Noel Gallagher and James Blunt feud revived as Oasis star branded 'sad human'

Oasis' Noel Gallagher was said to have sold a property in Ibiza once to avoid having to live by James Blunt and the You're Beautiful singer has since shared his thoughts Singer-songwriter James Blunt has criticised Noel Gallagher. He described the fellow musician as a "sad human being" in a segment on a podcast that has attracted attention this month amid the ongoing Oasis reunion tour. ‌ James, 51, is said to have moved into the same neighbourhood as Noel, 58, in Ibiza almost two decades ago. It's been claimed that Noel, however, decided to sell his property at the time to avoid having to live close to James. ‌ You're Beautiful singer James has spoken about tension with Noel over the years, including on the High Performance podcast. The podcast shared a clip from the episode, with fans on Instagram over the weekend. ‌ In the clip, James is heard sharing his thoughts on the High Flying Birds member. He said on the podcast: "Noel Gallagher's never said anything unkind to my face. He just always does it to your back when he's trying to flog music." James also said in the video: "[Noel was] saying he can't live in Ibiza because I live down the road - well, what a sad human being he is because it's a big enough island. You don't have to ... I'm not asking you to come and see me." ‌ He continued: "Weirdly house prices went through the roof the moment he left, actually, and I don't know whether the house prices went up because he'd left or because I'd arrived. But y'know there's gotta be some connection." Oasis: What's Their Story? An unofficial celebration magazine on sale now! A few simple words on social media on August 27 in 2024 were enough to spark pandemonium among Oasis fans and were the catalyst for the most eagerly awaited UK gigs of all time. This special unofficial magazine, available to order here, marks the reunion and honours the band both now and down the years with our incredible archive of photos and interviews - and with exclusive reviews and photographs of their first show! ‌ Alongside the clip, the High Performance podcast teased in the caption that Noel isn't a "fan" of James. It added in the post on Saturday: "Our interview with [James] is available to watch and listen to now on all podcast platforms!" The post comes amid Noel touring with his brother Liam Gallagher at the moment. The Oasis Live '25 tour has already been to Cardiff and Manchester, with it now heading to London for shows at Wembley Stadium in the next week. It has previously been reported that Noel criticised James in 2006 when he was planning to buy a property next to him in Ibiza. It's been reported that Noel announced that he would be selling his holiday home as he didn't want to be living close to James who would be making "terrible music". ‌ James has spoken about Noel on several occasions in recent years. As previously reported, it included during an appearance on the Where There's A Will There's A Wake podcast, with him having been a guest on the podcast in 2023. He's quoted as having said: "I do actually bump into Noel at various places and he only says these things behind your back. To your face he's a coward. He said he couldn't have me writing my s****y songs just down the road from him." viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.

James Blunt slams Damon Albarn and 'sad human being' Noel Gallagher

James Blunt has made his feelings clear towards two fellow British music icons—Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn. The You're Beautiful hitmaker, 51, is famous for his sarcastic clapbacks on social media and putting haters in their place, as well as his lovey-dovey lyrics, of course. But this time, it's two celebs from his industry being shut down. Speaking to Jake Humphrey on the latest episode of High Performance, James recalled past comments from Oasis star Noel, 58, but revealed they've always been made behind his back, having already made it known he reckons Noel is 'two-faced'. 'Noel Gallagher's never said anything unkind to my face; he just always does it to your back when he's trying to flog music,' he told the podcast. 'And Noel Gallagher saying he can't live in Ibiza because I live down the road? Well, what a sad human being he is,' James blasted. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 'It's a big enough island! You know? I'm not asking you to come and see me. 'And weirdly, house prices went through the roof the moment he left, actually, and I don't know whether the house prices went up because he had left or because I'd arrived, but there's gotta be some connection.' Wonderwall singer Noel began splitting his time between the UK and the party island in 1999 when he purchased a home there for £2.5million from Mike Oldfield. It's believed he even had a nightclub named Blunty's at the bottom of his garden, which featured a neon sign reading 'Where everyone is beautiful' in a nod to James's chart-topping tune. However, things turned sour when the High Flying Birds frontman said he was 'fed up of hearing James Blunt bang on about Ibiza like he owns the place'. A source added previously: 'He can't stand the thought of Blunt writing crap tunes up the road.' Consequently, Noel felt James's presence had 'taken the charm out' of the Spanish island, and he put his villa on the market for a whopping £5.5m in 2008. As for Damon, 57, songwriter James isn't his biggest fan either. 