Zerobaseone will greet fans at its second fan concert 'Blue Mansion,' slated to be held in Seoul on April 18-20, agency WakeOne Entertainment said Monday.
The nine members will host the event 1 1/2 years after their first fan concert which was held at Gocheok Sky Dome in August 2023. They will demonstrate the performance skills they have honed through the 'Timeless World' concert tour, which took them to eight cities across Asia and drew about 140,000 attendees. A concert film of the tour will come to cinemas Wednesday.
At the upcoming fan concert, the bandmates will perform songs from their fifth EP 'Blue Paradise." The mini album came out last month and sold over one million copies on its day of release, becoming Zerobaseone's fifth consecutive million-seller. The EP topped Oricon's Weekly and Weekly Combined Album Rankings as well as the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 17 regions.

Seventeen lands atop Oricon chart with LP No. 5

Seventeen claimed the top spot on Oricon's Weekly Album Ranking with fifth studio album 'Happy Burstday,' according to the Japanese chart published Tuesday. The band topped the chart for the 14th time, adding on to its own record for the most time at the top for an international act. The album is its 10th consecutive album to sit atop the weekly chart, doing so with the most shipments for a non-Japanese act this year, at 457,000 copies. The LP stayed atop Oricon's Daily Album Ranking for six days straight. The album sold over 2.52 million copies in the first week, the most for a K-pop album released this year. Meanwhile, the bandmates are appearing on variety show 'Nana Bnb With Seventeen,' teaming up with star TV producer Na Young-seok for a second time. The first episode aired Monday.

Seventeen sets this year's first-week sales record

The fifth studio album from Seventeen sold the most copies in its first week of any K-pop album this year, said agency Pledis Entertainment on Monday. LP 'Happy Burstday' logged over 2.52 million units in the period, after exceeding 2 million on the day of release, also a first this year. The album topped a series of music charts abroad, including Oricon's Daily Album Ranking while main track 'Thunder' landed atop Melon's Top 100. The 16-track album does mark the band's 10th anniversary but is a 'bold claim that Seventeen isn't just celebrating the past but charging headfirst like a buffalo into a new territory,' wrote Billboard magazine. It is 'a stepping stone between the past and future, celebrating their growth over past decade and the transformation that's yet to come,' said NME magazine.

BoA marks Japan debut anniversary with single, tour

BoA will release a single in Japan on Friday in celebration of the anniversary of her debut in the country, agency SM Entertainment said. It's her first new song for Japanese fans in three years, following her compilation album 'The Greatest,' which marked the 20th year since her first Japan release. She made her debut in Japan in 2000 with 'ID: Peace B' and, in a first for a Korean singer, claimed the top spot on Oricon's Weekly Album Ranking in 2002 with her first LP, 'Listen to My Heart.' The artist co-wrote the lyrics and melodies for the single 'Young & Free,' a medium-tempo tune full of summer vibes. BoA also announced plans to tour Japan for the first time in six years. The tour, dubbed 'BoA: One's Own,' is set to kick off in Osaka on Sept. 20 and will conclude in Tokyo on Nov. 1.
