Seventeen's 4th Japan single earns triple platinum
Seventeen certified triple platinum in Japan with its fourth single in the country, said agency Pledis Entertainment on Thursday. Single 'Shohikigen' was recognized by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for surpassing 750,000 shipments as of March. It is the band's fifth album to clinch the certification and is the first single album to do so. The three-track album was released in November last year and headed straight to the top of Oricon's Daily Singles Ranking. It also topped its Weekly and Weekly Combined Album Rankings, and returned to the No. 1 spot on the daily chart in January. The band is soon to thank its fans in person soon as it is set to host fan meetups — at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on April 24, 26 and 27 and at Saitama Super Arena on May 10-11.

Zerobaseone expands pop-up store to China
Zerobaseone is opening a pop-up store in Beijing for its fifth EP 'Blue Paradise' in April, agency WakeOne Entertainment said Tuesday. The band ran pop-ups in Seoul and Tokyo to mark the release of the mini album and will bring the event to China from April 3-26. Visitors to the temporary space can experience multiple zones where they can complete a mobile mission and play games as well as purchase exclusive merchandise. The EP sold over a million copies on the day of release in February, becoming the group's fifth consecutive million-selling album, and topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 12 regions. It also debuted atop Oricon's Weekly and Weekly Combined Album Rankings. The main track from the album, 'Blue,' came in first place on television music chart shows three times, and the band released a Japanese-language version of the song last week. In April, the band will host its second fan concert in Seoul, dubbed 'Blue Mansion,' for three days. glamazon@

Zerobaseone to host 2nd fan concert
Zerobaseone will greet fans at its second fan concert 'Blue Mansion,' slated to be held in Seoul on April 18-20, agency WakeOne Entertainment said Monday. The nine members will host the event 1 1/2 years after their first fan concert which was held at Gocheok Sky Dome in August 2023. They will demonstrate the performance skills they have honed through the 'Timeless World' concert tour, which took them to eight cities across Asia and drew about 140,000 attendees. A concert film of the tour will come to cinemas Wednesday. At the upcoming fan concert, the bandmates will perform songs from their fifth EP 'Blue Paradise." The mini album came out last month and sold over one million copies on its day of release, becoming Zerobaseone's fifth consecutive million-seller. The EP topped Oricon's Weekly and Weekly Combined Album Rankings as well as the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 17 regions.

Zerobaseone goes platinum with 1st Japan EP
Zerobaseone earned platinum certification in Japan with its first EP in the country, said agency WakeOne Entertainment Wednesday, citing the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The EP 'Prezent' achieved the feat only two weeks after debuting atop Oricon's Daily, Weekly and Weekly Combined Album Rankings. The mini album consists of six tracks, including two main tracks 'Now or Never' and 'Only One Story.' The latter was unveiled in advance as the opening theme song for the Japanese television animation show 'Pokemon.' On Feb. 24, the band will bring out its fifth EP 'Blue Paradise.' According to the tracklist uploaded Tuesday, the album will comprise six songs. Three will be by subunits –- each featuring trios -- a first for the rookie group. Lun8 to tour Europe in April Boy band Lun8 is planning to tour Europe in April, agency Fantagio said Wednesday. It will visit five cities –- Warsaw, Berlin, Koln, Germany, Madrid and Amsterdam – from April 20-29 for its first tour in the region. The band is slated to release the single 'Butterfly' on Feb. 19 and uploaded teaser photographs Wednesday. Two group members, Dohyun and Ji Eunho, have been taking time off since last month for health reasons while Eunseop decided to leave the team. Although the new single will feature only five, the management company announced a new member, Yuma, who will join the team from the European tour. Lun8's second single in Japan 'Together Forever' rose to No. 3 on Oricon's Daily Single Ranking in December last year.
