Kylie Kelce Says Daughter Wyatt Going to Kindergarten Has ‘Gotten' Her: ‘It's a Little Emotional'
Kylie Kelce is all of Us as her daughter Wyatt, 5, begins her educational journey.
"We're getting ready for kindergarten, which is going to be exciting,' Kelce, 33, told People in an interview published on Wednesday, August 13. 'I'm having my mom moment about kindergarten and the fact that it will be like the start of school, right? Like, it's not preschool, it's school. So it's a little ... I didn't know that this would be what would get me, but it has gotten me once or twice to just be like, 'Oh, you're leaving me... every weekday for the rest of your life. It's a little emotional."
Kylie also shares daughters Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 4 months, with husband Jason Kelce. She admitted that her girls have been hoarding all sorts of craft supplies and gadgets in their backpacks over summer break.
"We have to get all of the toys out of our backpacks because we have packed in. I think they have thought since school ended in the spring that they have just been packing their backpack. It is chock full of like random [stuff]," she explained. "I'm talking a wooden wedge of watermelon, like two toy cars, Play-Doh that has dried into spaghetti. I think it's technically a worm if you ask them. There is just so much in their backpack right now that has no business going to school, so we will need to do that first.'
Kylie Kelce Says Her Daughters Recognize Uncle Travis Kelce's 'Red Team' During Football Games
Kylie previously opened up about the family's summer plans and her girls attending camp for the first time.
'As a parent, everybody knows that when school lets out that means we have all day, every day, at home with each other. It's so much fun, we're having fun,' Kylie said on a June episode of her 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast. 'But this summer is the first summer where the girls are actually going to do some camps. And when I say camps, I mean, they're 5 and 4, guys. We're doing, like, a three- to four-day situation. I think it is maximum three hours, like, we're really … it's just to get them out somewhere else, anywhere else, and moving around.'
Once fall rolls around and the girls are settled in their school routine, Kylie is hopeful they will all be able to catch uncle Travis Kelce play in some Kansas City Chiefs games. (Jason, 37, retired from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024.)
Kylie Kelce Shares Adorable Pictures of Daughters Looking Nearly Identical: 'I Just Hit Copy Paste'
'The girls have not yet been to an Uncle Trav game just because a lot of opportunities that we've had to go and support Trav have been, even just last year, a lot of Monday nights. I think two different Monday Night Football opportunities,' Kylie told People. 'But as anyone knows, an 8 p.m. start is not conducive to a 5, 4, and 2-year-old. We're not tagging in on that, so maybe we'll get out there for a nice 1 p.m. Sunday with the girls.'
Who knows. Maybe the whole squad will roll up with Travis' girlfriend, Taylor Swift, for a nice family day out.
'We are, as always, cheering on Uncle Trav through and through all season,' Kylie added.
