White Lotus star Walton Goggins flaunts his newfound sex symbol status on SNL, jokes about his receding hairline
After praising a skit, mocking his White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood, Walton Goggins made his own debut on Saturday Night Live on May 10 and didn't shy away from flaunting his new sex symbol status that he gained after White Lotus Season 3. The 53-year-old danced his way to the stage, joined by his mother for a special tribute to Mother's Day weekend, and surprised the audience with an unexpected tap dance move. Later in the show, Goggins' co-star from the HBO series, Sam Rockwell, also joined him for a pre-recorded hilarious sketch talking about tiny feet. Surprisingly, he didn't mention Aimee once.. Walton Goggins played the role of Rick Hatchett in The White Lotus alongside Aimee Lou Wood's Chelsea. During his SNL monologue, Goggins joked about the unexpected attention he's been getting from fans and the media, especially after his character's brooding persona in the show. 'I die in The White Lotus, but I guess my character is so brooding that the internet found it… attractive,' he said with a laugh. 'Some of my friends even ask me, 'Walton, what's it like becoming a sex symbol at 53?' Honestly, it feels fantastic!' However, seconds after flaunting his appeal, he cracked another joke, this one on himself, bringing up some of the headlines that had been written about him. The two started with a slow dance before surprising everyone with a special tap dancing routine. In an interview with The Times, she called the scene bizarre and spoke about her son's newfound fame. And I had been warned — although Sam said that the worst bit was the first ten minutes, but they kept flashing back. So I'd relaxed and then it wasn't true at all.'
