6 Summer Dresses And The Accessories To Pair Them With, From Bandana Headscarves To Raffia Bags

We all know the devil is in the details, and this maxim couldn't be truer than in the hotter months, when we eschew layering for a single, breezy garment: the summer dress. Such simplicity makes getting dressed much easier, but it also requires clever accessorising to set your outfit apart from the rest. Here you have it, dear reader: our guide to the six best summer dress styles and the hottest accessories with which to pair them. We are extolling the virtues of the nightie-turned-dress, the Y2K-inspired strapless mini, and the bubble-hem midi – not to mention a trio of perfect maxis, in lace, denim and linen, respectively. They are the perfect bases for SS25's trending accessories, from raffia bags and oversized pendant necklaces, to bandana-style headscarves and charm-adorned chain belts. Find your perfect pairing, below. The basket has long been a hot-weather staple and this summer is no exception, with the emergence of sleeker styles (from Anya Hindmarch and Alaïa, amongst others) for those that want to balance the breeziness of raffia with the polish of a ladylike bag. Tote one alongside a well-cut denim maxi dress – both materials feel rustic, but the silhouettes say otherwise. We've called it: the bandana-style headscarf is this season's cutest accessory. As seen on Alexa Chung, Gracie Abrams and Emily Ratajkowski, it is a nostalgic addition to every outfit, which is why it's the perfect partner to the vintage-tinged nightie dress. Take it from Chloé's Chemena Kamali - a romantic, sheer dress and charm-laden chain belt are a match made in heaven. Opt for a mesh or chiffon maxi, layering your favourite bikini beneath when on holiday. Aviators are a perennial classic, but this season, they are bigger than ever. Bonus points if they err on space-age like Loewe's cult style. This futuristic frame calls for a sleek, strapless dress; we adore this silk and linen mini from Prada's 1998 show. Ah, the tent dress – it's the only thing we want to slip into when temperatures are soaring and luckily for everyone, it is still very much trending thanks to Khaite and The Row. It's the perfect canvas for a statement pendant necklace, like this beauty from Juju Vera that's on every fashion editor's wish list. You could offset the playfulness of a bubble-hem dress with slides (as seen at Alberta Ferretti) or a masculine-edged shoe (see JW Anderson). We say have even more fun with a pair of retro jelly shoes – either Ancient Greek Sandal's trending ballet flats or Chloé's in-demand kitten heels.

Meet The Under-The-Radar Summer Capsule That's About To Go Viral, Very Soon

Nothing in life is certain, except as they say, death and taxes; and well, the internet's obsession with Amelia Dimoldenberg's new flirtationship of the week. From Andrew Garfield and Damson Idris to Bella Hadid, the chicken nugget-fanatic has charmed all our faves (and us) with her personal brand of awkward deadpan one-liners. Naturally, her show Chicken Shop Date is a highly discussed monthly event here in the Grazia offices. However, it's not just her resting bitch face and chemistry with her famous co-stars that have us hooked; it's her impressive fashion choices. From custom Chopova Lowena and full Miu Miu looks on the red carpet to repping cool girl-faves including Coperni and Shushu Tong on her dates, Dimoldenberg's style is ridiculously good. So it was hardly a surprise when she announced her collaboration with Y2K-inspired label Peachy Den. London-based Peachy Den is something of a cult legend in fashion circles, having amassed an A-list fan following including Olivia Dean, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, Raye, and Mia Regan (who just released a covetable collab with H&M). You might have seen the brand's gingham co-ord set on every stylish Londoner (and her friend) last summer. It stands to reason, then, that the Peachy Den x Amelia Dimoldenberg collection can expect a similar response. Launching today, 17th July 2025, this new 10-piece capsule was first teased in Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date With Bella Hadid, where she wore a slogan tee cheekily emblazoned with the phrase 'Flirty'. Another piece from the capsule also made its way to her date with Addison Rae: a sparkly metallic knitted top that could easily fit in at a club in the Noughties. Standing right where Peachy Den's sculptural designs meet Dimoldenberg's tongue-in-cheek personality, the collection features a carousel of pieces that feel as nostalgic as they are trendy. Think halter-neck tops, bandeau dresses and even a mini skort. Rounding out the playful collection is, obviously, the famous slogan tee which, as expected, is already out of stock. Peachy Den's smocked Deba set was so popular that it became an instant bestseller for the brand, selling out faster than most shoppers would have liked. Now, with the fashion set already excited for the brand's Amelia Dimoldenberg collab and the Flirt Tee selling out at record speed, we'd wager a guess that the rest of the collection will be flying off the online shelves before the weekend. So why not save yourself the regret and stock up on your It girl summer wardrobe while stocks last below. Millennials triggered by traumatizing fashion accessory making a comeback: ‘It's giving PTSD'

