Bryant Lamont Brown II, 25, of Wayne, was charged with one count of unlawful driving away a motor vehicle. Brown was arraigned on Wednesday and received a $100,000 cash/surety bond. The three children, found abandoned in their car seats, were returned to their mother. Wayne Police Department According to the Wayne Police Department, officers were notified on May 18 of a car theft at a gas station on Michigan Avenue and Venoy Road in Wayne. Police say the mother went into a store to purchase groceries when the suspect took the car. Police located the vehicle in the 27000 block of Cherry Hill in Dearborn Heights, and the suspect was getting in and out of the vehicle. Police say moments later, dispatch received a call about children crying in the parking lot of a business two miles away in the area of Middlebelt Road and Grandview in Inkster. Officers located a 3-year-old and two 18-month-old twins in their car seats. The children were not hurt, police say. The suspect, later identified as Brown, was taken into custody.

Woman found dead in her vehicle in Wayne city park
A woman was found dead Wednesday night inside the back seat of a Ford Explorer in Wayne, Michigan. The discovery was made about 9 p.m. by a baseball coach who was leaving the ball fields at Forest Park at the time, according to the report from Wayne Police Department. The vehicle was parked nearby. Upon the report, police and EMS arrived, confirmed the woman was dead and notified the Investigations Bureau. The woman was later identified as 35-year-old Allyssa Caulk, the registered owner of the vehicle. She was known to both live out of her car and frequently visit the park, police said. There were no apparent signs of trauma or foul play in her death, the police report said. The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office will do an autopsy in an attempt to determine cause of death. Man arrested on 7 charges after 120 mph pursuit in NE Nebraska
STANTON, Neb. (KCAU) — A Nebraska man was arrested Friday after allegedly leading police on a high-speed pursuit in northeast Nebraska while intoxicated. According to the Stanton County Sheriff's Office, a pursuit began at about 2:15 a.m. on Friday, April 11. The Wayne Police Department initiated the chase after a black Ford Mustang fled west on Nebraska Highway 35 (N-35). This pursuit ended near Winside. Later, the vehicle was seen again on N-35 by the Stanton County Sheriff's Office. The Mustang allegedly did not stop, instead turning back east and fleeing from police at over 120 mph. At one point, the driver 'recklessly disregarded' a stop sign and made a turn towards Wayne while driving at over 100 mph, a release says. Officials still investigating massive business fire in rural South Sioux City The vehicle was eventually spiked with a tire deflation device by Wayne police and stopped at the west edge of Wayne on N-35. The driver allegedly gave police a fake Wisconsin driver's license before giving his true identity: Treyton Smith, 20, of Springfield, Nebraska. He was also found to have been illegally drinking, according to the release. Smith was booked into the Stanton County Jail later that day. He was charged with speeding 120+ in a 65 mph zone; operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest; willful reckless driving; driving while intoxicated; refusal to submit to chemical DWI test; false imprisonment; and possession of fake ID. Police say NJ state trooper was ‘acting erratically,' find dead dog in condo
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A New Jersey State Trooper, Alexander Lark, is accused of firing a gun in his condo and 'acting erratically' on Thursday, according to police officials. The Wayne Police Department received a 911 call from a condo complex at 12:55 a.m. Residents reported hearing a commotion in one of the units, police said. More Crime News When officers arrived, they found a man (Lark) acting erratically in the front parking lot; he had destroyed a stop sign. The responding officers attempted to engage with Lark, but he pushed one of the officers to the ground, police said. The officers were able to restrain Lark and take him into custody. They determined that Lark was a resident of the condo complex. Upon entering the condominium, they discovered a deceased dog that had been shot. A firearm was found on the floor of the unit, authorities said. Lark was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. He faces charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Charges for animal cruelty are pending, authorities said. The Wayne Police Department notified the New Jersey State Police Internal Affairs Division of the incident. Boy arrested after armed carjacking and police pursuit in Wayne County, authorities say
A boy is in custody after an alleged armed carjacking and police chase in Wayne County Thursday night. The Wayne Police Department says officers responded to a report of an armed carjacking around 10 p.m. Authorities say a Mitsubishi Outlander was stolen at gunpoint. Responding officers spotted the Mitsubishi on Annapolis Street near Venoy Road and attempted to make a traffic stop, but the boy continued driving, police say. The boy stopped around one block east on Columbus Street, near Annapolis Street, after a short police pursuit. He and another boy riding in the Mitsubishi then ran from the vehicle. Police say officers chased the boys on foot for a short time. The boy driving the Mitsubishi was taken into custody and placed at the Wayne County Juvenile Facility. The boy passenger was not taken into custody. No one was injured during the incident. It's unknown if charges will be filed.
