Olly Murs cancels Glasgow OVO Hydro concerts after 20 minutes amid health fears

Music fans have been left bitterly disappointed after the singer wrapped up his Glasgow gig way ahead of schedule Olly Murs has dramatically cancelled his concert in Scotland after just 20 minutes due to health concerns. The X factor star had fans buzzing for his gig at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on Thursday night (May 22). Thousands of fans had packed out the major venue and were excited to see the pop sensation take the stage. However, reportedly just 20 minutes and five songs into his set, Murs pulled the plug on the show. ‌ It is understood the entertainer lost his voice during the gig. A video posted on X, previously Twitter, shows the Troublemaker chanter issuing a grovelling apology to supporters about axing the concert. ‌ The 41-year-old also promised to sort out refunds for "anyone who was unhappy". In the clip, the musician, who previously presented the Xtra Factor with the late Caroline Flack when the popular talent show was still on TV, said: "This is so unlike me, so I just want to say sorry from the bottom of my heart. "I don't want to upset you guys, I'm so sorry. We'll sort out refunds for anyone who's unhappy but Glasgow I will be back to see you guys soon, I'm so sorry, I'll see you soon, I love you all, that's the best I can do, so sorry." Angry fans who were at the called-off show took to X to share their frustration and disappointment at having to head home early. Some Scots who were there also claimed Murs' reason for wrapping the show up early was something of a bizarre U-turn as his voice initially sounded "fine" when the curtain first dropped. ‌ "No way has Olly Murs walked off the stage with a sore throat after five songs," one social media user blasted, accompanied by a crying face emoji. Another ranted: "There will be no dancing with Ollys Murs tonight at the Hydro." A third chimed in: "One minute Olly Murs' voice is fine and the next he sends everyone home after just five songs at a packed OVO Hydro in Glasgow complaining of vocal issues." ‌ A fourth went on: "Olly Murs walking off stage in Glasgow five songs in could cry!! Better be coming back and I better get first pick." Another ranted: "Olly Murs cancelled in the middle of his gig and had to leave due to issues with his voice. Get well soon, Olly". Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Olly Murs first appeared on screens back in 2009 as a contestant on The X Factor. Despite coming in second to Geordie singer Joe McElderry, Murs has gone on to release chart-topping singles and five number one albums. Murs previously spoke to STV News about his now-cancelled show, saying that Glasgow is his favourite stop on tour.

They penned: 'Good luck, proud of you! If you were running in front of me in those tight pink shorts…that's all the motivation I would need to get to that finish line 'Well done on the Marathon. Not so sure of the colour pink', 'He's worn those shorts for a reason, go on Jake you got this.' 'Best of luck!!! You need some tighter shorts ' 'Good luck Jake. P.s I think those shorts might provide a distraction today.' Captioning his post, Jake penned: 'Let go London Marathon…. When times get hard think of your WHY…. What's your reason and that will get you through it. Not sure how long it will take, would like a decent time but it's not about that really…. Raising money, doing things out your comfort zone and making yourself do hard things. Good luck everyone.' Jake went on to successfully complete the marathon in three hours, 33 minutes, but admitted that he broke down in tears at the finish line as no-one was there to greet him. CBB fans fume minutes into the final as they're 'fed up' of 'annoying' element

