Defying the odds, International Master Divya Deshmukh and Grandmaster Koneru Humpy reached the concluding point, where Divya Deshmukh scripts history for India After the classical games ended in a stalemate, the contest moved to the tie-breaker, where Deshmukh pounced on an error made by Humpy and claimed the title. It was a moment of extreme jubilation for the 19-year-old, as she etched her name in the history books to become the first Indian to win the FIDE Women's World Cup.