'There I was on Jools Holland, and at the end of the Jools Holland show, they take a picture of all the musicians, and Damon Albarn refused to be in that photo because I was on the episode with him,' James shared. 'He said that in front of you?', host Jake asked. 'No, his management went and spoke to the producers of the show, and he's a big deal, so they went along with that, which is bizarre too because they should've just told him not to be such a p***k,' James replied. 'And so I was then held back in my dressing room … while all the musicians were lined up around Jools Holland for the photo with Damon, and then he was led out to his car and off he went home, and I was brought out for the second photo, and only one of those makes the Wall of Fame, but it's very petty stuff.' On why his name has come up so often in these conversations, James had an articulate response. 'It's very easy for us as musicians, or people in the public eye, to fall for the trap when we're trying to flog our own music, when someone says, 'Which album don't you like?' or 'Which musician don't you like?' We just fall for that,' he explained. 'And it's too easy for us to start saying, 'I don't like this person, I don't like that person…' and we say whoever's the easiest whipping boy or girl at the time, and I happen to be that person.' Thankfully, though, there has been one person who had James's back… and it might not be someone you'd expect it from. More Trending 'There I am at the Q Awards, and I'm up for one of the awards, and I guess the Gorillaz were up for the same award,' he recalled. 'I was lucky enough that day to get it, so maybe Damon was…,' James began, not finishing his sentence but seemingly suggesting Gorillaz star Damon might have resented his triumph. 'But there, Keith Flint of The Prodigy, what a rock star, what a punk rock star, a guy you'd think would be the most unfriendly, he just came up, grabbed me, put his arms around me, and said, 'Good for you, mate, I'm so thrilled for your success,' and it was a hug that meant a lot to me at the time. 'He was an amazing, gentle, kind human being.' Got a story? The small 'museum' is actually a red telephone box, nestled in the hedge on the side of a road in rural Herefordshire. Inside, there are images of the 'You're Beautiful' singer and a number of facts about him. James Blunt even replied to the post about the location, commenting: "Completely forgot to announce the opening of this fantastic cultural experience in glorious Herefordshire. "Free entry for both my fans." Then in May, Blunt posted again about the unlikely tourist spot. He said on X: "I'm excited to announce that the James Blunt Museum in Herefordshire has recently been refurbished, and is now back open and accepting visitors. "It really is a glorious place to take the family this summer. Please come early to avoid the queues." Alongside the jokey post, he included a link to a Tripadvisor page for the telephone box and a photo of people queuing outside it. The phone box is free to visit. Many people have taken to TikTok to share the wonder, including Visit London - who garnered over 50,000 views on their post about the noses. The noses are made from plaster and are attached to buildings in the district. They were created by Rick Buckley back 1997 as a protest against the rise of CCTV cameras in the area. 11 Soho in London is home to some viral noses Credit: Alamy Originally, there were around 35 noses in Soho but only seven remain today. Rumour has it, if you find all seven of the noses you will get good luck or wealth. The noses are located at Admiralty Arch, Bateman Street, Dean Street, Meard Street, Endell Street, Great Windmill Street and D'Arblay Street. The noses are often mentioned on tours, but can also be hunted for, for free. Mannakin, Lincolnshire Perhaps on the creepier side, the so-called mannequin mountain in Lincolnshire went viral over the pandemic. The bizarre heap of over 15,000 mannequins was set up by Roz Edwards, after people began remarking how her business of buying and restoring dummies to sell in shops and hire out to film crews, was unnerving. The 50-year-old set up Mannakin like a cemetery and is now a immersive experience that visitors pay £15 to walk around. 11 In Lincolnshire, you can stay at a 'mannequin graveyard' for £25 a night Credit: Alamy You can even stay overnight at the site for £25. A video posted on Facebook of the site gained over 600,000 views, with users comparing the site to an episode of Doctor Who or like something out of Umbrella Academy. One recent visitor said: "I have just experienced the most bonkers enjoyable stay with all the mannequins! "Lovely friendly welcoming hosts. Who knew how much deliberation is needed when choosing a body part to decorate!" The Forbidden Corner, Yorkshire Set in the Yorkshire Dales, The Forbidden Corner has gained a lot of attention on social media. The attraction is essentially full of tunnels, mazes and unusual statures to explore. 11 The Forbidden Corner in Yorkshire has several unusual attractions Credit: Alamy All it takes is a quick search on TikTok of 'Forbidden Corner' to find this attraction and see the sheer amount of people who are now flocking to the weird destination. One TikTok video claiming it to be "the strangest place in the world" has over 5.1 million views. Posted by @Yorkshirefi, the user comments how it took them over two hours to explore and includes singing rats, passages you have to crawl through and even rooms that are set up like satanic rituals. Tickets to the attraction cost £18 for adults or £16 for children. Novelty Automation, London Novelty Automation is one of the weirdest places I am yet to stumble across in the capital. Essentially an arcade with a twist, the destination is home to some weird games and machines that are bound to give you a laugh. 