Rod cut a casual figure in a Hoops tracksuit as he walked with Sean Stewart.
The musician completed the look with dark shades and green trainers.
The Maggie May singer is a passionate Hoops fan and even got behind the bar in a Glasgow pub to serve pints to fans.
He mentions them in one of his most popular hits, You're In My Heart, and along with his sons, he has a seat for life at Parkhead.
It comes as Celtic prepare to host Kairat of Kazakhstan in the first leg of their Champions League play-off tie tonight.
Rod and his backing singers recently brought Paradise to Glastonbury as they rocked the stage in Hoops gear.
He wore a green suit and shirt with 'Celtic' emblazoned on the back as he finished a sensational set on the Pyramid stage back in June.
In January, the Hoops paid tribute to Rod as he celebrated his milestone 80th birthday.
They surprised the music legend with a special birthday post on their social media, including photos from some of his memorable moments supporting the club.
He can be seen hoisting trophies, and waving his green-and-white scarf above his head on the pitch.

The rock-star splashed the cash for his special day, as he went all out to treat his close friends and family.
After the birthday celebration, a source told MailOnline: "He's known to be a cheapskate but not this time.
"He flew everyone to Florida first class and has told them they won't need to put their hands in their pockets for a thing."
Rod recently revealed he fears he will die if he gives up touring.
He said: "I enjoy going out on tour now more than I've ever done at this ripe old age of 80.
"I'm doing seven concerts in Vegas and then I am everywhere around the world.
"I'm playing Athens, Germany, three nights in Buenos Aires, two nights in Rio, it goes on and on and on.
"It keeps me fit. You have got to be fit to do it.
"I would probably die if I didn't do it. I have seen so many guys that have to give up their career and retire and they have got nothing to wake up in the morning for.
"I don't know what they do with themselves. They must get up and go 'What do I do today? Down the betting shop? Have a drink?' I don't know."