After almost three weeks, Celebrity Big Brother's 2025 series is coming to an end with the ITV show set to crown its winner during an explosive live final - but fans have been left unimpressed minutes into the show Celebrity Big Brother fans have rushed to complain about the ITV show minutes into the final. Viewers hit out at the music being played during the first two evictions which saw Chris Hughes and Chesney Hawkes. "Stop playing sh** f**king music over the evictions. The crowd is there and booing/cheering for a reason. They want to be heard. S**t," one fumed. Another agreed: "They've borrowed the emotional music from the X factor and BGT and I'm just waiting for Susan Boyle to sing us out and Simon Cowell to press the golden buzzer." ‌ "NOONE NEEDS THIS S**T MUSIC PLAYING OVER THE EMOTIONAL SCENES. ITS S***. WHOEVER DID THIS I HATE YOU," someone else echoed. And another said: "100% dude, I don't get why ITV are so obsessed with putting music throughout the show. This isn't Love Island, TOWIE etc. We went 11 years without background music on Channel 4 and it was perfect then so don't need it now." ‌ After almost three weeks in the iconic house, the ITV show revealed which of the six semi-finalists had received the most votes from the pubic with an extra-long episode. While the series began with 13 housemates, one particular star didn't make it to the end of the first week - with Mickey Rourke being asked to leave after a number of incidents within the house. Big Brother gave Mickey a formal warning for using homophobic language towards JoJo Siwa on his second day in the competition and by day six, we had been asked to leave. The Hollywood star was kicked out after six days in the house for "further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour". It came after the 72-year-old aggressively confronted Chris Hughes during a pirate task and called him a "c***" and made a sexually crude comment to Ella Rae Wise. After Tuesday's triple eviction, just six housemates remained in the Celebrity Big Brother house: Chesney Hawkes, Chris Hughes, Danny Beard, Donna Preston, Jack P. Shepherd and JoJo Siwa. ‌ Unfortunately, Angellica Bell, Patsy Palmer and Ella Rae Wise narrowly missed out on places in the final, with the trio being evicted during the show's triple elimination on Tuesday. In the run-up to tonight's final, there has been a lot of discussion among fans around Chris and JoJo's relationship after the pair grew close on the show. Earlier in the week, fans slammed Chris on social media after catching him plant a kiss on JoJo's head while they bathed in the hot tub on the livestream. "I don't care what anyone says anymore!!!! Chris and JoJo's relationship and how they act with one another is so inappropriate. Imagine JoJo's girlfriend watching this. She's not going to be okay with this behaviour," one fan fumed. ‌ Meanwhile, Chris reportedly walked away from his role on ITV Racing ahead of entering the CBB house. The former Love Island star had previously been involved in co-hosting race meetings such as the Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot. An insider revealed: "Chris had a dream job on ITV Racing, but things turned sour after his ITV wouldn't up his pay. He wasn't paid what he thought he was owed. He had a great rapport with Oli in the Social Stable, and ITV Racing viewers have been left wondering where he went."

Sharon Osbourne cancels entire talk show tour at the 11th hour

The former X Factor judge should be in Scandinavia this week but has cancelled four shows at the last minute Sharon Osbourne has cancelled her entire talk show tour at the last minute and in mysterious circumstances. The former X factor judge and wife of rocker Ozzy was due to head to Scandinavia this week for a series of four shows she calls 'Cut The Crap'. ‌ One venue in Helsinki detailed the event saying: 'Sharon Osbourne, the well-known international TV personality, is now making her debut on stage – live. On her European tour, she'll be interviewed by Danish model and actress Brigitte Nielsen. 'On stage, Sharon promises to reveal everything about the most challenging years of her eventful life.' But the dates, which were due to kick off in Stockholm tonight have now all been cancelled. The Mirror has gone to the promoter for comment but he has not responded at the time of going to press. When we called Oslo's Folketeateret Venue where she was due to be appearing on Saturday, they said the event was cancelled and said they believed it was due to a "family issue". A spokesman for Sharon said they did not know why the tour had been cancelled. We have also approached her agent in the US. ‌ Sharon appears to be in the US at the moment and has posted on social media about the Coachella festival and also sent fans an Easter message. Sharon will be back on the road soon though and is due to join Ozzy this Summer at his final ever show on stage. Ozzy and Black Sabbath will headline their final gig on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, as part of an event titled "Back To The Beginning". ‌ This show will reunite the original band members – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – for the first time in 20 years. The concert will also feature sets from various heavy metal bands, including Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera. But Ozzy's poor health means he won't be able to play a full set. Speaking about Metal Hammer magazine, Sharon said: "Ozzy's very excited and feels very overwhelmed that all the guys in Sabbath and his mates are all turning up. "It's the perfect way to say goodbye to his fans, because that was his big regret - he felt he never had a chance to say 'thank you' to the fans, and this is the perfect way his career should end." Sharon has managed Ozzy's incredible career for decades and was a judge on The X Factor from 2004 to 2007, and she returned in 2013, and again from 2016 to 2017. She was the winning judge in the 10th season when Sam Bailey, a contestant from the Over 25s category.
