Brighton and Paris marathon runner walks between cities
A man who ran the Brighton Marathon, walked to France and then completed the Paris Marathon has said his "legs are pretty stiff".After the Brighton event on 6 April, Matt Clayton, from Rustington in West Sussex, walked 11 miles (17.7km) to Newhaven to catch a ferry to Dieppe, then walked 105 miles (168.9km) to Paris, before running that city's marathon on Clayton said he even managed to set a new personal best in the French from the airport on Monday morning, he said he "couldn't wait to get home".
"Before the Paris Marathon, my calf was really stiff, and as I got started, it seemed to free up," he told BBC Radio Sussex."I felt incredible stamina-wise and got 11 minutes off my PB from Brighton the week before."He added: "The weather has been incredible all week. I have got very lucky on that front."His efforts have been to raise money for the Wynn Trust, a charity which helps former boxers who have suffered brain has so far raised more than £3,000, but said there were "definitely no more challenges lined up"."I have other events signed up, but nothing like this," he added.