11 Novelty Automation is essentially home to the oddest arcade machines Credit: Alamy Dubbed as a museum, visitors can explore and play on a number of satirical machines like operating a nuclear reactor, meeting an alien's mum and getting frisked. I won't ruin anything - but let's just say some will make you jump out of your skin. A video of one of the machines on TikTok has even racked up over 41million views. Tokens cost £1 each. BP petrol station and Spar, Sheffield Getting petrol never seems like a 'trendy' thing to do. But one petrol station in Sheffield appears to have garnered attention and become the place to go, if you need fuel in Sheffield. Or - in the case of many TikTok videos - run out of ideas of day trips to go on. 11 And even a petrol station went viral in Sheffield Credit: Google maps One TikTok posted by @ garnered over 1.7million views and showcased the items you can purchase from the petrol station including frozen Fanta drinks for £4.25, free-dried sweets and unique flavours of Dr Pepper like strawberries and cream. The petrol station is free to visit, providing you don't have fuel to pay for or buy any of the goodies inside. 'Wisteria-hysteria' and cherry blossom Even though this one is not a specific location, each year it goes viral and therefore needs to be included. We all love pretty flowers and in the summer months, stately gardens are great places to visit to see a variety of fauna and flora. But two floral trends recirculate each year - 'Wisteria Hysteria' and cherry blossom hunting. Whilst Japanese blossom tends to happen early spring, wisteria occurs through late April to early May. Head onto TikTok during the relevant season and your feed will soon fill with videos of wisteria spots or blossom finds close to you. 11 Whilst pretty to see, people go crazy for blossom and wisteria each spring and flock to places that have them Credit: Getty Many of the videos quickly gain hundreds-of-thousands of views and people have been known to travel to spots recommended to see the flowers. I remember back in the spring I head to Battersea Park - which is confidentially near me. When I reached the line of blossom trees that I had seen plastered over Instagram, I could barely used the path as hoards of people crowded around around the trees to snap pics. The different flowers are completely free to explore and can often be found close to your home. The Black Dog, London Whilst not completely unheard of for a pub to go viral, The Black Dog in London received massive attention - and consequently huge visitor numbers - all due to a Taylor Swift song. Located in Vauxhall, the pub went viral after Taylor Swift mentioned it in her song 'The Black Dog' on her album 'The Tortured Poets Department'. 11 The Black Dog in London seems like a normal pub but was name-dropped in a Taylor Swift song Credit: Alamy The song includes a lyric about spotting an ex going into the pub in the first verse: "I am someone who until recent events / You shared your secrets with / And your location, you forgot to turn it off / And so I watch as you walk / Into some bar called The Black Dog". The pub quickly cottoned on to their new-found attention and launched Swift-themed food and drinks. The pub even created it's own TikTok account which quickly gained thousands of followers. The account's first post of some pictures of the pub and the caption "your cozy little pub gets name-dropped in the new Taylor Swift ablum??!" captured 1.1million views. The pub is free to visit, unless you want a pint. Shell Grotto, Margate Shell Grotto in Margate is essentially what the name states. The obscure grotto was discovered in 1835 by accident when someone stepped through their garden and nearly fell into it. The grotto boasts walls made up of over 4.5million shells and videos of the destination on TikTok have gained hundreds-of-thousands of views. 11 Shell Grotto was discovered by someone on accident and is home to over 4.5million shells Credit: Alamy One TikTok even reached 1.7million views, with users perplexed at how it was built and who managed to count the number of shells used in the grotto. Shell Grotto tickets cost £4.50 per adult and £2 per child. Greyfriars Kirkyard, Edinburgh As a huge Harry Potter fan, I beelined for this spot as soon as I was in Edinburgh on a holiday last year. The graveyard gained attention after people noticed that many of the gravestones have names on that are the same as some of the main characters in the Harry Potter series. JK Rowling rote inside the nearby Elephant House Cafe and she has openly explained how graveyards used to give her inspiration for the characters in her books. The graveyard is located in the Old Town and fans can find names including Thomas Riddell. 11 Greyfriars Kirkyard has graves with the same names of Harry Potter characters Credit: Alamy Many of the videos posted on social media have gained thousands of views and likes, with many users noting other destinations in the city that are related to Harry Potter. The graveyard is free to visit but donations are welcome. The Sun's Alice Penwill recently headed to America to try the viral Crumbl cookies – they beat the UK but there was a downside. And The Sun's Sophie Swietochowski tried the new viral Dubai chocolate ice cream served at a top London attraction – but it was a huge disappointment.
