Suspects sought after abducted Cambridge man dies in Guelph crash: OPP
Wellington OPP is searching for five suspects after a Cambridge man, who died in a crash in Guelph, was believed to be kidnapped from a residence and assaulted prior to the collision. Police said the incident unfolded on May 14, at approximately 6 p.m., when officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles on the southbound Hanlon Parkway, north of Stone Road. The Cambridge man, 40, was found at the scene with life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Through investigation, officers learned the man was abducted from a residence on Fife Road and assaulted. Police believe it was an isolated incident. The five suspects, police said, fled in two different vehicles. The first vehicle is a grey 2010 Toyota Venza SUV with Ontario licence plate CVBX 602. The second vehicle is a white 2013 Dodge RAM pickup truck with Ontario licence plate BZ 85153. Police are asking residents and businesses in the area to review their security camera footage and share any relevant images or videos with the OPP. Drivers who were in the area at the time are also asked to check their dash cams for any footage that may show the collision or suspect vehicles. 12-year-old dead after bicycle collides with farm equipment near Mount Forest
Social Sharing A 12-year-old child is dead after a collision between a bicycle and a skid steer on a farm near Mount Forest. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wellington North Fire Service, and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service were called to the property near Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 around 10 a.m. on Saturday for a report that a child riding a bicycle had collided with the skid steer. The child was taken to a trauma hospital by Ornge air ambulance in critical condition. In a release Tuesday, OPP said the child had been pronounced dead in hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision. OPP are investigating the cause of the collision.

Thieves take $30K worth of fragrance products from Fergus Shoppers Drug Mart
Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police released these three images as part of an investigation into the theft of thousands of dollars worth of fragrances from a Shoppers Drug Mart in Fergus, Ont. Police are trying to sniff out a trio of thieves who took thousands of dollars worth of fragrances from a Shoppers Drug Mart in Fergus. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were called to a break and enter on Tower Street South on Sunday around 3:45 a.m. Investigators said three suspects smashed their way into the business about 15 minutes before the call came in. The suspects broke the store's front glass door and caused considerable damage to glass display cases. Around $30,000 worth of fragrances were taken. Police have released three images as part of the ongoing investigation. Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to contact police.
