average of 31.99X. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for WMT's fiscal 2026 earnings implies year-over-year growth of 3.6%, whereas the same for fiscal 2027 indicates a year-over-year uptick of 11.7%. Prime Day is over — but I'd shop this massive Walmart weekend sale from $3 on apparel, TVs, appliances and more

If you missed out on anything you wanted from Amazon, give Walmart's sale a look as many popular items are still discounted. Right now Walmart's sale has epic deals starting from $3. Walmart is also offering up to 50% off essentials like washcloths, teeth whiteners, protein powder and more. And you can get back to college apparel, school supplies and dorm decor from $3. The sale includes all-terrain clogs, slip-resistant clogs, sandals, and more. It's one of the biggest Crocs sales I've seen at Walmart all year. Lego sale: deals from $10 @ WalmartLet your child's imagination run wild with a new Lego playset. Walmart has various models on sale from $10. The sale includes Lego Star Wars, Lego Super Mario, and more. Lego sales are common, but Walmart's sale stands out for having a wide range of sets on sale. Need a cheap pair of wired on-ear headphones? These Sony 'phones will do the trick. They're lightweight, sturdy and have 30mm drivers for bright, clear sound. And you don't need to take my word for it — these popular headphones have a 4.3 star rating based on customer check: $9 @ Amazon Wireless earbuds have come a long way, and now, you can get a solid-sounding pair of buds for under $25. While not all budget earbuds are up to par, the JLab Go Air Pop True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds are an ace pick. They got a 4-star rating in our Jlab Go Air Pop review for their satisfying sound, 7-hour battery life and IPX4 water resistance rating. Light up your outdoor space at night with this set of string lights that are 100 feet long and include 50 bulbs. You'll want to spend all night under the stars with these lights that emit a soft white glow and will make a stylish statement hanging in your backyard or over your patio. Our JBL Go 4 review determined that this is the perfect portable Bluetooth speaker for those on a budget. Small enough to take traveling, it still packs enough performance to soundtrack small gatherings while bringing useful features like IP67 water and dust protection, and multi-point connectivity. It also comes in a variety of fun colors. This umbrella is the perfect addition to your backyard or patio. It provides optimal shade while adding some elegant style. The umbrella surface is UV-proof, waterproof and fade resistant so you can use it on both sunny and rainy days. This super-cute mini digital camera is a nice find with this discount. Our Fujifilm Instax Pal review said this device is extremely easy to use, and we had plenty of praise for its portable design. While you'll need to tether it to the companion app on your phone, it's perfect for taking fun, retro-style pictures. This is the biggest discount we've seen on the AirPods 4. We loved the Apple's earbuds in our AirPods 4 review, with their surprisingly effective ANC being a major a highlight. Transparency mode is a nice added extra. They sound pretty good, too, featuring a more open fit than the AirPods Pro 2. The AirPods Pro 2 pack Apple's new H2 chip to provide 2x more noice cancellation than their predecessors. They also offer Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking for a more immersive audio experience. In our AirPods Pro 2 review, we said they take everything we loved about the original AirPods Pro to the next level. This newer model includes a USB-C charging case. The 2025 iPad features a larger 11-inch (2360 x 1640) screen, A16 CPU, 12MP rear/front cameras, USB-C connectivity and Magic Keyboard Folio ($249) support. The base model features 128GB of storage, which double the capacity of its predecessor. It's available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB capacities. The Apple Watch 10 boasts a thinner and lighter design, faster charging and a new sleep apnea detection feature. Some other new key features include 30% more screen area, rounded corners and a first-ever wide angle OLED display. The device also features advanced health insights, including the ability to take an ECG anytime. Available in a plethora of fun colors, the Apple AirPods Max (USB-C) boast fantastic ANC and a crisp and balanced sound profile. In our AirPods Max review, we were