Red Hot Chilli Pipers to perform at the NYS Fair
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Yes, you read that right. The Scottish rock band, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, has been added to the growing lineup of performances at this year's NYS Fair.
The group, which contains bagpipers, guitarists, keyboardists, and drummers, made their claim to fame in 2007 after winning 'When Will I Be Famous' a primetime television show in the United Kingdom.
They will be performing at Chevy Court on Wednesday, August 27 at 6 p.m.
The group has released nine albums in all, including 'Blast Live,' which was certified platinum three times in 2008, while their fourth album skyrocketed to the No. 2 spot on Amazon's Top Music Chart behind only Adele's record-breaking album '21.'
'We're always trying to bring the next big act to The Fair that will leave fairgoers feeling as if they just experienced something totally unique,' said Fair Director Julie LaFave.
The Fair starts Wednesday, August 20, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 1.
