Kylie Kelce Says Daughter Wyatt Going to Kindergarten Has ‘Gotten' Her: ‘It's a Little Emotional'

Kylie Kelce is all of Us as her daughter Wyatt, 5, begins her educational journey.
"We're getting ready for kindergarten, which is going to be exciting,' Kelce, 33, told People in an interview published on Wednesday, August 13. 'I'm having my mom moment about kindergarten and the fact that it will be like the start of school, right? Like, it's not preschool, it's school. So it's a little ... I didn't know that this would be what would get me, but it has gotten me once or twice to just be like, 'Oh, you're leaving me... every weekday for the rest of your life. It's a little emotional."
Kylie also shares daughters Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 4 months, with husband Jason Kelce. She admitted that her girls have been hoarding all sorts of craft supplies and gadgets in their backpacks over summer break.
"We have to get all of the toys out of our backpacks because we have packed in. I think they have thought since school ended in the spring that they have just been packing their backpack. It is chock full of like random [stuff]," she explained. "I'm talking a wooden wedge of watermelon, like two toy cars, Play-Doh that has dried into spaghetti. I think it's technically a worm if you ask them. There is just so much in their backpack right now that has no business going to school, so we will need to do that first.'
Kylie Kelce Says Her Daughters Recognize Uncle Travis Kelce's 'Red Team' During Football Games
Kylie previously opened up about the family's summer plans and her girls attending camp for the first time.
'As a parent, everybody knows that when school lets out that means we have all day, every day, at home with each other. It's so much fun, we're having fun,' Kylie said on a June episode of her 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast. 'But this summer is the first summer where the girls are actually going to do some camps. And when I say camps, I mean, they're 5 and 4, guys. We're doing, like, a three- to four-day situation. I think it is maximum three hours, like, we're really … it's just to get them out somewhere else, anywhere else, and moving around.'
Once fall rolls around and the girls are settled in their school routine, Kylie is hopeful they will all be able to catch uncle Travis Kelce play in some Kansas City Chiefs games. (Jason, 37, retired from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024.)
Kylie Kelce Shares Adorable Pictures of Daughters Looking Nearly Identical: 'I Just Hit Copy Paste'
'The girls have not yet been to an Uncle Trav game just because a lot of opportunities that we've had to go and support Trav have been, even just last year, a lot of Monday nights. I think two different Monday Night Football opportunities,' Kylie told People. 'But as anyone knows, an 8 p.m. start is not conducive to a 5, 4, and 2-year-old. We're not tagging in on that, so maybe we'll get out there for a nice 1 p.m. Sunday with the girls.'
Who knows. Maybe the whole squad will roll up with Travis' girlfriend, Taylor Swift, for a nice family day out.
'We are, as always, cheering on Uncle Trav through and through all season,' Kylie added.

Taylor Swift reveals ‘Life of a Showgirl' album cover, track list and release date on Travis Kelce's 'New Heights' podcast