thoroughly impressed by its luxurious design and feel, and we said its spatial audio technology was a "game-changer" for immersive listening. It's no longer Apple's flagship, but the MacBook Air M1 offers good performance and value. The M1 CPU never stuttered in our tests and also helped it reach over 14 hours of battery life. It features a 13.3-inch Retina display, Apple M1 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. In our MacBook Air M1 review, we said it offers amazing endurance and very good speed. Smart TVs: deals from $88 @ WalmartWalmart has a massive sale on smart TVs. The sale includes TVs from brands like TCL, Hisense, JVC, and Walmart's own Onn brand. After discount, prices start as low as $88. Keep in mind that there are a few 1080p sets included in the sale. I recommend sticking with 4K resolution as the price difference isn't all that great. This 65-inch display has every app you could possibly want as well as plenty of ports for games consoles and more. If you're not familiar with Onn, it's Walmart's in-house electronics brand. We like this TV because it uses the Roku platform as its OS and it's a great pick for shoppers on an extra tight budget. The TCL QM6K is the perfect deal for a display upgrade. It offers a VRR feature that can push the TV refresh rate to 288Hz and leverages Dolby Vision IQ for sophisticated HDR support. It's a great TV for gamers and comes in a wide range of sizes at incredible prices. We gave it an excellent 4-star rating in our TCL QM6K Mini-LED TV review. One of the best Roku TVs on shelves has to be the Pro Series Mini-LED. This TV is a fantastic choice for those wanting excellent performance and simplicity. It delivers vibrant visuals, enhanced brightness and Roku's intuitive platform. Offering a premium experience at a lower cost, it's definitely a deal worth grabbing. Walmart is slashing the price of this folding Adirondack Chair. After this discount, this foldable, weather-proof design (it's constructed from high-density polyethylene lumber) is a steal. Reviewers rave these are easy to put together and are built to last for many summers to come. One buyer even notes it's "a very solid chair for the money!" This small outdoor conversation set is available for $190 off the regular price. Made of woven rattan, high-quality steel frames, and tempered glass table top, this adorable set will be the perfect spot to relax or enjoy a cocktail outdoors this spring. It also comes with seat cushions featuring an ergonomic design for extra comfort. Spend your leisure time lounging in comfort with this outdoor patio set that features one bench, two single sofas and a coffee table with a tempered tabletop. Made of a solid steel and rattan structure, the outdoor furniture is sturdy and durable. The spacious seating is covered with padded cushions that have removable and washable covers. Switch games/accessories sale: deals from $12 @ WalmartWalmart is offering big discounts on Switch games and accessories. The sale includes Mario and Zelda video games, controllers, gaming headsets and more. The Meta Quest 3S is already the best VR headset for the money, and now that it's just $249, the deal has just become all the sweeter. Expect the same performance as the pricier Quest 3, but with a smaller field of view and lower resolution. Other than that, expect to play a popular VR game right off the bat, and even more thanks to its 3-month Quest+ subscription. The Xbox Series S is limited to 1440p output, but still delivers fast loading, ray tracing, and high frame rates. It sports a GPU with up to 4 teraflops of output, 10GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD for storage. (There's no disc drive).Price check: $329 @ Amazon The Ninja Creami has been making waves (scoops?) in the home cook world. We gave it 4 stars in our Ninja Creami review. We loved how easy it was to make delicious homemade ice cream. There's a huge range of recipe styles available, such as milkshake, froyo, and even gelato! And as if it couldn't get any better — the Creami is also easy to clean. Leave your spring cleaning to your digital assistant. The Shark Matrix Robot Vacuum features precision home mapping, powerful suction that makes it great for households with pets, and hands-free cleaning thanks to its Alexa/Google Assistant support. The 80V 21" is one of Greenworks' most popular mowers. It features a single lever, 5-position height adjustment and promises low-noise one-touch controls.

