Such is the secrecy surrounding Marvel Studios' big projects, it's little wonder that we know next to nothing about Avengers: Doomsday. Still, it should come as a surprise that – over two weeks into filming – one of its stars says they haven't seen a script yet.
"I've had a preliminary introduction to the idea," Grammer said of his Avengers: Doomsday return during an appearance on Literally! With Rob Lowe. "They are still very secretive about the script."
Admittedly, Grammer may only need to know a small part of Avengers: Doomsday for his return as Beast – and he may not yet have stepped on set at all in London. But it does echo recent comments from fellow cast mate and Thunderbolts star David Harbour when he spoke to GamesRadar+.
"I don't know if you were in the same position, but I kind of knew I was gonna be in it, but I didn't know anybody else was gonna be in it, I don't have a story, I don't have a script, anything like that," Harbour said to John Walker actor Wyatt Russell.
Russell added, "I know it changed about a thousand times, and it's still changing. So you're kept on your toes. It's like, I don't know what is happening, but, you know, you get a call, and it's like 'The eagle flies north tonight'. And you're like, 'Okay, I have to get on an airplane.'"
Grammer portrayed Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. He later reprised his role in the MCU as part of The Marvels post-credits scene which saw Monica Rambeau wake up in another universe to be greeted by Beast and an alternate version of her mother, Maria.
Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on May 1, 2026. For more, check out our guides to upcoming Marvel movies and Marvel Phase 6.

Matthew McConaughey lost ‘Titanic' lead role over refusing to do James Cameron's simple request

Iceberg ahead, alright, alright, alright. Matthew McConaughey, 55, almost landed the role of Jack Dawson in James Cameron's 1997 film 'Titanic,' but lost out due to his Southern drawl. In a new posthumous memoir, 'The Bigger Picture' by Jon Landau, the late producer detailed the casting in depth. 11 Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet in the 'Titanic.' ©20thCentFox/Courtesy Everett Collection According to a snippet obtained by Matthew Belloni's What I'm Hearing newsletter, Kate Winslet, who was already cast as Rose, 'was taken with Matthew, his presence and charm.' Cameron, 70, meanwhile, wasn't having it. The filmmaker told McConaughey, per Landau's book, 'That's great, now let's try it a different way.' 11 The Bigger Picture' by Jon Landau. Penguin Random House McConaughey, who was raised in Texas, allegedly quipped back, 'No. That was pretty good. Thanks.' 'Let's just say, that was it for McConaughey,' Landau penned. The role of Jack ultimately would go to Leonardo DiCaprio. The Post reached out to McConaughey's rep for comment. 11 Matthew McConaughey. 'So I went and read with Kate Winslet, and it was not one of the auditions,' he said, 'they filmed it so it was like into screen test time.' 'After we left, you know, it was one of those ones where they, like, followed me, and when we got outside, they were like, 'That went great.' I mean, kind of, like, hugs. I really thought it was going to happen. It did not.' 11 James Cameron. AFP via Getty Images The 'Dazed and Confused' star also set the record straight on rumors that he was offered the part. 'I asked Cameron about this, because the gossip over the years that I heard and would see written about me was that I had the role in 'Titanic' and turned it down,' McConaughey recounted. 'Not factual. I did not get offered that role.' 'For a while, I was saying, 'I gotta find that agent. They're in trouble,'' he teased. The blockbuster hit followed a poor artist named Jack Dawson (DiCaprio), who falls in love with Winslet's Rose, a rich debutante, while the pair are aboard the 'unsinkable' RMS Titanic in 1912. In March, Zane, 59, who played Caledon Hockley, revealed that he doesn't rewatch the 1997 film. 'No, but I get sent photos. When it's on, my phone blows up because everyone's [sending]. I have more photos of flat screen TVs in nondescript rooms. It's like, 'Hey you're on!'' Now, a decade later, the couple and their three kids, Levi, 17, Vida, 15, and Livingston, 12, still reside in McConaughey's home state. 'No, it's just as important, if not more important,' McConaughey continued. 'Especially if you have some level of success and access. No becomes more important than yes.' 'I mean, we all look around and see we've over-leveraged our life with yeses and go, 'Geez, oh, man, I'm making C minuses and all that s–t in my life because I said yes to too many things.' I have many times in my life where I'm going through autopilot,' he added. 11 Livingston McConaughey, Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves McConaughey, Vida McConaughey, and Levi McConaughey. FilmMagic Before moving to Texas, McConaughey and Alves, 42, lived in Malibu, Calif. At the time, the Oscar winner was best known for a slew of rom-coms, including 'How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days,' 'The Wedding Planner,' 'Failure to Launch,' and 'Fool's Gold.' 'That was my lane, and I liked that lane,' he said of his rom-com work. 'That lane paid well and it was working. But the lane was… I was so strong in that lane that anything outside of that lane, dramas and stuff that I wanted to do, were like, 'No, no, no, no, no McConaughey.' Hollywood said 'No, no, no, no, you should stay there, stay there.'' Wanting to expand beyond that genre led them to embark on a new journey. 11 Camila Alves McConaughey and Matthew McConaughey attend the 2025 Joy Awards. So there was purpose coming to look forward to,' he recalled. 'But I was still like, 'Man's gotta work.' Making chimes and working in the garden wasn't cutting it.'

Instagram is finally rolling out the feature you've been waiting for

Earlier this year, Instagram was spotted testing a new repost feature that would let users to… well… reshare a post or video they liked and wanted the rest of their followers to see, as well. The idea is not too different from what users have been doing on platforms such as X since 2016. Today, the repost feature on Instagram has gone official, under a new name, of course. While watching a Reel, you will now see a new repost icon on the right edge of the screen, sandwiched between the comment and message options. The icon will also show the number of times it has been reshared, just like the number of comments, likes, and DMs attracted by a post. The repost tool will be available for static posts, as well. For such content, the repost control will be positioned under the post, alongside the rest of the engagement controls. Instagram, in the true spirit of 'taking inspiration' from rival platforms such as X, will also let you add your thoughts to a repost using a small bubble. Recommended Videos Think of quote tweets, but now on Instagram. Whatever you muse about a repost will appear on the left side of the screen, with your profile picture and a text bubble over it. The design is familiar with the notes that appear in the DMs section of Instagram, sitting underneath the Stories carousel. How does reposting on Instagram work? But that's not where the inspiration stops. When someone opens your Instagram profile page, they will see a dedicated feed for all the content you have reposted. Meta says it's also an opportunity for content creators to gain more visibility. 'Reposts are credited to the original poster. If you're a creator, this means that if your content is reposted by someone else, it may be recommended to that person's followers, even if those people don't follow you,' says the company. Competitive xerox… at its Meta best In addition to reposts, Instagram is also drawing some 'inspiration' from Snapchat. Again. To that end, the platform is adding a new tool called Instagram Map. This one allows users to share their locations with their friends, and also check out what others are posting from different locations within a map view. Not everyone is a fan of this copycat approach, and for good reasons. Coming back to Instagram's latest feature, it is turned off by default, and you must opt in for location sharing to broadcast your whereabouts. You will have the option of sharing the location with mutuals, Close Friends, and only selected friends. Users will also have the option to block location sharing from certain spots, and also restrict selected accounts from viewing it, somewhat like WhatsApp status updates. The map view will show all kinds of content, such as reels, posts, and stories, and will be visible for a span of 24 hours from the time it was originally shared. Finally, Instagram is also adding a new feature called Friends that will appear as a dedicated tab in the Reels hub, where you can see all the content with interaction from your friends and online acquaintances.
