Hensol Castle Distillery Partners with Welsh Producers on Summer Range

Hensol Castle Distillery is teaming up with several artisan Welsh food producers in new partnerships. Award-winning Welsh ice cream maker Fablas Ice Cream has infused a range of handcrafted ice creams with Hensol Castle Distillery's spirits, creating a limited-edition run of dairy ice creams specifically for adults. In addition, Hensol Castle Distillery has collaborated with local delicatessen Elephant & Bun, based in Cowbridge, to create special edition rum and raisin Welsh Cakes, made using Hensol Castle Spiced Rum. Chris Leeke, Managing Director at Hensol Castle Distillery, said: 'We are thrilled to partner with two fantastic Welsh food producers to bring a little extra spirit to South Wales this summer. Here at the distillery, we are passionate about quality and innovation, and these new collaborations are a great way to celebrate our craft whilst supporting local businesses. We're very proud to be part of a community that values creativity and flavour as much as we do.'

Kate Middleton & Prince William's Trip to Wales Has Fans Talking—And They All Agree on One Thing

Kate Middleton and Prince William are back at it—working together, that is. The royal duo made a trip to Wales, stopping by an indoor market in Pontypridd that was hit hard by back-to-back storms late last year. Their visit was part of the lead-up to St. David's Day (Wales' national holiday) on March 1 and let's just say, this wasn't your average walkabout. William and Kate spent the day touring the town, popping into local shops and—perhaps the sweetest part—trying their hand at making traditional Welsh cakes. At The Welsh Cake Shop, the couple donned matching aprons (major twinning moment) and got behind the counter to bake alongside the shop's owner. The whole outing was documented on Instagram, with the pair sharing a carousel of photos from their day. "Anyone for Welsh Cakes? A pleasure to be back in Wales, in the lead-up to St. David's Day this weekend! Thank you to the lovely people of Pontypridd for the warm welcome," they captioned the post. The carousel post had all the feel-good moments: William and Kate rolling out dough, William handing out freshly made cakes, Kate chatting with local kids (using her signature go-to parenting approach, of course) and plenty of shots of the pair strolling through town, greeting well-wishers. If the photos are anything to go by, the couple had a great time—and royal watchers loved seeing them together. The comments section was flooded with excitement. "Joint engagements have been so missed! It's been such a lovely day and you both look like you're having the best time," one fan wrote. Another added, "So glad they are back working together after everything they had been through last year." A third chimed in, "Great to see you both out and about and both looking well and happy." And the love kept pouring in with others commenting, "Adorable to see them together and so happy! Smiles everywhere" and "So lovely to see them together, to many more joint engagements." Mark Cuthbert/UK Press via Getty Images This marks William and Kate's second joint outing of the year, following Kate's surprise appearance at the Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony in London last month. Here's hoping for plenty more royal double acts in 2025. Want all the latest entertainment news sent right to your inbox? Click here.