Prime Day isn't the only big sale happening right now — here are other competing sales where the deals are just as good

Since launching a decade ago, Amazon Prime Day has spawned an entire legion of competing July sales from other retailers, including Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Wayfair. This year's Prime Day sale, which lasts from July 8-11 in a historic four-day event, runs alongside some retail events that go all the way through Sunday, July we still recommend Amazon Prime for the majority of the best deals, like those in our guide to the best Prime Day deals, many of these competitors have matching discounts on hot items. This can be handy for customers who don't have a Prime subscription (although new users can get a 30-day free trial), don't want to shop at Amazon, or have an existing membership with a company like Walmart or Target. While the bulk of the Walmart and Target deals require customers to have Walmart Plus or Target Circle memberships, sales at stores like Wayfair, Best Buy, and Saatva are open to we've rounded up some of our favorite deals at retailers other than Amazon Prime. Everything we've highlighted is either the same discounted price as what you can find at Amazon or something that isn't sold on Amazon at of our favorite Prime Day deals come from Apple, Ninja, and Breville. The AirPods Pro 2nd Gen are down $100, while the Breville Barista Express has been reduced by a whopping $150. Beats Studio Pro Wireless headphones are a little over 50% off, about as low as we usually see them go. The AirPods Pro 2 are a big upgrade from their predecessors, with improved noise cancellation and battery life. They also support new aural health features to assess your hearing and function as hearing aids. This model comes with a USB-C charging case and added dust resistance. Breville's Barista Express, the predecessor to the newest Barista Pro, is a 9.5-pound machine that quickly and reliably makes great-tasting espresso every time. The new M3 iPad Air models include an upgraded processor and added video editing features over last year's models. Otherwise, they offer the same design and features as their predecessors in the same 11-inch and 13-inch form factors. The Bissell Little Green is a great option for small spaces like apartments, tiny houses, and condos because it's small enough to store and is highly portable. The Oura Ring is one of the most well-respected of the original smart ring brands and is a great buy whether you're an Android or iPhone user. This is a great option for fitness fans wanting to avoid the bulky smartwatches during exercise. We particularly like it for sleep tracking, too, as wearing a watch day and night is a bit much. Adirondack chairs are an instant way to enhance your outdoor relaxing time, adding to patio, deck, and backyard spaces. The Ninja Crispi is an on-the-go air frying solution, ideal for bringing lunch to work and making it there. The Beats Studio Pro are wireless headphones designed to do it all, whether you want to be fully immersed in an album or take a call on the go. They offer both active noise canceling (ANC) and transparency modes, making them a versatile option for any situation. This traditional kit comes with 20 treatments of whitening strips, with the goal of getting teeth 18 levels whiter within 20 days. The 44mm Apple Watch SE is simply a larger model than the 40mm SE, and is otherwise identical. The Apple Watch SE is the perfect blend of features and affordability. The five stores we highlighted above aren't the only retailers offering deep discounts this week. You can also peruse sales at The Home Depot, Macy's, and Saatva, among others. It's worth checking out your favorite stores to see if they have any promos or bigger deals than true best deals are entirely dependent on what items you're looking for, and sale prices range from retailer to retailer, sometimes day to day. But in our time combing through the deals across various websites, it seems that if you're looking for a one-stop shop with the best overall deals, Amazon Prime might still be the way to go — at least this of Target's marquee items, like the Levi's 501 Original Fit High-Rise Women's Jean Shorts, are down to $34.99 with Target Circle, but Amazon has them all the way down to $28.48 in select colors for Prime Day. Similarly, most hot-ticket Dyson vacuums are seeing their ultimate low prices at Amazon. The Dyson V8 Extra/Plus Cordless Vacuum is $319.99 instead $469.99 of at Walmart, but Amazon Prime has it listed even cheaper at $ worth noting that while discount prices might have a similar bottom line across retailers, some deals might look better than others because the products have varying regular list prices across for more discounts today? Check out our roundup of all of the best Prime Day deals, or browse Amazon's website for the full selection.