In the early 2000s, one of these belts was likely hanging around your hips — and now, they're back to haunt a new generation. Disk belts, the flashy, divisive accessory that once accompanied low-rise jeans everywhere, are making a comeback thanks to Gen Z's obsession with Y2K fashion. Stores like Primark are proudly displaying them, as reported by The Sun, and TikTok is sounding the alarm. Advertisement One millennial mom was not amused when her teenage daughter reached for one. In a recent TikTok video, creator Nina Dixon (@ninadixon28) documented her daughter beelining for the blinged-out, circular belts — and the mother's reaction said it all: pure fashion flashback horror. 'I can't believe that they've made a comeback,' Dixon said while filming the 'round ones' hanging with the rest of the trendy belts. Advertisement The TikTokker went on, 'You do realise that when I was about 14, that is what we used to wear.' She joked that she was feeling 'PTSD' after seeing a relic of the past for sale once again. In her caption, shocked Dixon wrote, 'They were not lying when they said fashions come back around. I need to find a photo of me in one of these.' One commenter wrote beneath the video, 'I am old I am OLD!' as another added, 'How is this stuff coming back?' with crying and laughing emojis. Advertisement 3 Millennials are shocked that this trend is back in style. BoujeeBora/TikTok Someone else chimed in, commenting, 'Violently thrown back to the micro mini skirt and chunky belt era' as one other defended the daughter in the video, 'why cant she like it.' In another recent TikTok clip, user Shunta (@shuntamosby) also filmed these throwback belts during a T.J. Maxx shopping trip and seemed to be in disbelief that they returned. Advertisement 'What a throwback! I'm sure some of my Elder Millennial peers owned a few! Relive those glory days or discover something new!' she captioned the video. The creator also referred to these as 'nostalgic' and 'boho' leather belts. One wrote under the post, 'I most certainly had one,' as someone else added, 'I never had one, maybe I did. I just don't wanna remember.' Another user said they would 'rock a couple of em now,' as someone else commented, 'The Beyonce influence.' And these aren't the only Y2K-inspired items stunning millennials and catching the eyes of Gen Z-ers lately. 3 Younger generations are now trying to get their hands on these dated belts. NinaDixon28/TikTok As previously reported by The Post, the Von Dutch trucker hat — the early aughts crown jewel once perched atop Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan — has also been staging a full-blown comeback. Last fall, the cult-favorite cap clawed its way out of the 2000s style grave and back onto famous foreheads. Kylie Jenner rocked a bubblegum-pink version on the cover of Elle's November 2024 issue, while sister Kendall and catwalk queen Bella Hadid have also dipped their trucker-hat-clad toes into the early aughts revival. Advertisement Mentions of Von Dutch have skyrocketed a whopping 13,000% in the past year, according to Business of Fashion — and on resale sites like Depop, searches for 'Von Dutch' and 'trucker hat' are up 40% and 90%, respectively. Ultimately, it seems Y2K called — and Gen Z is answering on speakerphone.
