Rebecca Romijn says "wasn't sure" if she completed shoot for 'Avengers: Doomsday' - 'The script hasn't ...'

The script hasn't -- they haven't finished writing it Rebecca Romijn shared that she wasn't sure if she had finished filming for the forthcoming Marvel film because the script wasn't fully complete. "I'm not quite sure," she said when asked if she was done shooting her scenes. "The script hasn't -- they haven't finished writing it. It's been very, very fun, and we don't know yet. They keep everything very close to the vest themselves in an effort to keep everything under wraps," as per The Hollywood Reporter. When asked if she had read the script, she didn't open up much about it, saying, "I cannot confirm nor deny that I have read the entire script." She also admitted she "can't say" who she's filmed scenes alongside, but it was a "surreal" experience shooting with some of her original X-Men co-stars with a new, blended cast, as per the outlet. "It was very surreal to be with my old cast as well as a new cast. I had crazy dreams while I was there for a large chunk of the shooting. Like, really kind of regressive dreams," she shared. The actress also shared what it was like revisiting the role of Mystique, nearly 20 years after she last portrayed the character in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand. "Oh, I know her very well. I went back in with full ownership of her. It was very nice to go back and play that character, 'cause I had imposter syndrome in the very beginning," she said. "I thought, maybe at the very beginning, I was just cast because I happened to be the model who was available to play Mystique at that moment. I mean, I auditioned and I got the role, because when you're very young, you're like, Do I deserve to be here? And I did not have that going back this time. It was a very different experience." Marvel revealed the Avengers: Doomsday cast in late March, which notably includes a string of actors from 20th Century Fox's X-Men universe. Joining Romijn from the inaugural 2000 film are Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto and James Marsden as Cyclops. The Traitors host Alan Cumming also returns as Nightcrawler, whom he played in 'X2: X-Men United', and Kelsey Grammer as Beast, from X-Men: The Last Stand, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Nicholas Hoult speaks out on Kelsey Grammer's Beast return for Avengers: Doomsday
Nicholas Hoult is 'excited' to see what Marvel does with Kelsey Grammer's Beast in Avengers: Doomsday. The 70-year-old actor portrayed the mutant superhero in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past in 2014, and with Grammer set to reprise his role for Marvel's upcoming team-up blockbuster, Hoult - who played a younger Beast from 2011's X-Men: First Class to Dark Phoenix in 2019 - has now opened up on getting the chance to see Grammer back in action as the character for Avengers: Doomsday. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the 35-year-old actor said: 'Kelsey was a great Beast. He was the Beast I saw when I was a kid.' The Superman star added he was also glad to see Grammer's fellow X-Men stars Sir Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto) and James Marsden (Cyclops) get the chance to suit up once again for the 2026 Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film. Hoult said: 'Those were the characters that I got to watch in X-Men movies. I'm excited to see what they do with it. 'It'll be fun to see how they incorporate those characters into that world.' Even so, the Nosferatu actor insisted he would not appear in Avengers: Doomsday as a younger Beast, and bluntly replied, 'no' when asked if he had been approached by Marvel to reprise his role. As well as Grammer, Stewart, McKellen and Marsden, other X-Men alums set to reprise their repective roles for Avengers: Doomsday include Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique) and Channing Tatum - who portrayed Gambit in last year's Deadpool and Wolverine. Cumming recently teased he could be fighting Pedro Pascal's Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming movie. During a video interview with Buzzfeed UK, Cumming said: 'I was learning stunts yesterday for some fight scene and I just think, I'm 60 years old. 23 years ago, I played that superhero. 'I was kind of old for a superhero even then. And now I'm back doing it. And that, to me, is hilarious. 'I'm sort of learning these fights and I'm like, 'What? Who am I fighting with?' And they said, 'You're hitting Pedro Pascal against the head,' or something.' The actor - who played Nightcrawler in 2003's X2: X-Men United - added he was 'amazed and excited' to be returning as the mutant for Avengers: Doomsday. Speaking with fellow X-Men alum Olivia Munn for Collider, Cumming said: 'Isn't it nuts? I'm excited and amazed. It's been 23 years since I was a superhero.' Cumming also revealed the makeup process for Nightcrawler had been drastically cut down since his last appearance in X2: X-Men United. He continued: 'I've had some makeup tests already for the role, but what's great about it was that before it was about four and a half hours to apply it, but now it's only 90 minutes. 'Before, all of the tattoos were done by hand. They hadn't decided on them before we started filming. Now, they just stick onto my face. It's a game changer. 'I'm going back to being a 60-year-old superhero, and everyone seems really lovely.' Avengers: Doomsday will likely see the X-Men, the New Avengers and the Fantastic Four join forces to try to stop the dreaded Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.), who has cataclysmic plans for the Multiverse.

Avengers: Doomsday may have started filming 15 days ago, but one of its stars still hasn't seen a script: "I've had a preliminary introduction to the idea"

Still, it should come as a surprise that – over two weeks into filming – one of its stars says they haven't seen a script yet. "I've had a preliminary introduction to the idea," Grammer said of his Avengers: Doomsday return during an appearance on Literally! With Rob Lowe. "They are still very secretive about the script." Admittedly, Grammer may only need to know a small part of Avengers: Doomsday for his return as Beast – and he may not yet have stepped on set at all in London. But it does echo recent comments from fellow cast mate and Thunderbolts star David Harbour when he spoke to GamesRadar+. "I don't know if you were in the same position, but I kind of knew I was gonna be in it, but I didn't know anybody else was gonna be in it, I don't have a story, I don't have a script, anything like that," Harbour said to John Walker actor Wyatt Russell. Russell added, "I know it changed about a thousand times, and it's still changing. So you're kept on your toes. It's like, I don't know what is happening, but, you know, you get a call, and it's like 'The eagle flies north tonight'. And you're like, 'Okay, I have to get on an airplane.'" Grammer portrayed Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. He later reprised his role in the MCU as part of The Marvels post-credits scene which saw Monica Rambeau wake up in another universe to be greeted by Beast and an alternate version of her mother, Maria. According to the Los Angeles Times, actresses Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge were among those who accused the 55-year-old director of harassment on November 1, 2017—allegations Ratner has denied. An Amazon spokesperson expressed their excitement, stating: "We are excited to share this truly unique story with our millions of customers around the world,". Their relationship appears to have grown closer, with speculation that Amazon may contribute $1 million to Trump's inaugural fund. The Daily Beast also reports that Bezos is one of several prominent corporate leaders who have recently met with Trump, as Wall Street figures seek to align themselves with the incoming Trump administration.