The new release is Swift's 12th album. It's no longer a cruel summer. Taylor Swift officially announced her new album The Life of a Showgirl on Aug. 12. And one day later, she shared more details about the upcoming work — including the cover art, track list and release date — as well as other surprises during her appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights. Fans noticed Swift was up to something earlier in the day, when a cryptic countdown was posted on Swift's "Taylor Nation" Instagram Story. The countdown led to 7 p.m. — when the New Heights podcast episode was set to drop. The post showed a glowing orange door, the same one that appeared on stage behind Swift during the Eras tour, as well as a link to Swift's website, which featured the same image, with the door slowly descending. Over the course of four hours, on every hour, four squares with locks at the center appeared next to the door. First there was an orange lock, then pink, then blue and finally white. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that in the center of each lock, where a key would be placed, was the same shape as the stage layout at the Eras tour. When 7 p.m. arrived, Swift's website revealed the cover of The Life of a Showgirl, which featured Swift in a sparkling outfit, laying in a pool of green water. The four squares corresponded to deluxe editions of the album. All are available until Aug. 16, while supplies last. Swift's Instagram post revealed the release date of the new album: Oct. 3. Swift also provided followers with the album's track list: The Fate of Ophelia Elizabeth Taylor Opalite Father Figure Eldest Daughter Ruin the Friendship Actually Romantic Wish List Wood CANCELLED! Honey The Life of a Showgirl, featuring Sabrina Carpenter The producers of the album are Max Martin, Shellback and Swift herself. Also at 7 p.m. came the drop of Swift's special episode of New Heights, hosted by Swift's boyfriend Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce. Swift discussed the Eras Tour, reclaiming her masters and her relationship with the NFL player in the episode. Swift also talked about what inspired the 12 songs that were written during her time on tour, calling it a look at what went on "behind the curtain" in her personal life. She said that unlike her albums Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, which came with surprise additional songs, there would only be the already revealed 12 tracks on this album. Swift explained that the new work "comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervescence has come through on this record." She also teased that there is additional photography and a poem on the inside of the album that will be revealed when the record drops. Swift added that while past albums were more lyrically focused, Showgirl will boast "infectious anthems" that will have "lyrics that are just as vivid but crisp and focused and completely intentional." Swift's initial album reveal came in the form of a teaser for the podcast episode — but the clip, dropped on social media at 12:12 a.m., held back some key details. It showed Swift holding the album, but with the cover art blurred out, revealing only the green-and-orange color scheme. Swift, who completed her worldwide Eras tour in 2024, has long dropped "Easter eggs," or clues about her future work, for fans. The Life of a Showgirl album drop is no exception. A video posted to social media ahead of Swift's Miami performance on Oct. 18, 2024, showed the artist standing in front of section A12 — a clue as to when her album announcement would arrive. That night, she also performed her 1989 album set in orange and green — the colors of the Miami Hurricanes, in whose home stadium Swift performed, and also a hint at the aesthetic of the album to come. Swift has been regularly spotted in orange-and-green outfits over the past year, possibly foreshadowing the color scheme of the album. And one of the bigger clues came in the official music video for 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,' which featured backstage moments from the Eras tour. In the video, dancers rehearsed using orange feather fans — a prop that was never used on stage. The Eras tour performance of 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart' featured Swift at her most "showgirly" — and she even had Kelce join her onstage during her June 23, 2024, show in London for the song. Sixth form students at Queen Elizabeth School and Queen Elizabeth Studio School in Kirkby Lonsdale are celebrating 'record-breaking' A-level results. A total of 113 students from the two schools achieved what the school described as an "extraordinary milestone" in this year's results. Nearly half of all grades were a B or higher, and 80 per cent of results were a C or above. Students found success in a range of fields (Image: Supplied) David Waugh, executive headteacher, said: "We are incredibly proud of all our students, whose exceptional results are a direct reflection of their commitment and the dedication of our staff and their families. Lola Barker will study acting at York St John University, Lily Timmis will pursue costume design at the University of Salford, and Phoebe Lunn will study animation at the University of Central Lancashire. The school also celebrated students choosing to pursue careers in education. Alice Chee will study education at Bath Spa University, and Rebekah Clarke will continue her studies in education at the University of York. Ms Turner, director of sixth form, said: "We're proud to send students into diverse fields, and it's exciting to see so many pursuing careers in creative industries." Future entrepreneurs were also recognised in this year's cohort. Liv Wozny and Georgina Simpson are both preparing to launch their own businesses—Liv in sport and personal training, and Georgina in photography. The school said it had "no doubt" that these students would become future "Dragons of the Den." A spokesman for the school said: "As the Class of 2025 prepares to embark on their exciting journeys, we congratulate them on their outstanding achievements and wish them continued success in all their future endeavours."

AI Toolbox: PSL's Kevin Leneway on why he's loving Cursor and Midjourney

Kevin Leneway. (GeekWire File Photo / Todd Bishop) The pace of innovation in AI is unprecedented, and it's difficult to keep up with the latest tools, models, and workflows. That's why we're excited to spotlight Seattle's leading technologists and their favorite AI tools to get a pulse on what's being used and how it's creating value. First up: Kevin Leneway, a principal software engineer at Pioneer Square Labs. Favorite tools: Cursor (AI-powered code editor) and Midjourney (AI image and video generator) How he uses Cursor: 'I spend most of my day in Cursor and I have a solid workflow that greatly accelerates my ability to build new products.' Why he likes Cursor: 'A lot of devs I know have been switching to Claude Code, but I like going deep on one tool that has the ability to switch between different model providers so I can always be using the right model for the job at hand.' How he uses Midjourney: 'For the recent Bolt Hackathon, I tried my hand at building a throwback choose-your-own-adventure style game and used Midjourney to create all of the assets.' Why he likes Midjourney: 'They recently added two very useful features: video generation and Omni Reference. Omni Reference allows you to use the same character for multiple images, so you can do things like create consistent characters in a longer story arc. The video generation feature is quite strong and overall I thought the quality was quite good.' Have a favorite tool or app that others should know about?
