Join as partners in P4
Nellore: Nellore Municipal Commissioner YO Nandan has appealed philanthropists to extend their cooperation to the government by joining as partners in P-4 programme of State government's prestigious Vision 2047. In response to the call given by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on P4 programme, representatives from corporate organisations met Municipal Commissioner Nandan on Wednesday. Nandan said that the government is proposed to construct parks, schools, public toilets, arranging streetlights, establishing Solar Panels at the areas of which poor people living in slum areas in the city. Representatives from SEEL Company, Simhapuri Estate Developers, Reliance Jio Kameswara Rao, Chennareddy, Vishnu respectively, City Planner Hima Bindhu and others were present.

Nellore civic body adopts APRSS for removal of silt
Nellore: To ease from the burden of labour and reduce the financial cost associated with the employing workers, the municipal administration first of its kind in the state has adopted highly sophisticated technology called All Powered Robotic Sorting System(APRSS) for removal of silt in the drains and irrigation canals. This technology was introduced in an experimental basis with Zenco Robotic Mechine(ZRM) for removal of silt in the major drain located at Ramurthy Nagar in the city on Tuesday. Nellore Municipal Commissioner Y O Nandan along with sanitary department officials witnessed the silt removal through APRSS and expressed satisfaction over this innovative procedure. Speaking the occasion, the NMC Commissioner said that for several your major drains and canals in the city totally covered with silt as they were turned as mosquito breading centres leads people suffered threatening with several viral infections. He said that non removal of silt reasoned to flowing drain water on the streets during rain seasons. To overcome such problems following direction Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Ponguru Narayana it was decided to remove the silt in all drains and canals in a phased manner. The Commissioner detailed in view of overcoming the burden of labour it was proposed to remove the silt with ZRM as such it will remove the silt even deep drains, wells and canals and also time saying reduce the financial cost.

10K kitchen gardens to be set up in next 6 months: Collector
Nellore: Suggesting people to take environment protection as social responsibility district Collector O Anand said that it was decided to establish as many as 10,000 kitchen gardens across the district in the coming six months. As part of Swarnandhra - Swachh Andhra, the Collector along with Nellore municipal commissioner YO Nandan has conducted 'Beat the Heat' programme at Water Tank Park in the city on Saturday. The Collector said that they planned to conduct awareness camps to women headed by MEPMS in every village to grow kitchen gardens in their house premises. He said that already 200 women from MEPMA have established kitchen gardens at their houses and he hopes it will be increased to 10,000 in coming six months. MEPMA PD Radhamma, Nellore TDP Rural in-charge Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy and others were also present.

Officials told to allocate TIDCO houses to eligible persons
Nellore: Nellore Municipal Commissioner YO Nandan has directed the officials to ensure allocation of houses under PM Avasa Yojana (PMAY) through Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDCO) to the eligible poor in the city. The NMC Commissioner has conducted a review meeting with the officials over the status of TIDCO houses at Venkateswarapuram, Allipuram, Akkachrruvupadu and Kallurupalle Layouts in the city on Wednesday. The Commissioner has directed them to allocate the houses to the new beneficiaries in place of old once like death cases, ineligible for bank loans, etc reasons. He said that selection of new beneficiaries should be transparent manner in the interest of justifying the needy. Nandan has said that as per the guidelines top priority should be given to the family hereditariness of deceased and not secured bank loans. He said that as per the norms of Reserve Bank the beneficiaries, who wanted to secure the bank loan must have good Credit Information Bureau India Limited (CIBIL) score only such persons should be enrolled as joint partners of the project. He directed the officials to select the beneficiaries under the CIBIL score concept to secure bank loans. He ordered them to hand over houses to the new beneficiaries by completing all necessary official formalities including arranging bank loans by June 12. Commissioner Nandan has appealed the bankers to ensure for sanctioning the loans liberally in the interest of eligible poor to own the houses. TIDCO DCO Rama Subba Rao, NMC Housing Department staff, officials from MEPMA and others were present.
